56I looked up ‘ Big W with photo shops’ (so I could create an album) it said Riverton- so I drove 40kms - they don’t have one!
It's a large format departmental store, with a wide range of products, from clothing, housewares, tech, party essentials, books, stationery, toys. There is also a section for kids party goods and balloons.
A huge thank you to the gentleman who served me from the balloons area on 12/6/23. I really appreciate the help in finding suitable batteries for my items. Great customer service! Cheers!
I have to say the staff at the collection/layby point are extremely rude for absolutely no reason! Some of us are genuine customers that expect a service with a smile. If you don't like your job, i suggest you find one you do.
Big W as a whole are marvellous, great prices, great products BUT click and collect is a facility that's used if you want to click and collect, not click.wait 2 days and collect. I ordered online at approx 9.30 am to collect that day, i thought i had the email to say to go an collect, but it was just an email to say Big W had the order and will contact me with a unique collection number, so i headed to the store at 1.45pm the same day, explaining i thought i had the right email but before i could even finish what i was saying. WHAT TIME DID YOU ORDER i said, this morning around. 2 DAYS was the response? (again, i had not even finished speaking) 2 days before you can collect were busy! WOW what great customer service! So i said i kind of need it today, can i go and get it? Well if you think you can find it on the shelf then yes was the response! Again WOW - So i happily went and found the item, picked it up and was served by a different lady, all the while receiving dirty look from the lady with a pony tail (right so hiding her name tag)
FYI Lady, you really shouldn't be wearing shorts at work! Not with legs like yours, and try smiling once in a while, customers might come back to you!
Not a great experience on this occasion, and its not the first time at the counter - i find them both very rude! Do better Big Dub.
Spacious. Good low prices. Nice range of every day goods. The amount of books has astounded me: mostly just popular novels and coffee table books.
Went to go shopping and double checked online big W was open said they were I got there and they are closed: (you may need to update you opening times and when it's a public holiday update your hours.
We visited Big W with some faulty sheets. The lady on the service desk was incredibly helpful and understanding in giving us a refund.
Yesterday I was at the register ready to checkout. The young lady closed it and told me to use self serve. I used self serve but needed assistance which was very difficult to get. As I was checking out, I looked over at the closed checkout and it had reopened. Why didn't the rude bich tell me I could wait a minute for the next person to reopen?
Lady in technology department unhelpful, rude and shouldn't be in customer service. Hard to find staff in the store.
Usually don't stock schoolwear in the local school colours. Often the stock levels through out many departments are low or non-existent. If it's on sale in a catalogue, there is a chance they don't have it. That is the feeling I've had over the last 10years. Especially toy catalogues.
I enjoy my visits to Big W. They sell a lot of different stuff than similar stores. They also sell toilet paper at a competitive price
The lady today at the Service Desk was one of the worst people I’ve came across in retail. I won’t go into my personal situation but the person that I had to put up with needs to leave or get removed. I work for the same company and have never experienced such anger and rudeness.
Visited this place on 4th of January 2022, around 6 pm. Extremely rude service by the elderly lady staff at the front information and cashier desk, also the elderly female staff at the front check point gate. Very rude in communicating with a person who asked a question politely about certain product.
If they cant speak or interact in a proper civilised manner, they should not be working there, as their mannerism is also an indirect representation of the company.
My go to place, they have zippay and afterpay, so convenient for me who likes to bulk buy here and there. The staff are great, even though they are so busy with tasks, I appreciate the help they give very much. They work so hard. Thank you for making my life easy. Highly recommended to all. I live in the city and prefer this Big W. My go to place!
All major retailers have the same layout. It makes finding what you need easier. This store was clean and staff were on the floor actively restocking. Disappointing that only 1 manned checkout was open. I prefer to be served as it keeps a cashier employed.

Just an FYI - It is against the law to ask customers to provide their medical exemption to you. It is a private medical document that can only be asked for by the chief medical officer, so you may want to let your door staff know to stop.
This was a specific journey made to buy a specific Xmas present for my grandson. I scoured the shelves of the book section, before being directed to the service section, where I was politely helped and sales assistant requested to attend. By this time another customer was also waiting for book buying help. After a bit of a wait the sales lady arrived and told me the book was in stock, but out the back! This whole purchase took more than 20 minutes, and I won't be rushing back. A great advert for shopping on line.
Someone really needs to educate the ill mannered woman in electronics on how price matching works. Another customer at the scene was appalled, and her own colleague even stating its nothing new for her. An embarrassment for the company.
The customer service from one of the staffs at this store apparently need to be improved, I asked for help which the staff did, but the way she talked like I did something wrong.
