We've eaten so many meals at this pub, and the quality of the food has been consistently great. It is very popular so service times can sometimes be slow, but that has never stopped us coming back.
Highly recommend if you're looking for a meal in Bridgetown!

Blues at Bridgetown was a great way to spend 3 days visiting a beautiful place with idyllic surrounds, cool music with a fun crowd.

Visited Bridgetown for a feed.
Stopped in here. Lovely old pub.
Nice enclosed setting out the back.
Had the beef burger. Pretty tasty.
Friend had the steak sandwich. Not award winning as they claim but good.

We had family dinner there on Saturday night and the food was to die for.
The beef cheeks in Guinness were superb, the steak was a perfect medium rare and the service was fantastic.

You wouldn't think The Bridgetown Hotel would be a gastro-pub trendsetter, but it seems they have pioneered a breakthrough in dining customer service. It's called the "Have exactly what's on the menu with zero changes, and if you don't like it then too bad" model.

Visiting for a Sunday lunch in June, I perused the menu and decided the Hambuger was really the only offering on it I wanted. There was just one problem - it came adorned with something called 'Honey Mustard Mayo'. Three words which, in my opinion, put together in that order, have no place on a burger served in a country pub or anywhere else. So I set upon a plan to order the otherwise delicious sounding hamburger 'sans' special sauce.

Sadly, upon ordering said burger, we were sternly informed by the serving staffmember, tapping the sign on the counter in a manner reminiscent of a certain sitcom Soup purveyor, that there were to be no menu changes, not even one that involved simply <not> adding something. You see, apparently, the kitchen staff don't do special requests.

The Hamburger, by the way, was on the menu for $26. I can't say what it was like.because I didn't feel like giving 26 of my hard earned dollarbucks to an establishment which has such little respect for its customers that it chooses not to accomodate a simple request like refraining from adding sauce to a hamburger.

A Michelin starred restaurant this ain't, so if you're going to charge that sort of coin for some grilled mince between two pieces of bread with some frozen chips on the side, at least train your staff to accomodate simple customer requests. And lose the honey mustard mayo.ps. I've given them 2 stars, because my family, who were hungry and therefore not prepared to join me in my boycott, seemed to enjoy their meals, which looked pretty much like reasonably executed standard pub fare. Plus the beer I had in lieu of a meal was pretty good.

This is what is classed as a fresh made medium vegetable pizza. What a joke. And no I don't have big hands.

Quick pub grub meal on a long weekend passing through. No airs or graces. Steak sandwich was pretty damn good though.

Why have tables and chairs set up outside the front of a pub if you are not allowed to drink at them? We were passing with our dogs and sat at one of the outside tables while the other went in to order drinks. After ordering and paying, we were told no alcohol is allowed outside.
Beware dog parents, don't waste your money here.and the staff couldn't care less.

Really poor experience dining at the Bridgetown hotel tonight. Found the staff quite rude and generally un interested along with the food being poor. When we ordered, I asked for no tomato on my son’s burger and was promptly told there are no alterations to the menu.
When I ordered drinks at the bar I had to wait about 3 mins while the gentleman behind the bar was showing photos on his phone to another patron who was clearly a friend.
When the waitress cleared our plates she asked how the meals were and when we said average, she said “oh yes I would never order a burger here”. This for a burger advertised as award winning.

Overall a very poor experience.

Busy local pub, lovely brick interior and outside headed area. Dinner exceeded our expectations and it was honestly the best Asian chicken salad I have eaten out. Homemade cakes were also delicious and we will definitely be returning again! Highly recommend!

Great pub
Good food very busy
Loved the overnighter
Great little bottle shop full if hidden gems
P. S cafes only operate 9 to 2 pm
Obviously they all make too much money to be open during tourists season. Bit if a shame.
But the pub is great try it

Nice enough pub and food. Barman comes across a bit detachedgrumpy.needs some "smiling classes".

Ordered the only decent looking vego option, mushroom pizza. No one mentioned there were no mushrooms. $22 for an empty pizza that took an hour to make.

Admittedly the decor is a touch dated and the service was slammed with a busy night.
But consider that you're in a country town, on a road that's used as a thoroughfare south and it was a Friday.
The food was good quality. Steak done just right, a variety of veg on the plate and a great garlic sauce. Plus, they have a decent range of beers on tap.
If you're in town for lunch or the night, you can do a hell of a lot worse. Recommended.

Lunch time fish and chips. Fish not cooked and returned. Yesterday young lady friendly and cheerful. Today both female and male staff member miserable and unfriendly. If they dislike their job that much maybe they should look for something else.

Hands down the worst hotel I have ever stayed in with the photos to prove it. Welcomed by the most rudest receptionist who told us to pack up the room and go somewhere else when we complained about black mould in the bathroom which was disgusting and plain unhygienic. Wouldn’t recommend anyone stay place should be shut down in my honest opinion.

Most terrible service I have ever had in the south west. Go here if you want to be terribly disappointed. Particularly if you’re served by a surly, unhelpful and disrespectful staff member who has no place in hospitality. Didn’t catch her name, but wears glasses and has a wrist tattoo. She spoke incredibly poorly to me and my friend when we made a small complaint about our meal. There are better places to eat and drink in this otherwise lovely town. Hopefully this place does themselves a favour and loses the dead weight.

Staff and management do not possess any people skills. Sat at dark and dingy table with no light. Ordered pork belly but was informed they'd run out so settled for chicken parmigiana which was burnt, chips were undercooked and the only good thing about the salad was the cucumber. Very disappointing experience and would not recommend.
