Bottlemart Express - Harvey Hotel reviews
11Always been a good place to visit have a beer or two. Very friendly, excellent food i just love the place.
Lovely old building from outside went there for a beer around lunchtime and was told didnt open till 1pm which i found strange
Our first time at this establishment. We really enjoyed a great, generous traditional pub meal. The service was excellent. The local vibe was on point and for our first night in Harvey we were really impressed. The building looks historically awesome and fits exactly what it is meant to genre wise. Would definitely return. Meals were super generous and well priced.
Yum! Complimentary cheese and bacon scroll that beats bakers delight by a mile. The Diane sauce is Absouletly delicious and the orange
sauce on the chicken was a great surprise best pub meal in ages
Staff were lovely and the drinks were cold. We had the steak sandwich and the steak itself was thick and juicy but the overall was quite bland.
Menu is small but it's a quiet country pub so it's to be expected.
Would go here again but probably wouldn't order food.
I have to say this dining experience was very disappointing. We ordered from the bar and the young chap very pleasant. We took a bottle of wine which finished before the food came out. It took over an hour and a half to see the food on the table. We were a party of four and we all ordered the same steak with garlic prawns. The steak arrived on a cold plate and was overcooked. Very unappertising. I don't think we will be coming back.
They are letting the Harvey community down by not running it properly. Lovely pub right in the middle of town within walking distance of most houses in the town with nice bar and beer garden but they don’t care about the pub side of things. They are notorious for closing early like 7 to 730 even on Friday nights and don’t open the front bar and beer garden and will call last drinks at 730 on a Friday night even if the place is packed. Cathy is sour and grumpy. They should just sell it and let someone else run it and turn it into the fantastic pub and a hive of activity like it should be.
Absolutely OVERPRICED!
1 stubby of 150 lashes $11.50each in the bar, but could buy 6 take aways from their bottle shop for $20.1 small bottle of coke in the bar was $6.50. Disgusting how much of a rip-off
Incredibly disappointing!
Arrived early evening on a Sat night as family of four after a long day at 2015 Harvey Open Swim Meet run by the local swim club to find that the pub is supposedly fully booked out despite all tables (except one table for 2) being empty!
Harvey is not a big town and I would think EVERY business would scramble to secure every tourist dollar they possibly could.especially when there's an event on in town!
I've never EVER come across a country pub that so totally abandons country hospitality!
Dont the owners know how to turn over a table more than once during a single service period? Eg.we have other guests coming in shortly for dinner, happy to help you out but you gotta leave by whatever time.
All I will say is that the Harvey Hotel lost out on $150 worth of food and drinks that another local business was only too happy to obtain!
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE HARVEY HOTEL TO OTHERS and from a personal perspective.my family & I will never set food inside the door ever again!
I would describe my experience as extremely disappointing.
Tried to book the dining area for dinner for a group of 30 before a wedding on a FRIDAY night and was told that all our orders had to be in by 7.20pm as that is when the kitchen shuts, when asked if they could make an exception for a large group of people, I was told that they could probably keep it open until 7.30. Zero effort was made to accommodate us despite making the booking months in advance.
The management/staff here are clearly not interested in new business (or any business for that matter).
I love going to the pub for a meal. Always big and tasty, Cath is fantastic. There isn't a huge amount of space for large events however plenty for smaller parties etc.
