Bullara Station Stay reviews
75Closed for summer unfortunately. Opening april 1st 2024 according to their little road sign.
We stayed two nights with our motorhome and enjoyed it very much. Our only wish would be a nicer playground with a sun cover and we had the feeling the park is not so kids friendly. We saw a lot of kids but they did not know what to do in the park. Most of them
were sitting in the Woolshet watching iPad.
Hate to say it, reminded me of a camp ground with trees around it in a quarry! I was looking forward to staying here but have to say slightly disappointing. Lots of quirky bits & pieces which were very interesting & they have a lot of different options for a good feed which did seem a little expensive, but worth the experience? But I have to say very dusty & hot when we were there. So when the power keeps tripping out because too many people on same grid, that does nothing to impress me. You know about the problem but fail to warn anyone before they arrive. Fix the problem. For what you charge for a powered site, I would expect the power to be a little more reliable & to be relying on guests to advise you of power tripping seems ridiculous, especially as often as it occurred.
Amazing, one-of-a-kind Station Stay. Great service and very unique experience given the restaurant, bar and cafe!
Alternative stopover to Coral Bay/Exmouth although not really practical for the reef. Bell glamping tents very nice
We absolutely loved our 7 night stay here. We had a powered site with plenty of room. Friendliest staff, including the horses. Excellent food and station events. Indifferent sheep that seem to judge you. The 4WD to the Gulf is fantastic, especially when the tide is racing in. Great position to explore both Exmouth and Coral Bay. Loved our bush shower.divine
Awesome camping spot - great set up, friendly staff, great coffee (waking up at a campsite and being able to get a good coffee was lovely). Loved the showers and being able to meet the animals.
Spent 5 nights at bullara great spot to base yourself to explore the surrounding area. Acess to the gulf via the station track is an added bonus even caught a few fish in the tidal creek. The burger night and live entertainment was a highlight of our stay, friendly staff great food and novelty showers. Plenty of walking tracks close to the station and fire pits to borrow for the essential nightly camp fire. A unique place great for families well done bullara
One night is definitely not enough. We would stay longer for next visit. Great place and atmosphere. The damper tasting was fun.and beautiful sunset at the end of bear bottle trail. Cafe is brilliant, yummy scone and pies.
Great place to stay, awesome meal nights and entertainment, friendly staff and very helpful and so happy in their work nothing is to much trouble love the quirky things around the Homestead?
Accommodation in the Shearers Lodge was great, big room, aircon, fan, small TV, bar fridge, parking at door, there are outside toilets for guests of the Shearers Lodge but the bathrooms are for everybody's use, the kitchen, lounge and patio area for guests booked in the Shearers Lodge are well kitted out, and very clean,
The best little stop over, best meat, scones great home-made pies yummy. Great way to break the drive, and top up supplies.
Amazing outdoor shower! Fantastic burger night where they cooked 420! Tin can alley is the best walk!
Excellent station stay. Shady caravan sites and quirky ablutions. Great coffee at the wool shed cafe.
Very well run operation. Love the rustic showers and I must say possibly the best showers ever Great friendly staff, happy and real outback atmosphere. We booked for 4 days but ended up staying a week. The dinner nights book out very quickly do make sure you book for dinner well before you arrive, burger nights Friday are well worth it and great entertainment to go along with it. 88 km from Exmouth, but during the busy seasons it’s worth staying out of town and just doing a day trip in. There is also a dirt track not far from the station that will take you over to Ningaloo reef. Great little cafe serving possibly the best scones you will ever have. Also light snacks available. This is a working cattle station so you might be lucky enough to see a cattle drive. Great for kids with plenty of room to ride bikes and play.
Very impressed and will definitely return one day.
Great base for a holiday. The amenities are great but keeps a relaxed vibe. The site size is fantastic
Setting and accommodation true blue Australian - great friendly staff and dining experience in the old woodshed fabulous!
Morning flat whites/ coffee and homemade scones as good as you will get! Definitely a great stopover point!
It was nice and restful at Bullara Cattle Station, with a few nice walking trails where you can see flocks of cockatiels and budgies. The beer bottle walk is best done for sunset over the bright red sand dunes.
The damper around the communal fire was lovely too, and the woolshed cafe. The amenities were in the rustic country theme with the option for a shower from a metal bucket!
Stayed a this place recently for 2 nights. On arrival the beautiful jilly greeted us on her bike with all the info we needed, re dinner - walks, cafe scones, reef 800m up the road, she was very informative and we felt her warm welcome amazing
We ate at the restaurant for our 2 nights stay. The food was to die for. Perfectly cooked and Courtney the cook gave a speech before the meal about blessing the animal who will nurture our bodies and how passionate they are as a station to nurture their animals in a very humane way. We both found the speech very humbling indeed. Jenny who served our drinks each night was a breath of fresh air, what lovely people not forgetting Maria who gave a helping hand throughout the meal. On leaving we met the lovely Dean, station hand and (in his words) the reason why the welcoming jilly (on her bike) was so bubbly. Overall a great stay. We have stayed in many stations on our travels, but this one supersedes all of them. We will be back. Nicola and Steve
We stayed in our caravan on an unpowered site. It is a great spot. Everything kept to a high standard while retaining the outback feeling.
