Bayside Fish Shack reviews
59 A fantastic dinner. We didn’t have a reservation, so we were stoked to get a table.
The gluten free options were amazing, great quality & value for money. Really good service & very helpful staff
I tried this place out the other day for some gluten free fish and chips. It was such a hot day and the kitchen here would have been so awful to be in. But these guys were so lovely, the ordering was simple, pick up was quick and the food was fresh and yummy. Would love to do a dine in one time, it's quite a cool little set up with outdoor dining.
Little Gem of a fish and chip shop!
Beautiful crunchy chips, delicious fish bites and dim sims in batter (never seen these before), best we have had in such a long time. Thank you
Always amazing. So lucky to have such a good local chippie that also does GF options. Hawaiian chicken burger and red emporer fish is my fav.
Chips cooked perfectly, not at all greasy.
They were also in the lunch time rush and super friendly.
Keen to try some fish out next time
Hey all,
Been here a few times now. Was am awesome lil out of the way place. Friendly staff and sensational food.
Always get the grilled fish n chips with lemon pepper myself.but had a few of their dishes now.n everytime is just soooo good.
Great quality seafood, great value and a beautiful dine in garden with a games area for the kids. This place ticks all the boxes.
Now I’m not one to write reviews. Good or bad. But what we have just experienced was appalling. I was told to pick up my order in 30 mins, however I believe it was made immediately and sat in the warmer for the majority of that time. The oil was clearly no where near hot enough, as the whole thing was a grease-fest and the batter was gluggy and soggy. We had to throw away most of it. And I can assure you, Im not picky. It was the worst fish and chips I have ever had, never again. Been feeling sick all day from what we did consume it was that laden with oil. Should have just driven it back!
Probably the best fish and chips I’ve had since I can remember. Let alone the fact it was all gluten free!
Terrible. Fish batter was stuck to paper and feel off as opened. Fish was dry and tastless. Potato scallops were hard. Not cooked properly. Dim aims were overcooked.
Disappointing all round.
Great fish and chips place, quaint and a bit quiet when we had lunch there ard 1pm. The snapper was light and the batter was crunchy. Calamari was tender and fresh. Portions were good and a main, kids meal + calamari was good for 2 adults and 1 young kid.
Such a shame, was so excited to try this! Where to start really! Everything was overcooked, the seafood basket does not come with chips as menu states, the pineapple fritters @ $3 a pop were the thinnest and smallest pieces of pineapple I've ever had! Really disappointing I really hope we just caught them on a once off bad night!
Food for the whole army! We ordered seafood for two, but more like for four at least! Very generous portions and only cost us $28!
Disappointing what food I did get in our take away was yum but missing alot of what I order tried ringing but no answer at a family outting was too far to return not happy.paying for food and not receiving.
Horrible worst ever fish and chips and smallest mushy peas ever about a desert spoon full witch cost 3 dollars fish cold and rubbery it was two shark and one red emperor will never be back only went as had really good reviews.
This has to be one of the best value Fish and chips places in Perth. Had a mixture of fried, grilled and assorted seafood mix items and all tasted fresh and pretty big portions. None of this frozen hake fish business here.
What wasn’t huge was the price. Had the Fish, chips and mushy peas and the battered large snapper fillet in it was huge and all just for $14. You would pay $30 for this in a normal restaurant dine in.
Can see that it is family owned and they keep their quality up. Lovely homey alfresco area for dine in. All in all had a great value seafood feast with the family and will definitely come back soon!
Lovely spot for a casual dine in, great fish and chips. Pity we had to put up with irresponsible mothers who let their toddlers run wild through the venue, screaming at glass shattering pitch.
Manager on duty needs to control this behaviour. The children's play area was a shambles. I have worked with young children for many years and was disgusted by the lack of respect for other diners.
Spoiled the evening for us and our grandkids.
Won't be back till things change.
The best fish and chips I've ever had in my life. Crispy yet fluffy chips, succulent fish, generous and exquisite battering and squid rings to live for!
10/10 would feed again
Very disappointing since covid the serving size and standards have dropped but the prices have increased
Fast and friendly service. We had grilled barramundi and chips, both of which were fresh and tasty. Will definitely eat here again.
