Budget Car & Truck Rental Fremantle

After I paid the $220 deposit, I canceled the order within 5 minutes, but the front desk said it would take 3-5 days before the deposit could be refunded. I don’t quite understand that they deduct money very quickly but refund very slowly. Can’t they refund the money immediately when canceling the order? The bank has not completed the transaction process at this time. Four days have passed and as of today I have not received a refund.

This place was a hive of activity when I visited but vehicle pick up and drop off went smoothly. The car was fine and did the job.

The whole process from booking to returning the vehicle to Budget was made simple & efficient. The vehicle itself was modern, clean & mechanically sound so this made the situation much less stressful than I had imagined whilst my own vehicle was being repaired.

Overall:

I hired a 1 tonne vehicle. Late decision so I was impressed with the availability at such short notice. Wait time on the phone was a bit tedious but the young lady was very helpful. Easy pick-up and return. Vehicle was easy to drive.
Have hired in the past and will continue to do so - South Fremantle branch.

Happy with the service provided. They transported me to and from the panel beaters workshop. The car provided was a bit smaller than what I was hoping and the touch screen didn’t work properly and kept flicking between pages as if someone was randomly selecting each of the options across the top. It meant I couldn’t use navigation or Apple CarPlay.

Really friendly crew, and the van was great!

Remember to take a physical card or at least the numbers as Budget still uses old fashioned non-integrated EFTPOS so can't take a pre-auth.

The car's exterior was still dirty, the interior windows where dirty had to wipe with a shirt. The stunk of cigarette sell and the back tailgate wouldn't open with the remote and there was broken glass rattling in the tailgate as well

Trying to get through by phone and it just hangs up.

Car was given without any windscreen cleaner causing visibility issues

Update: spoke to the floor guys who say it is a policy to not use window cleaner in the car reservoir

My vehicle which was stationary on the side of the road was side wiped by a driver hiring a budget truck from this company
I was not at fault with significant damage to the side of my vehicle making it unroadworthy
I went to Budget south freo asking for a form to complete to get my car repaired.
Filled out form and sent it in and still waiting for them to provide a claim number so I can have my car repaired.

Now going through AFCA since the repairs will be under 10 K to force Budgets insurance company to sort this out

I would not hire from Budget as a result of this experience. The staff have been very slow to respond and sort this out.

Dont reccommend at all

The premises are easy to access and are incredibly clean. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful, and the car was clean and very comfortable to drive. I highly recommend them.

Hi, the vehicle, a little MG was great. One thing that I was a bit surprised at was when I drove off in the vehicle from Budget was that the fuel gauge was one bar down. I rang Budget South Fremantle and the girl said that the car was full but it was a fault with the gauge, however when I fuelled the car to return the vehicle the gauge went right to the top. I mentioned This to the girl and she indicated that they would issue a credit if there was a discrepancy

Wonderful customer service but the car i received was far to low my getting n & out very uncomfortable so I won't be going anywhere n a hurry.plus couldn't change for another car.

I know it’s the holiday period and you’re quite busy but I received poor service.

1st I hire a sedan or similar car but I received a hatchback.

2nd there was no spot check on the car for existing damage or fuel load (Fuel was 3 quarters full)

3rd I drop off the car before it was due, but no one has informed that they are close for the day.
There was no instructions where to park the car in case of overflow. The car park was full and I have to leave the car in the foot path.

Busy and hectic. Shown to vehicle but was given no instructions or information about the controls. The assistant had indifference down to an art form

Very pleasant experience I look forward to renting from you again.
