Broome Adventure Company - Turtle Kayak

Partner and I did the turtle paddle in August 2022. We were allocated one of the two biggest heaviest kayaks unsuitable for our lighter weights. They wanted to give it to someone because it had been unloaded from the one trailer. However, after return, I noted there were smaller lighter kayaks on the second trailer. Just a bit more effort would have been needed to match kayaks to paddlers. So it was a struggle to paddle the big kayak in the wind and waves, despite I am an experienced and trained sea kayaker. We did not see any marine life. They tried to make it interesting but more than just us were keen to finish.

Though super nervous at first, I ended up having the most amazing time on this tour!

We spotted a variety of sea turtles and dolphins.

Highly recommend if you're heading up to Broome.

I was apprehensive at first as it was my travel buddy’s idea to do this activity however it turned out to be an amazing experience! Although we were running late Andrew and Kat were amazing at making us feel welcome and safe. I am not one for deep ocean or water but every step of the way Andrew or Kat would come over to make sure we felt comfortable and got to know you a little bit more. The facts and history of Andrew along the way about the bays the water the turtles the rocks and Broome in general added even more value and a dimension I didn’t expect to get from this tour. We we’re lucky enough to see a turtle however if we didn’t I would have been pretty chuffed at the kayak tour only. Would highly recommend to others and do it again if I return to Broome.

Richard was friendly and enthusiastic, however this tour was pricey compared to other tours, considering we just kayaked around the beach for 2 hours. Unfortunately no sealife spotted.

I and my partner really enjoyed the kayaking, and the guide was also friendly and informative, he pick up and drop off us at where we lived on time.

While kayaking for a while, they also let us stay near by the beach, took some pictures and prepared some snacks for us,
really kindly and knowledgeable, highly recommended.

Although we only saw one of sea turtle, it was amazing experience for us.

My partner and I had a wonderful paddle with these guys this morning. They picked us up and dropped us off on time. The paddle was at a nice and relaxed pace. We saw so many turtles, birds of prey and schools of fish. The guides, Richard and Kaine were funny and informative. Great morning and highly recommend.

Awesome tour. We were a group of 6 including two kids. We all thoroughly enjoyed the kayaking and seeing the turtles. Tour operators very friendly and accommodating.

Although these guys are enthusiastic and passionate about their "jobs" you will find by simply hiring your own kayak for a hour or less you will save yourself both money, time and the earache of taking this tour. At prices of $100 plus your taste buds will savour the exquisite meals provided of packet chips and warm water. To save your money, simply paddle along Gantheaume beach towards the point and you may see sea turtles, dolphins, sea snakes and other marine life and not have to deal with the unneeded salesmanship and bad jokes.

We all had an amazing experience, guides were fantastic and equipment was well maintained and comfortable. The views were priceless

Guides were extremely knowledgeable on the area and all the little secrets we got to see. Clean, safe, fun and one of the best ways to see Broome!

Tour was well organised and Richard and Craig ran a awsome opportunity to see the coast from a locals eyes as well as a keen eye for wild life identifying different birds and sea species. We did see a couple of turtles they were surprisingly quick moving for something thought to be slow. Definitely a tour worth going on and a couple of bloody legions to do it with.

One of the best ways to see and soak in the sinking coastline. Kayaking was slow paced for every fitness level to keep up and enjoy

I have been go for many of yrs from Broome. Coming back to see all the new developments and new ideas injected into the growth of this town of Broome.

I did the sunset Kayak tour. This was brilliant. The few days before the Kayak the wind was quite high and the company had had to cancel some tours due to this, thankfully I was able to rebook one and it was perfect weather for it! Kat and Richard was lovely and full of knowledge. They catered to all Kayaking abilities. This tour we saw some Sea Turtles and Dugongs! We also stopped and had snacks that were provided on a little secret beach that is only there when the tides are down. The sunset was amazing viewing from the water. Highly recommend. Would do this again!

We did the turtle kayaking tour with Richard and it was so much fun. Richard picked us up from our accommodation and we meet some others in our tour at Gantheum Point. Richard was very friendly and very knowledgeable. We didn't need to be elite kayakers to enjoy this tour. It was relaxing, entertaining, beautiful morning on the water. We actually even saw (from a distance) quite a number of whales breaching and whale water spouts). It was beautiful. Unfortunately we didn't see any turtles this time (one can not control mother Nature), but, it actually didn't bother us. We had an amazing time Kayaking around Gantheum Point into Roebuck bay. The rocks there are amazing. We had a short stop on the rocks and a swim, and where Richard provided some snacks so we could refuel and go again.
It was a Beautiful way to start our day and we thoroughly enjoyed the turtle kayaking tour and our tour guide Richard. I would recommend you give this one a go
