Broome Town Beach reviews
53 Great place with public bathrooms, bbqs and showers.
The matkets when is fullmoon are amazing
Wonderful area, bit sad about the tragedy of 1942. Mud flats off shore, make sure you ware water shoes.
Quite nice, busy, a nice small park, and sailor's cemetery, quite large kids playground and quite a few benches in the shade. The beach is alright, clean but pretty small maybe 150m, with quite nice mangroves at the edge, a huge amount of security cameras make you feel like there is one right behind you all over the place.
Nice place to go and see the moon rise it was a nice change from all the beautiful sunsets on the north west coast.
Great playground near the market grounds and town beach jetty.
Pros
- New nature based playground
- Swings, slides, rope ladders
Bike riding track throughout the playground
- toilets 100m from playground
- BBQ facilities also nearby
- Playground partially shaded
- Water playground 100m from playground
Cons
- No gate / fence surrounding park. - Close proximity to steep decline to town beach
- Not much to do for kids 0 - 2 years
- Sand (needle risk etc)
Pretty spot for viewing Staircase to the Moon and the night markets. Council have spent lots of money to beautify the area and the jetty is a great spot for fishing as well.
Great night markets to celebrate the Staircase to the moon. Great craft stalls and plenty of food and drinks available.
Wonderful view from the jetty, massive playground that kept the kids entertained and space to have a sit down with alot of shade too.
The history of Broome here was very interesting and brought to life with the Nine Lives, Nine Zeros artwork personalising the bombing of Darwin. There are also signs telling people not to clean their fish because of crocodiles but that didn’t seem to deter some people!
Visiting Broome, stairway to the moon, beautiful park, great markets and fishing or go for a dip.
Beautiful spot for a picnic on the beach or on the grass under some shade. Great facilities and awesome view of roebuck bay
It was awesome. Great play ground, great water park, great views, a coffee van, heaps of car parks, beautiful.
City beach logo is here with beautiful view and park. Walking distance from Chinatown and city center
Lovely precinct, great playground for the kids, bbq's and shaded seating, well kept gardens and grassed areas, popular place for early morning exercise and dog walking. Excellent spot to watch the Staircase to the Moon.
Kids loved the park, alot of shade however the basketball courts had a lot of broken glass and could do with a clean. The water park was the best and the kids aged for hours.
Such a beautiful area, I don't have small children but what a wonderful playground area and so so green.

It's a very pleasant area to walk along and explore the jetty and historical sites. There are nice picnic areas, playground, water park and cafe too. It's close to the museum as well. There is plenty of free parking.
Great playground for children. Markets often held here. Lovely spot to watch staircase to the moon.
