Bivouac Canteen & Bar reviews
50 A worker who serviced us really friendly. We didn't know well about menus they have, she explained about foods very well.
The food we order was amazing. I will definitely to come here again! Thanks!
I've been charged $75 for having to cancel an upcoming booking within 24 hours due to illness. It would be much kinder to allow customers to reschedule instead.
This restaurant had been recommended on perth foodies fb page. Hubby booked this for my birthday. We were both blown away by the food, absolutely delicious. We ordered lamb cutlets and the tagine with roasted potatoes and we could have eaten more. Can’t wait to go back, lovely quick service too. Thankyou
I had a terrible experience here. Our waiter was incredibly rude, he came over every 30 seconds pestering us to order as he would "need to turn the table over in 90 minutes". We felt so rushed and absolutely ruined the vibe! Even with a limited time booking, it is so unnecessary to rush your guests like that. I spent my minimum guarantee amount and left, won't be going back.
We dined as 2 couples and at the end we said that we wish to pay the bill, divided equally, with 2 credit cards. This was refused on the basis that they don’t allow split bills. Dividing by 2 is NOT rocket science, and I can’t believe the pettiness of this pronouncement. I certainly won’t be back
The most disappointing service I have ever received.
I was told due to my nut allergy I was not allowed to eat at Bivouac and so I ended up having to leave the restaurant to go else where.
I have never been told I was required to show my epipen at any other restaurant in my life! I fully understand the risk of eating out with a nut allergy and I specifically wrote in the booking notes (1.5 weeks in advance) that I had a nut allergy. I was not notified that I needed to bring proof of epipen nor is it stated in T&C's of booking.
Firstly, the restaurant should be able to cater for such allergy, As does every other restaurant I have ever dined at.
Secondly, It should be stated at time of booking if they cannot or if proof of epipen is required.
Thirdly, My allergy is to ingredient only, not traces. So I do not necessarily require an epipen for my allergy.
Lastly, The wait staff was extremely rude and un accomodating. He never apologised and made me feel like i was stupid and that I had done something wrong.
I highly suggest noting on T&C's at the time of booking more information for anyone with an allergy and also getting your own Epipen for your first Aid kit if you are not confident with catering for dietary requirements.
You guys really need to work on basic customer service skills. We were reminded of the 90min table time frame constant (for a 5pm booking when the restaurant was empty), and this was in the space of the 10min from when we sat down. We quite clearly read that it was 90min and do not need to constantly be reminded. Food was mediocre. Plenty of better places around
I love this place! I’ve been coming to Biv for ten years because it is consistently brilliant. My partner and I celebrated our anniversary here last night and the staff made us feel so welcome! Love and gratitude especially to the marvellous Coven for taking care of us. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Had dinner here on a not too busy Tuesday night. The food and service were really outstanding. One of the very best. Everything was super tasty without being overpowering. Really well worth a visit especially if you like middle eastern/north african cuisine.
So good. Amazin vego options. Only critique is a few more natural wines added to the wine list:)
