Billy Lee's Chinese Restaurant reviews
52Don’t waste your money I paid $50 for 2 items which tasted disgusting the rice was good that’s it, we got sweet and sour chicken there was literally no chicken inside it was full of batter the squid tentacles tasted fishy and were so hard the staff couldn’t care less
Great local restaurant in Chinatown that provides exactly what it promises: great Chinese food at a good price. The best dish tonight was the eggplant hotpot and prawn dumplings. Awesome experience…
This restaurant is mentioned on uber eats with an option to choose the allergen you are allergic to that food option. To confirm i called in the restaurant to confirm if the specific fried rice could be done gluten free and they said they could and to place my order through uber eats as they do not deliver themselves which I did. And what i received was a battered and fried chicken with my fried rice. I called the restaurant again and they now said that fried rice option could not be made gluten free.
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO ANYTHING. They do not speak english or understand allergens. It is a farce on uber eats.
Edit: my oder was placed via uber eats on 14/04/2023 at 2.15 am. It was chilli pepper chicken fried rice and a fried egg. I called in the number provided on ubereats that is +61892289388. First call was picked up by a male employee which was prior to ordering and the second call which was after i received my order was answered by a female employee. There is no order number mentioned on the uber eats receipt.
Fast late night meal, busy restaurant, good food, quick service. Authentic. Easy public pay parking nearby makes it the perfect hidden gem in Perth Chinatown.
Food was amazing, ordered way too much but who doesn't enjoy Chinese for lunch next day.
To Chinese: this is not real Chinese food.
To non-Chinese: Chinese or not, the food quality is fine.
They need to hire more people for Friday and Saturday. The poor guy could barely catch a breathe. And they served one dish wrong.
Semi regular at this place, even for takeaway. Awesome place! Awesome food and service very time
Get proper uber drivers I was excited to get my meal to be delivered $60 worth got nothing
Decent Chinese restaurant with an extensive menu and reasonable prices. Nothing special, but obviously popular with the locals. Superior service.
Really nice food and tasty best thing is they are opened till late.
Just a down fall on there Special Fried Rice not good. Better to get Fried Rice instead
Lovely and helpful staff that went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Great food and nice spot for a casual dinner.
Worst meal I’ve had in ages. Rice was oily and stunk of seafood. Honey chicken was just honey coated cheap chicken. Szechuan beef there was more sauce than meat and veggies.
Overall a very good dining experience- the choice this evening was the Chilli Tofu and Chilli Fish (Szechuan peppery soup), the food actually exceeded my expectations as it was something different in terms of taste experience- try it and see for yourselves
Tucked away at the end of china town food court is this hidden gem of authentic Cantonese/Hong Kong cuisine… very attentive staff, great dishes to share on the traditional lazy Mary… this one is a winner and the crowd has found out about it judging by the amount of reviews and the take away business they have consistently coming thru
The chinese guy who wears glasses and who is at the reception is trying to give English language classes to uber eats drivers. Bro, mind your business or If you want to teach English then teach your community people first, they need it badly. Trust me,
Piece of ……….
Maybe is just not my type of food can’t seem to enjoy any of the food except the crueller only. Won’t recommend to first timers eating Chinese food. One star is for the service the food is really not good.
Terrible! I ordered the scallops, the staff put in a wrong order, which came out not what I ordered! The staff got very little product knowledge, the beef clay pot came out was out of expectation, totally in a wrong way! As I am a 100% Cantonese! I just ate 20% of all the dishes then left! Terrible service! Terrible food! Never recommend and back again!
Used Uber Eats with these guys, do not recommend. It was two hours late (only spring rolls and soup dumplings) and when it got here I had been given pork dumplings and cold, soggy spring rolls.
Great little spot tucked away.
Really yummy food and reminded us of being overseas on holiday in a side street with location and decor.
I really enjoy going to Billy Lee's for a late night feed or ordering takeaway via Uber eats. The food is always fresh and flavours balanced very well. The salt and pepper squid tentacles are a must order if you visit, well seasoned and spicy. The steamed prawn dumplings are also a good choice. The staff are friendly but bare in mind that on a busy night service and food may take a lot longer.
