Blue Bay Fish & Chips

The service is great! The first order was over cooked and slightly burnt but I called through and the manager offered to recook the whole order when ever we liked. We ordered just before closing a week or so later and again the service was Amazing! But unfortunately the food was the same.slightly burnt and soggy chips.
I would try again just because the service was so good but the food is nice this time.

Advised that there was new owners and that the menu had changed so there was no comparison deal to the “meal for two”. So we ordered a deal with 4 pieces of fish instead. Lucky we did as the fish were small portions.

Oil needed to be changed and was quite oily and soggy.

Okay, Blue bay Fish n Chips…. IMMACULATE! In every way shape and form. Been going her for just around a month now and WOW! It has impressed me. The fish is always cooked to perfection and deliciousnis every single time I come here! The chips are extremely amazing aswell! Sometimes a bit over fried but hey! It’s alright! The staff here are so lovely and kind and get your order ready in under 10 minutes. I love it here, the staff make me feel so welcome and the food is delicious!

Superb boss that recommended Hake fish to us and boy was it a big portion!
Service is excellent, they are polite and patient in explaining which type of fish is nice. Really good value for money for the quality of fish and chips they serve! Will definitely visit them again very soon!

First time we had tried it cost $36 for 2 serves of snapper $4.00 worth of chips & 2 crab sticks, the fish batter was soggy & the snapper servings were tiny, over priced & disappointing,

Unfortunately this place has gone down hill.

Absolutely disgusting. Worst fish and chips EVER.paid extra for snapper.was like rubber and looke suspiciously like birds eye to me. Was told they use frozen fish.
Do not waste your money.
Bring back the old owners.

A. Since when is SALT an optional extra on chips? We weren't even asked if we wanted it, let alone vinegar, so had no idea we were getting tasteless food.
B. Extremely SMALL piece of hake for $11?
C. Pretty sure half the chips were double cooked, which made them dark & oil logged.

Was our 2nd try back to BBF&C since the latest change of ownership. Back to 1 star, portion size dropped off quick. Hoped it was just beginners fault the first time.

No better this time. $5 worth of chips wouldn't even be a basket full. Won't bother again.

Great value and great food! Cooked to perfection! Love this joint I used to come here as a kid 10-15 years ago and still love to come get fish and chips from here today. Friendly staff also

I know fresh fish.this was not yucky disgusting.and rude management. Accused me of being 'someone like that' I'm i chef I've worked with fresh fish! And my dad had a bad stomach.so disappointing. I've been going here for a year

We ordered fish and chips (shark) prawns and pineapple fritters.
It was delicious, piping hot, fish was perfectly cooked, crispy, as were the chips!
It arrived on time, the $6 delivery fee is reasonable.
Will definitely order again and highly recommend this business.

Very disappointed. The batter was greasy and not fully cooked. The fish was not hot and the chips were mushy. The fish and chips were not wrapped tightly. We have been going to this shop for 26 years and will now shop elsewhere.

Stated closing time of 8 but when I arrived at 7: 40 they were already closed. Don't advertise times that you'll be open if you won't actually be open during those times.

We ordered fish and chips on Good Friday for my wedding rehearsal, the food was cooked to perfection - everyone really enjoyed it! Very tasty and not greasy like some places. The owners were super helpful and accommodating with our big order. Will definitely be using this great business again.

The food is cooked perfect, and the staff are friendly, it's a must to go there and buy your fish and chips, be prepared to spend some time waiting, the que is normally long, i had a smile watching the staff (a little bit disorganised, to many staff behind the counter).
Please don't be put off going the food is worth it.
