BWS Kalgoorlie

Went to BWS to purchase 4 or 5 litre wine casks for our extended travels only to be told they can’t stock or sell them by law. Had I known this earlier, I would have carried enough stock for our extended travels from Victoria. Disappointing….

Bad customer service every time!
The recent 5 times I’ve been in there the staff, which varies, are so obnoxious! Self-absorbed and prickly, not welcoming, no friendliness, can’t even manage a smile, there’s an air of treatment and regard for each person as if they’re deserving of the arrogance and rudeness for whatever reason it’s so completely unnecessary I can’t believe they’re allowed to treat customers that way on a regular basis. Security can be rude at times and I get the job they’re there for but there’s no need to act like every person that goes in there is under some form of scrutiny. We are paying customers who choose that business because of the convenience of the location. That can certainly be undone by this sort of treatment. Kalgoorlie BWS needs a customer service overhaul.

Fat, lazy staff that will sell you warm beer!

Went in to buy a carton from the chiller, it was warm.
Obviously the fat, lazy staff would know if the beer is cold or not!

Absolutely appalling. Not accepting digital, photo ID in 2020 is nothing short of embarrassing. Never going back

Staff are friendly and willing to help all the time, there's almost always a sale or promo going on. My preferred go to when I buy my alcohol

Location Woolies Coles spec savers POffice red rooster even though I am a vego, and Fu Wah all in very short walking distance of each other.

Very helpful and friendly. Like all other BWS stores however has very limited craft beer. Primarily large brewery versions and only 1 or 2 dark beers.

Very nice people im a local here in kalgoorlie and its called the city of pubs but ill never go bast BWS kalgoorlie

Convenient location and friendly staff; minus one star for a somewhat limited selection and slightly higher than Perth prices. Given the extra transport costs, I do understand the additional mark-up.

The security guys should take photos of the cars parked in the disabled bays with no Acrod tickets.

If I could give ZERO stars I would but seeing as that's not an option, I guess I will give one as I'm dying to write this review. I'm hoping that in writing this someone will read it and rectify the situation immediately so that no one feels victimised and embarrassed as we all did. I often give my business to this store when purchasing beverages and today when walking in with my two friends, we all thought we were receiving a friendly hello from the security guard. All three of us friendly ladies replied to his hello with a warm "how's your day" he then proceeded to accost us demanding to see our IDs, claiming we were 'running away from him' and 'making it hard for him' as he was going to ask for our IDs sooner or later.we hadn't even made it to the first rack of white wines. Not one of the three of us had heard him requesting to see our IDs. All of us are in our mid to late 20s were not used to being asked.and we certainly were not 'running away' we simply wanted to spend some of our hard earned $$ on the makings for a dirty martini Anywayssss we all left with a very sour taste in our mouths and as much as we all wanted to go back with our IDs and flash it in his face as he was SO rude when asking we've decided to give our business elsewhere.
