Blue Wren Cafe reviews
62Drove down from Perth only to find the place closed. Web site says open and closes at 3pm. Absolutely pathetic that cannot even updated a web site. Such a waste of time. Spoke to a few groups of bikers and they will not be back. That includes our group. We will try other local places that were open. Lady in the Dwellingup General store was really helpful. Vagonies just out of town was amazing. Definitely the place to go from now on.
Why do you say you are open when clearly yor not, we have just driven from perth having looked at your page &you are closed.
Food was really nice. Good size portions. Food came out quickly. Coffee was nice as well (properly hot & not just like warm)
Stopped in for lunch on Sunday 20/8/23 while out for a ride with a mate.
We both had the Steak Sandwich which was delicious and didn't take long to arrive at the table. We both had a coffee also that arrived as we finished the sandwiches. Staff were friendly.
The place is nice. Opens up to the street so we could see all the riders go past. We will definitely come again.
Dined in, it's OK. Prices are up there for what you are served in my view, however there are limited options midweek for dining in Winter midweek other Cafes closed.
The food was so good. And a great size for the price. Loved every bit of my experience there. Will definitely be back.
You can bet I judge cafes accordingly, and I show no mercy, but oh wow. This cafe is the bomb. From the staff, to the food, to the time it took to come out, everything was a 5 star. I am so so pleased to have found this little joint. The salmon was DEVINE. Best $28 on a meal I have EVER spent. My 8 year old daughter who is a fussy eater asked to try my salmon and she loved it, and proceeded to eat half of it. That's a huge deal. Thankyou guys.
Coffee was expensive, not great, but worst of all only served in disposable cups with total disregard to the environment.
Lovely cafe, food was lovely and price spot on. Such a friendly cafe. Have been quite a bit and never disappointed.
The sausage rolls are one of the best I've ever had! We always make sure to grab one every time we go through dwellingup? ️
Horribly rude older staff lady at the front. I asked for an iced almond milk latte, and she looks at me and says "I'm gonna charge you $2 extra for that", I said "What? The sign there says it's 80c extra. " She then proceeded to tell me that she "has to use the whole carton of almond milk for 1 iced latte which costs her $5 a carton". I tried to explain that an ice latte has about 50% ice in the cup so she's not actually using anywhere near that amount of almond milk that she's claiming, but I was met with "So do ya want or not? ! ". I walked out. Absolutely revolting service.
Great food and very friendly wait staff. We haven't been there for a couple of years but service and food is still exceptional. Thank you and keep up the good service.
Haven't visited here for quite a few years, the food looks great, but the coffee could be better described as warm milk. No coffee flavour at all. Such a shame as the atmosphere there is nice and cosy, especially on a cold wet day like yesterday.
I ordered poached eggs on toast with mushrooms for $19 and it was so disappointing. The toast was two slices of cheap supermarket bread, the eggs were cold and the two large mushrooms were tasteless and chewy. My husband had the muesli which looked and tasted lovely. I’ve had some great meals from your cafe but you need to lift your game with the cooked breakfasts.
We ordered 5 meals and was happy with all but 1.the steak turkish roll. The meat was too chewy. Other than that, we were satisfied with the atmosphere and service.
Fish and chips was a KING snapper fillet. Generous portions of fish which was super fresh. Batter was perfect and well seasons. The veg was super fresh too. They also allowed us to bring in beers to go with the awesome fish and chips. Thanks so much!
A really nice and chill small town cafe. The specials are amazing they had buffalo chicken wings which were so good and had a really great salad. Perfect place to stop in and out when travelling in the area of Dwellingup
Wonderful cafe with a lovely ambience and friendly, welcoming staff. Then there’s the food. Wow. Such fresh produce, cooked to perfection and promptly. Had the Keto Breaky and can highly recommend.
Service was fast, staff were friendly and the coffee was hot which was just what was needed after a ride through the hills.
Rude staff, not very helpful and dirty cups, not impressed with the food presentation either, Will not be back
