All 5 of us had gastro on day 2 of our stay because the water in the cottage doesn't get properly disinfected.
Owners offered 2 canisters of drinking water but it was too late.
You will be woken up by a rooster starting screaming at 4am.
Farm mini horses are cute and the cottage has everything you need.

Found this little piece of heaven in 2013 and ever since kept coming back here every year. A secluded farmhouse which kids and adults love alike.

We had a wonderful stay in this hidden gem in walpole. Its pure nature and very serene. The cow's mooos and will wake you up in the morning The highlight is the kids pony ride. My kids keep talking about it on our way back home and wanted to come back. Donna was so welcoming and such an amazing lady. Thank you Billa Billa, we'll be back surely.

Really enjoyed our stay and the kids loved the experience of pony rides and running around in the paddock. Cows, sheep, ponies and horses around as well as pigs, chickens and a little lamb that required hand feeding. It was cold and windy during our stay and the chalets were a little difficult to keep warm as it wasn't very well insulated. We had heaters on as well as a roaring fire and it was just enough.
Highlights was just the relaxed atmosphere that the environment induced. Lots of things to see in the area within an hour's drive.

We loved staying at Donna's farm. Kids had a blast with the farm animals and the location is beautiful. Only downside is that cottage and furniture are a little old. Other than that its brilliant. Will advise people to take slightly longer route of going ti walpole and then up on North walpole road and avoid beardmore road which is hard gravel through forest with no mobile coverage.

We have taken our three boys to Billa Billa a couple of times now and we love it! 15-20 mins from Walpole town it is just the most beautiful spot. The boys explore the paddocks and feed the pigs and chooks. Donna is so welcoming and relaxed it is always a great stay. So much to see and explore in the area too. We will go back again.

Great for kids especially the little farm experience in the mornings only downside is the buildings & furniture are very dated as with most farmstays in the region so kinda to be expected just a heads up for those expecting the hilton

Absolute magic! We had 5 kids from 3 to 7 years of age and every single person had a magic time. The host is wonderful and easy going with the kids enjoyment at heart. Baby animals, pony rides and a gorgeous view. Memories made on this trip, would highly recommend.

I liked the place for the wood fireplace and its’ secluded location on a farm. However, there are a few improvements that could be made to make this a remarkable experience for travellers:

- The house had a stale smell, that could be due to the water used to mop the floor
- There was no WiFi provided and cellphone signal was really weak on the property
- The mattresses may need to be replaced/to be deep cleaned as they smell old and musky

What a perfect place to be to relax and unwind, we will definately be back. The family owned and run business made the experience so much more personal and the children loved the pony rides and playing with the next door cottages kids as well. The fire place was increddible addition to the enjoyment and the view is beautiful from the deck. Rooms clean and well presented, the sheets where lively and soft too. There was a water leak behind the shower wall but i notified cottage manager, she was soooo lovely the whole time we where there.
The town of walpole had a community dance on as well and the town was so welcoming to strangers/visitors. We cant wait to come back.

Our family had a great experience at Billa Billa. All our five kids had a great time from Pony rides to feeding the chooks, holding the rabbit and playing with the sheep and it chasing us! From patting the horses to feeding the pig. What fun. During our three nights there we experienced beautiful warm days to raining all day. It was all good. Plenty of attractions around Billa Billa to do as well. Scenery and rolling green hills are incredible. Accommodation is basic, clean and comfortable. Woodfire there and BBQ on the verandah. If you have a family with kids I do recommend it. Donna was very welcoming and supportive throughout our time. Even had the kids on a Pony ride in the rain! They loved it! Thanks Donna.

I actually would like to give more stars for this place. However, we had a very bad experience on the last night of our trip. We lost the water connection so we could not have shower, wash the dishes, flush the loo, cook and fill up our drink water. We found the next morning that all the other guests/cottages had the same issue.

Since the place is in the farm, which is pretty much isolated, there was no phone signal. There was no landline as well in the cottage. The owner did not live in the farm and the caretaker was not available. All of the guests had to get water from the nearby town which was about 30 minutes away. The owner came around 9 - 10 in the morning and tried as quickly as possible to fix the connection. But apart from being very apologetic, no further compensation was given for the inconvenience.

The farm itself is beautiful. It was peaceful and quiet. The owner is actually very friendly and nice. The children can ride on pippen, the old pony, every morning. There are other animals as well in the farm that can be fed.

This would have been a great place to stay if not because of the water incident. I am so sorry but I have to give just 2 stars since the experience was not good. It is understood that this is a farmstay, but this is not a camping in the wilderness. The guests expect a working self-contained cottage with reliable assistance in case of need.

My feedback is for the owner to at least provide a reliable way to contact the owner since the place is far from anywhere. At least a wifi connection would be sufficient for the guests to use in case of emergency. Please kindly make improvements in that area.

Wonderfully simple farmstay cottages set in pastures with animals roaming throughout. The host is there working, caring for all the sheep, horses, cows and chickens and offering pony rides to kids every morning. No phones service. No town. Walpole attractions like the tree walk are reachable in 20+ minutes.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at the cottages in January 2018. The kids loved the pony rides and engaging with the farm animals. The cottages are clean and well-maintained with BBQ and kitchen facilities. An affordable option for families, about 15 minutes drive from Walpole.

Absolutely love Billa Billa. We are heading back again tomorrow after falling in love with the place, and Donna, two years ago. Definitely worth the trip from Perth! The kids are never bored; between the animals, the landscape and the spacious cabins, it's a sure fire winner.

Relaxing, fresh air, quiet. Start your own log fire! Remember to go outside at night, switch off all lights and look at the stars. Fantastic view! Visit all the animals, ride the ponies, chase the goat and the lambs, pet the rabbit and feed the pigs. Catch a glimpse of the kangaroos. Really enjoyed my time here with my family. Be warned! No internet or rather very weak signal. Time to enjoy off the grid.
