Kids love the train ride and there's a very nice museum next to it with old trains and vehicles.

Our family had an absolutely delightful first visit to Whiteman Park, especially taking a ride on the trains. We went on the first hottest day of spring and still thoroughly enjoyed exploring the park's various features. Our 4-year-old son, who's a budding train enthusiast, was thrilled beyond words.

I have to say, the staff at the train stations were both knowledgeable and captivating when we inquired about the trains. Being a building inspector, I couldn't help but notice the impressive condition of the stations, especially considering their age and the fact that they've been relocated. It's quite an accomplishment.

The train ride itself was charming. Sure, the seats are old-fashioned timber, but it's not about comfort—it's about the immersive experience, which was fantastic. And as for the park's appearance, we had no issue with it being a bit on the dry side. This is Western Australia. After all; not every inch of the landscape can be a lush, green oasis.

Our son was so sad when it was time to leave, which pretty much says it all. We're already planning to return next week for another round of fun. Highly recommended!

Best place to go to during the months where there’s steam train. If im not wrong, the steam trains only operate between the months of May and September.

Our steam loco had abit of hiccup along the way, but was saved by the highly experienced crew.

A true steam train experience!

Children loved the train ride. Good break if you have walked abit at Caversharm in the earlier part. They close in the afternoon so dont go too late!

Really nice place. Son enjoyed the train rides, especially as you can go on as many times as you wish with the 1 ticket. The surrounding areas are really nice to go for a walk or ride. Didnt get a chance to see more of the areas but will definately come back

A fabulous place for train lover. Now it’s diesel train season, the steamer will begin in end of May. Children below 4 are free. And the ticket is unlimited ride for a single day. Worth it, especially last ride, many kangaroos came out.

$10 for adults and it’s unlimited ride during the day. There are not that many seats on the train but not that squishy. Excellent view and it only takes 20mins for a ride. Didn’t see that many kangaroos as other commenters but saw one! Recommended to come for a ride then go to Caversham wildlife park afterwards it’s okay 5mins drive.

Adults $10.00; Seniors $8.00; Children (4-14yrs) $5.00

Operates SAT + SUN + SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Excellent ride, forget about kids, a best experience of real passenger train service can be experienced by adults and recall childhood memories to talk about with kids.

Both open and Cabin compartments available. Open will be bit windy (depends on when you visit).

Parking is just in front of the train station.

Great facility to have kids birthday party. You have your own decommissioned train to use as seating. Plenty of chairs and tables provides to use in your own pivate platfotm. You can also ride stream train, which the kids enjoyed a lot. Staff are very friendly

Amazing train ride to experience even though it was long and barely anything to see it was still pretty relaxing.

My 4 year old is obsessed with the train! When he grows up he will be the “train man driving the Ashley Choo Choo”

Great little train ride, only down side is it's quite long with nothing to really see, except bush.and a few very old dirty stick ppl, would be great if maybe have some more things to "spot"along the way, on Both sides of the track. And a small card/ paper print out for spotting whatever, for the little ones to get excited about.

I take my 13 yr old son here each weekend as he is a volunteer on the railway and we love it. The Guy's and Gal's who run the railway are all volunteers too so next time your at Whiteman park stop by and go for a ride thru the bushland of the park and say g'day to my son Keldon who may be inspecting tickets or driver's offsider in the engine. Good family fun.

This railway is awesome. Our kids loved it and the ride was so peaceful. The scenery was beautiful, a real nice way to see the wild bushland in the area. Staff were very friendly and the ride was well priced. Definitely will ride again when we're in the area next!
