Found these guys on Instagram because their cakes looked amazing and they did not disappoint!
Ordered their basque cheesecake which is delicious! Slightly more dense than the ones I’ve had in the Basque Country BUT still 10/10 and would get again for sure. Best baked cheesecake I’ve in Australia.
Their strawberry frasier cake is amazing, the strawberries are fresh and the cake is light and airy.
Online ordering was super straightforward and had no issues.
I had the strawberry shortcake for my daughter 4th birthday yesterday. Best cake in the world!
Best cakes I've ever had. Strawberry pie to die for. Shame they've taken it off the rotation. Tried the raspberry pistachio cake today. Simply amazing.
Fantastic Bakery in a great location, great to sit and chill while enjoying a snack. Staff are super friendly and most importantly they make delicious food!
Had always been loving their cakes before they had a shop many years back. We were so happy when they opened up the new shop, everything’s looks the same just pricey. The only disappointment was the sweetness level in the cakes are too much for us now. Had all the truffle goodies on the shelves, savories were great but not the desserts. Esp the brulee, Couldn’t taste any truffle and the sweetness was overpowering.
Absolutely divine basque cheesecake and strawberry shortcake. The shortcake was exactly like the type we had in Japan and the cheesecake is unlike any other cheesecake I've tried in Perth!
Finally made it to this artisan bakery, couldn't decide with the selection available. So I went for the Banoffee Pie & Peanut Crisp. Both delicious but preferred the Peanut one. Service impeccable as per the food
OMG! One of the staff brought Butter Crumb pies into the office. I like good quality pies but this.this was out of this world. The puff, the crispiness, the filling. I 'm thinking of moving the office closer to these guys!
I bought the choc peanut roll today and was very disappointed. The cakes look great and I wanted to support a new business in the hood but sadly it was quite tasteless. The chocolate cake should have been much richer and the cream was also quite bland. For the price I am reluctant to give this bakery another go.
The strawberry cake and fig tart were divine
I brought them for a friend's birthday and he loved them
It's a small-ish cafe. Not many variety of food/ dessert on offer. Inside of the shop was hotter than outside. It's rather stifling. I am assuming it's more of a take away shop as there's hardly anyone and this was during lunch hr.
There was no menu on drinks. I had to ask what's available for drinks. Chose ice chocolate but it tasted rather runny. Probably too much milk not enough cocoa. For dessert, I picked basque cheesecake slice. I had been wanting to try their basque cheesecake. It didn't disappoint. It was yum. It was not overly sweet which is good because you don't get that bleugh feeling after eating such a rich dessert. Price was slightly high but I am willing to try their other dessert/pies next time around.
Four stars for the pies:
Had the rendang and curry pies, it was delicious, generous filling, wished the crust itself was a bit more flaky. Wanted to try the trio mushroom as well but it was sold out (I came around 1140am)
Tried the choc peanut praline roll, unfortunately the cake roll was dry and even the cream couldn’t help to ease the dryness.
Would definitely come back for the pies.
BEST CAKES IN PERTH, the quality is insane and so damn delicious! So glad I saw them pop up on instagram! Must try!
They didn't have a wide selection when we went (early on a sunday). Not sure if it was too early or it was sold out? But the cake was nice
Incredible food. Their passion for detail and quality is second to none. I return whenever they add something new (often based on whatever fruit is in season) to the menu and always leave with a few of my old favourites too.
Their lemon meringue cake is my all time favourite and an absolute must try if you’re a lemon fan!
So lucky to have them in Perth!
I was left a little confused about the shop when I entered, I was expecting a full fledged bakery shop front. I’m still not extremely sure of how they are able to only open 4 days a week with such limited hours.
Everything we had was absolutely delicious. You can tell it has been made by a proper pastry chef. We loved every bit of it.
Biting into the pie, wow! The crust on the pie was light and flakey. The sweets were perfect. Great job to the chef and team.
I wish they had a little sitting inside with some super duper cool coffee and open a little longer. We will back.
Absolutely amazing matcha roll. Highly highly recommend it. Not overly sweet, soft roll which isn't dry and a very creamy core that has just the right matcha intensity. That was definitely the highlight. Highly recommended
Zie is an incredible Baker! So happy to see butter crumbs with a store front now as I have been supporting them for a while now and as much as I miss seeing them at the markets I'm very impressed with the storefront. Great quality cakes and Zie is the most lovely, friendly person. Can't recommend her enough!
Love their Truffle themed dessert products.anything truffle is hard to catch in perth.missed the truffle honey and oil after the season.will try next year.tried truffle brulee and cheese cake.absolutely stunning and the pieces are big. Matcha swiss roll looks scrumptious but haven't tried yet.the Asian background staff is very friendly.nice service nice food
I tried the Matcha Roll. Very fluffy nice biscuit dough, perfect 'sweetness' for me, as I try to eat no sugar. It tasted good, but for 8$ I missed an eye for detail - if it's only a little piece of strawberry fixed nicely with a dab on top of the roll or e.g. A mixed white-green texture of the buisciuit / cream to give a bit contrast in colours and make it nice for the customers eyes. In my opinion, regarding the Matcha Roll, there is room for improvement.
