Took my 10yr old daughter to ED.she was in a lot of pain, every staff member who saw us was equally gentle/sensative, as a team they persevered til they found the issue.

Fantastic - 5 Star service!

Recently went in to ED department as I have renal failure and was constantly sick for four days straight and wanted to be tested for whatever the issue might have been, first off we waited 3 hours in emergency and obviously I understand there are other patients as well but was not told anything on the wait and triage was extremely slow, when I finally was tended to we were taken through and the first doctor was good but then I was told nothing from then on we waited another three hours before a surgeon came to see me. As my mum was with me she queried the course of action they wanted to take as the first doctor said I may have mild pancreatitis, and in return the surgeon replied with a derogatory tone as if to say my mum didn’t know what she was talking about and she was agitated that she was being questioned. I felt as if I needed someone else’s opinion and that the course of action taken was not up to standard so I discharged myself and when I told the surgeon she continued talking to myself with a derogatory tone still and in an almost threatening manner told me “this is going on your report” as she knows I’m waiting on a kidney transplant. I feel this was a disgusting way to be treated in a place that you should feel safe where people like myself need people that care.

Fell off my horse at the Capel CCN and came in with an ankle I couldn’t weight bear on. They gave me an x ray at 2 angles said there was nothing on it but fragments from an old injury and sent me home with a sprains brochure.
I asked for a CT and ultrasound and they said they couldn’t approve it.
Long story short I got my CT and ultrasound by myself thru SKG in Perth and turns out my ankle is fractured and I have multiple ruptured ligaments and tendons.
Just wildly irresponsible and poor practice.

I was frightned and unwell and arrived in the ER.
The admin staff were helpful amd polite, the triage nurse knew her stuff and all the other nurses and Dr Tariq were outstanding in their care, patience and operations.

Thank you all so much.

4 hours in the fast track waiting area and still waiting to be seen. Absolutely pathetic. What is the point of the fast track when multiple people are been seen first and not waiting as long.

Took my daughter in in bad pain, 3 hour wait till we got seen, then waiting on treatment and scans until 2 am.
9 hours with two tired kids is unacceptable.
May as well been a 3 Rd world hospital, probably would have been faster to drive to Perth for treatment
