Visited in December 2021. Posting this now as a reminder to never come back here again.

No insulation inside the house. No seals on most windows and doors. When we opened the fridge for the first time there was a colony of flies inside, not to mention everywhere inside the house.
When temperatures reached high 20's, let alone the 40°C weather we experienced, there was no way to remove heat. We had to place buckets of water in front of standing fans while our dog suffered and dehydrated.
As there was no way for air to move inside the house, the rooms would regularly be 28-30°C at night. Even the floorboards were hot walking barefoot on them. Hot water only lasted 2 minutes on the first night and never worked again.
House furnishings was completely subpar. Everything could have been purchased at an op-shop for nothing. Mismatching utensils, different beds in every room, different pillows everywhere, couches and seating. Also the the floor was not wood. It was a plastic laminate that had bubbles everywhere and was peeling on places.
Car shelter was rotting wood that was so severely deteriorated that it was held up by a single centre post that moved in the wind. Insurance would definitely not appreciate that.
There also happened to be a public campsite just 200m away from where we stayed. About 15-20 tents there (which we could hear the whole time), so this place is very much NOT private and secluded.
As for other activities, every pamphlet inside was out of date, oh well. There was a lake about 1km walk from the place, nothing else. Lake appeared to have an abandoned caravan that some squatter used to live in. Nature walk was probably the best part, being as far away from the farmstay as possible. FYI, no phone service, no internet.

AirBnb would only refund part of the money we paid for this experience. Not impressed, stay away.

Lovely spot of the state. Very quiet and peaceful. Close enough to town, but far enough away for complete quietness. The pot belly in the lounge room was amazing. The two young grandchildren loved feeding the animals, driving the tractor with Barry and collecting freshly laid eggs.
Very disappointed in the facilities: tepid (at best) hot water that literally trickled out of the shower rose. We did however receive a $20 discount when we mentioned this to Barry. We had to wash all the crockery/cutlery/pots before we could use them as they were greasy and some of the forks still had crusty (what looked like) egg yolks stuck on them. Got the frypan out on our last morning and it still had the leftovers stuck on the pot from previous guests. Went to use the tray in the grill - yep still full of dried breadcrumbs. Whilst I understand the farm is organic, some stringer cleaning products are required as guests should not have to put up with mould in the shower and the general dirtiness of the cottage. Extra adults are charged at $20 per night. With this amount of money, the least I would have expected would be for them all to have had an electric blanket on their bed. Two of us did, but the third did not.
I have no idea how this place made it into the top 10 recommended (no 8 on the list) farmstays by RAC - but this something I will take up with RAC as a separate exercise. There is absolutely no way anyone from RAC could have stayed at this place and ranked them 8th out of the top 10.
Don't mean to sound negative as Barry is very friendly, but this farmstay leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to a couple of basic requirements, hot water and cleanliness.

Boronia Farm is so beautiful and quiet. Highly recommended for a peaceful break, the view of the star field is astonishing.

The chalet can easily accomodate 4 adults and 3 to 4 kids and has dishes and cutlery etc

You get fresh eggs and fruit as a welcome

Its truly a farmstay.to windown and do nothing or then do some fruitpicking. The dam closeby is a bonus for some canoeing.plenty of fruit farms around donnybrook
