Dr. Petterson is by far the best doctor I have ever had. Very high levels of care and compassion. I can highly recommend this friendly and welcoming practice, where you receive much better care than the large corporately owned clinics.

Have had no hesitation in referring my male friends to this practice which is welcoming and professional.

Ok family practice is close to home and convenient but some staff are rude and lack a duty of care for their patients. My wife had a booking with Dr Merideth Arcus and bought our 2 children of good health. Her words were abrasive and vodwrline rude. She said I don't see children are they yours all kids have covid don't bring them near me put them further away. Dr Karen Pitman is amazing and Dr Jessica is fantastic both are polite and calm and helpful and empathetic.

I have been attending Bournemouth Medical Centre for several years for myself and for my two children. I mainly see Karen Pitman but have seen almost all the other doctors as well. I've found the service caring, time spent to sort the problem out properly, always making a time for the children on the day when needed. Also vaccinations etc with the nurse all done well and comfortably. Much higher level of care than your corporate-owned practices. Happy to keep attending!

On 08/02/22 my wife attended Bournemouth Medical Centre with my 11 moth old son who had an appointment to see the doctor. Upon walking up to the main entrance my wife was greeted with a sign that said for people who had not been double dose Covid-19 vaccinated to not enter, call reception and wait in their car. My wife had not parked in the car park so she was forced to stand in the carpark, in a car bay, in the heat with our son. There was no seating, shade or water provided. Two women exited the practice and proceeded to smoke cigarettes in the carpark in the vicinity of my son and wife.
There was no information on the Bournemouth Medical Centre's website nor conveyed via the confirmation text outlining these conditions of entry.

When we tried to book our son in for his 12 month old standard vaccinations we were told that my unvaccinated wife was not allowed to attend with my son and that someone that was double vaccinated had to bring him, this is not an option for our situation. We promptly made arrangements to an alternative medical practice that did not discriminate and was more than welcoming.

Bournemouth Medical is a disgrace and I wish I could give a zero star rating.

Have found another practice where I am no longer having medications thrown at me, and often the same thing which had not worked. Feeling much happier and healthier.

I Will Starr this review by explaining that I had no intention of posting a public review and would have preferred to have this matter dealt privately through the Practice Manager but after emailing her 2 weeks ago and 4 phone calls resulting in her not able to speak to me I will address my concerns on this public forum. 1. Phone call from Practice to say I did not have breast cancer 2. Phone call from Dr to say whoops they had not got all the results 3 Phone call from receptionist to say they were cancelling my appt that day despite having all the results I then called back the same day to be told I did have Cancer and to see another GP in the same practice who was not my usual Dr the following day Saw this GP the next day who despite having important results in front of him did not read them properly resulting in the delay of an important procedure Sadly there were two other poor medical desciions that had serious consequences but I have spoken enough.

So impressed with Dr Jessica Oldham. Not one of those doctors that gets you in and out in two minutes, she takes the time to really find out what is going on and goes above and beyond your expectations following up.

Have seen a number of the doctors at this practice and they've always been fantastic. Reception staff are also helpful, and the onsite pathology service is convenient.

Even though now it is a little out of my way I still go. It has a smaller family feel than the newer centres and Dr Paddy is great

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing and frustrating experience at Bournemouth Medical Centre early this morning. After arriving at the scheduled time I waited for 25 minutes before spending 3 minutes in total with Dr Howard Yap receiving a vaccination. For this privildege, in addition to the cost of the vaccination, I paid $65 (for 3 minutes) (receiving only $36 back as a Medicare rebate). Apart from the cost, the most frustrating thing was there was absolutely no word of explanation for the 25 minutes of my time that was wasted on waiting (so I think we can assume there wasn't an emergency that morning) and absolutely no word of apology. Apparently us patients are so used to poor service by so many doctors that these doctors don't even feel any need to apologise or explain why they are wasting their patient's time.

Took my boy to see Dr Howard Yip today. He is caring, understanding and knowledgeable. Great professional service. Thank you again Dr Yip.

I go to Dr Paddy at Bournemouth and my family have been for years. He's really nice and is very practical about what he recommends and prescribes. The guys at the counter are super friendly and really efficient.

While I was away I had some outstanding service from the team at Bournemouth Medical Centre. To help fax and follow up on my script to a chemist in Melbourne before I boarded a plane to Tassie was outstanding. The follow up when I returned was just so nice to get service we are all looking for. They always get me in for appointments and have a lot of good doctors.
