Barnacles Food Bar reviews
48Great location. Staff not very friendly. I requested a sandwich with no mayonnaise due to an egg allergy and it came smothered in mayonnaise
Grilled Pink snapper, cooked to perfection with some lovely chips.
Sat outside and watched the world go by as we enjoyed our lunch.
Great cafe and very relaxing watching the boats in the harbour
Wonderful little place! We had a lobster roll each & it was delicious! Sun was shining & it was very relaxing sitting watching the activities in the boats in the Port enjoying our roll. There were many choices on the menu, and service was quick. We will be back!
Great little spot at the wharf. Never misses with my choice. Fish Burger was big and tasty. Nice little sunny spot Big car park. You can buy fresh fish right next door. Love this place
We had fish and chips (pink snapper), it was very nice, but only small portions, not great value for the money spent
Far to expensive. $39.00 for 2 small serves of fish & chips. Was nice though.
See your reply. I often buy fish & chips and your price was $13.00 more than the previous highest price I’ve paid. Someone else while being served said no way in hell when told the price for their order and walked out.
Great lobster and fisherman basket. My daughter is not a fun of fish&chip, but she likes the fried calamari and scallop a lot. If you plan to travel beyond Cervantes to Geraldton, it is much better than Lobster Shack @ Cervantes.
I absolutely love this place, the service is always Great and Efficient and the Food is fresh and super delicious.
I understand the workers here have been so busy and working so hard as they have been under staffed but they always get the Job done with a smile on their faces.
Thank you.
Good food, love the location.staff were unable to fill my order resulting in confusion between front of house and kitchen staff.
Had lobster rolls tasted great if you asked for a salad roll. No lobster to be found.disappointing.
Worst fish & chips ever, paid for blue bone got soggy frozen fish. Very small portions. Made us feel quite ill after eating
Worst shop ever only one selection of fish to choose from.
Also picked up the bit of fish and fatty oil was dripping from it like can’t you drain the food go to the one up north of the town called gone fishing it’s so much better!
2 hour wait on Good Friday. I expected a delay but that was ridiculous! Very pricey $18.50 snapper and chips meal would not have touched the sides of a big eater. Disappointing after so many previously great experiences.
Ordered a full service grilled rock lobster… got empty shells filled with cut chunks of COLD lobster tail (on hand for the lobster salad on the menu?) smothered with garlic butter. The meal included coleslaw and chips - in the same container. Great if one likes soggy chips. For a $35 meal, at least put the slaw in a separate container. Fish and chips: Batter on fish was very sticky and under cooked. A very disappointing meal. The food here used to be reliably good!
Very disappointing meal.
$52 for fishermen's basket, a serve of squid and kids fish bits and chips.
No fresh seafood all crumbed packet stuff, soggy chips and small servings.
Definitely can’t recommend sadly.
Worst fish and chips I have ever had you have been going down hill for awhile so I won't be back. And I have been a customer for 32years since Ann had the old building always liked the place but the last few times bad wise and shitful bye bye
Nice atmosphere but ordered full fish $23 and wasn’t enough to feed my 5 year nephew. Staff were not overly helpful, felt a bit ripped off.
Sadly the new owners have come in and changed the menu which I understand but unfortunately not for the best. Not really a fish and chip shop now more a seafood cafe. Ordered $5 worth of chio and it came out in a takeaway cup that fit in the palm of my hand. Sad to say I asked for a refund and went elsewhere.
Fish was in light crispy batter. Chips nice and crunchy not greasy. Definitely tasted like fried in fresh oil. Lobster slightly overcooked, perhaps grilled would have been better.
