Braidz n Beauty

I went to Braidz n Beauty for 2 cornrows and have natural coily hair. The ladies at the shop told me 5 times, that I needed to put a "softener" in my hair, like she had in hers, to make my hair more "manageable". The ladies booked an appointment before mine that went over an hour longer than expected. During this time the ladies asked me to detangle my hair further (it was already detangled, my hair is just naturally very curly) and when it was my turn ripped a lot of my hair out. I was under the false presumption that they were capable of managing natural hair, however this is absolutely not the case. Please find elsewhere for natural hair styling.

Betty is lovely and the result was great although I will warn painful, but it would be great if they added some atmosphere. Maybe some music as a 4hr session in an uninspiring room, nothing to look at, nothing to read, spending $$ and not even an offer of a drink.

The team lead by Betty is so professional. They are so accommodating and I have always left with exactly what I asked for. Braids, wig, weave or even just a simple Retouch, wash and dry- it's always done properly and beautifully
They also do Caucasian hair which is great

Absolutely pleasure getting hair work done here. I’ve been here before but this was the first time meeting betty but the love and care was as excellent as the other girls. They have such a loving nature that it makes the whole experience calm and relaxing. She just finished braiding a customer’s full head, didnt even take a break and ask me to sit down. I’ve gotten braids somewhere else before and when they got tired, they’ll lose a little patience and can get rough which makes sense, Not with betty, it’s almost like she can stand 24/7 and still be as gentle as ever. Oh my gaa and when she finished braiding, it looked exactly as expected I showed betty a photo and she did exactly the same thing. Going home I felt like I wanted the front to have the braids done a little closer to fill the gaps so I went back the next day to make another appointment. Betty just opened the shop and said there’s someone coming in a hour or so and she has time and got it done straightaway. The work ethic is unreal

Ok so I'm only talking about my experience for box braid (4c hair).
No good enough. I showed a photo of what I wanted (easy one, short braids) they told me they can do but actually the result was just terrible. Trust me Save your time, money and found somewhere else to do your box braids.

Worst experience ever. Brands themselves as an African braiding store but they don't fully cater for natural hair. They refused to wash my hair simply because it is "natural" i.e doesn't have chemicals. Disgraceful. Appalling. DO NOT SUPPORT!

Honestly guys this is the best place You could possible go for any sourt of Braidz The girls are absolutely lovely and so make u feel so welcome and and at home Iv have been coming here for 2 years on and off myself and never ever had a problem such a good job and price can’t wrong!

I have been coming to Braidz and Beauty since 2008 when we moved here from London.
Betty and her staff accomodate their clients needs. Iyaro and staff are very respectful and kind to me. That’s why I keep coming back all these years.

The place is easy to find, there is plenty of parking spaces around. Although the only entrance is through stairs, so no Wheel chair access. The staff are friendly and provide a great atmosphere.

The light skinned Ethiopian lady needs to tighten when she braids goodness me i could not believe my hair came out in 2 days YES 2 days never going back their

Okay so, these beautiful ladies did an incredible job! I showed them a reference image of my queen Amandla’s braids and they really went above and beyond making it everything I wanted and more. I am ecstatic with the outcome and will definitely be coming back. Honestly I cannot thank you enough. If anyone is thinking about going to Braids n Beauty we’ll stop thinking and just go because they will not let you down. 10/10 would recommend. AHHHH I JUST LOVE MY HAIR NOW!
