Bungalow Neighbourhood Social reviews
21Such a quality venue, awesome food and drinks available, and a great vibe. This is a must stop for us when in the SW, never disappoints.
Excellent pizza, local selection of wine and interesting decor. Book if you can, still plenty of walk in space. Family and dog friendly.
Very inviting and friendly atmosphere! Unfortunately the gluten-free pizza with a rather thick and soggy base is not my taste. However, the topping was tasty. In the end, I find 30+AUD for one gf Pizza way too expensive.
Overall nice vibe but extortionately priced drinks. It's quite big with plenty of seating. There are even a few parking spots you can use if not drinking. Wouldn't come here regularly due to the price but the atmosphere was overall quite chilled out and the staff were great!
Awesome food and good drink list. Pizza was really good.probably best value for money around Margaret river - High quality food with mid-range price. We dined here with a 2YO and a 4YO so would say it may not be the best venue for family as it could get crowded and a bit loud on music depending on where you sit. Waitress are all friendly. Bartenders could use a bit more smile but understandable with loads of customers queueing up for drinks and food ordering - probably can benefit from an order at table system for food items.
Overall it should be ranked one of the best restaurant/pub near Dunsborough for dinner.
Had a beautiful dinner with my girls. Food was amazing and delicious and good service too! Really enjoy it.
Great place with amazing vibes.
Pizzas are epic - their gluten free (gf) pizza base is from another world.
My tummy takes me here every other week.
Thanks team!
Seriously good. I've tried many a prawn pizza across the globe. But this is the BEST prawn pizza I've ever had. Perfect balance of cheese, prawn, nduja. And an amazing base.
Great beers on tap showcasing the region. Plus excellent wine. All within a very cool mid century setting. A must visit when in town.
BEST IN THE WEST!
Do not bother going anywhere else, this place is top tier! The coldest beer you can think of, the best selection of food and Wine. Friendly staff and all around amazing atmosphere! This place is buzzing and is the perfect spot for lunch or dinner.
This leaves all other South-West venues in the dust!
The food is undercooked and overpriced, and by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had, I’d rather live in a third world country and die from starvation than dine at the Bungalow Neighbourhood Social again.
Great food and atmosphere. Staff members were friendly. Loved pizza and tiramisu but would skip tomato dish.
I think this is an underrated venue - we came late, and the kitchen was actually closed. But the staff opened the kitchen up just for us, and we were glad they did! The pizza and the chicken dishes were great - the chicken dish in particular is one of the best chicken dishes we’ve had. The chicken was cooked to perfection and complemented by the black barley and gravy sauce. The pizza had a delicate crust that was slightly sour, really giving the toppings the base they required. Beautiful venue with a dog friendly area outside. Pop by if you get the chance!
Great location and staff really friendly. But the menu is limited and very overpriced. $29 pizzas and $18 for Half a zucchini. Presentation on the $38 fish was not good. For bar food - that you order at the bar, no table service - it’s extremely over priced. I don’t think we’ll be eating here again unfortunately.
Visited twice, once was great on a Saturday night really enjoyed the wine room and the staff were very nice. The pizza was quite bland but fine, dessert was very nice. The second visit was disappointing, the $14 glass of wine I had tasted gone off and told the bar staff but the lady was rude and told me it wasn’t and wouldn’t pour me a new one so we left. Put me off returning unfortunately.
Booked a table for 5 over the phone asked for the high top near the pizza oven, it was confirmed this was available. Upon arriving noticed both high tops were occupied was then shown out table, which was not a high and squeezed in between a high and another regular table. The space was so tight only the person at the end could stand up. Have been there a number of times before and like the place. Ambiance is great and the pizza usually good. Need to be careful though, our little town will not be full of visitors when the borders open and annoying people you rely on during winter months is not a great plan.
Great place to walk to and have pizza and a beer or wine. Very handy location for where we were staying. Service was quick.
We visited here with my sister who is a coeliac and ordered two take away gluten free pizzas. When given the pizzas, I double checked that they were gluten free to be told that they are not and was questioned as to whether I ordered gluten free by two different staff members. I was then forced to pay for two more gluten free pizzas at a total cost of over $100. Pizzas also not labelled GF, and left guessing which is not good enough for a coeliac. Replacement pizzas should’ve been made. Very poor customer service. Would love to discuss this with the manager who could not be found at the time.
Great atmosphere, good drinks selection and excellent food. Spent Friday afternoon (9/7/21) with a few mates having a few quiet beers and some excellent pizzas sitting by the fire. All the staff were super helpful and friendly and there were no drunken yahoos. Great vibe that only adds to the stress free environment in Dunsborough and good for families. Well worth a look.
I don’t usually do reviews. But I thought I would share my experience when dining at Bungalow Neighbourhood Social.
When i arrived it wasn’t clear where to go and staff seemed less than interested to greet or direct me.
After sitting down the menu lead me to believe that I was dining in a high end Italian cuisine. Sadly, not the case.
I ordered the wagyu steak and my friends ordered porchetta with a side of croquettes.
The croquettes came first, were cold in the middle and hadn’t been cooked long enough. Disappointingly floury and unpalatable.
The porchetta arrived and the string that held the meat together was still wrapped up in the meat. The roasted potatoes were dry and over cooked, and others undercooked.
The wagyu steak arrived and was unfortunately too tough to cut with the butter knife I was given. I couldn’t eat the $38 steak because it was too chewy.
Not even the cocktails could redeem my experience unfortunately. We ordered two dark, hot and steamy’s.over priced, unusual flavours and far too much alcohol to handle.
All three of us weren’t expecting the ritz but we have never walked out of a restaurant after paying more than $120 on food and drink and not finished either…
We wouldn’t recommend going here.
Friendly staff, pizza was very nice especially the spicy sausage one. However you better it it quick cause when the base gets cold it's like razor blades in your mouth. The tap beer selection was very good. Wines on the menu were nothing special. Location was very 70's chic, loved the floating fireplace.
