Banjup Local reviews
23Normally I love taking my daughter here but today it was shocking to pay $6.50 for a large almond cappuccino. That’s just ridiculous prices for a place that is situated on personal property. Even coffee prices in the city aren’t this ridiculous. Won’t be returning.
Top notch coffee, nice selection of cakes and biscuits for morning tea. A great place for parents with kids.
Beautiful spot, plenty of things for the kids to do, yummy cupcakes, cookies and coffee for everyone, my kids had an amazing morning and will definitely visit again
While it is a nice spot to bring the kids to see the animals on a nice lawn area, the old duck and Asian lady behind the counter need a lesson on customer service. A smile or friendly interaction would have gone a long way! Putty there was not one in site
Great place for kids and families. My 14 month old loves seeing the animals and playing in the sand pit.
Entry is free, just buy something from their cafe and enjoy your picnic.
Animals including emus, goats, horses and sheep. Cake shop on site. Only accessible from Cockburn direction on separated highway.
Visited on a Sunday morning and arrived just at feeding time! Lovely spot for kids and families. Very tame animals to feed.
Coffee and cakes were quite pricey.
I went for the first time yesterday. Great atmosphere and great experience for children being able to interact a bit with the farm
Animals. I did find the cupcakes and coffee expensive and no gluten free option the time I was there. As a celiac it would be nice to have something to offer especially as they don’t want outside food. But at the same time the fact it’s free entry I don’t think that it’s that much of an issue. The one thing I was surprised about was the ONE portable toilet! ️ It was busy and full of kids. No proper toilets? I had to take my child and couldn’t even fit the both of us in and the door wouldn’t shut completely and it was really wet and dirty: we couldn’t even work out how to get water going to clean our hands. That’s a definite issue. Toilets are a Necessity in an outdoor busy place like that. Some shaded areas too would be nice as it’s getting hotter now too. Full sun picnic can get hot. But would go back, I would just prepare myself for the toilet situation.
Very disappointed, looks like new owners have taken over, have been taking the family there a lot, but the last time we visited l found the owner to be rude, raciest, and to talk down to some people which is not the way to run any type of business.
This place is SO unique! Wonderful experience!
Perfect for kids. Sit down and have a cuppa and delicious treat while the kids run around safely where you can see them.
There is a sand pit, room to run around, animals to see and plenty to explore.
Vegan cupcakes - omg so good….
Highly recommend this awesome venue!
Used to be a great place in past but owners have recently become greedy - increased prices for cafe items, made it mandatory to buy from cafe and not allowing outside food for kids. Sad
Banjup Local was a lovely surprise, great coffee and cakes. An added bonus was being there at approx 11am when it was feeding time for the animals.
Love this local gem, tempting to try and keep it a secret but I guess that wouldn't be fair food and coffee are very yummy and the outdoor play space surrounded by animal paddocks is perfect for kids!
Saw the fresh eggs sign outside several times but never realised there was a cafe behind. Tried after reading the positive reviews and it did not disappoint. Tried triple choc cookie, Maltesers cookie, Smartie pants cookie, Cinnamon bun, Iced Coffee and iced choc. All were very good. The main positive is the large space for kids to play around and a variety of farm animals. There are soccer goal posts and balls as well as a mudpit with toys. There is a portable single toilet. Kids had a great time playing with the animals.you can easily spend couple of hours here. Only negatives are the high prices that can add up quickly and shaded area was a bit limited.
What a little gem on armadale road. If you drive pass make sure to stop there for an excellent coffee, cookie or other sweet bites.everyone was super friendly, Francoise gave us a tour of the paddock and introduced all the pets. It looks like people we having fun and kids having a ball.a must try. I hope they can expand as we need more places like this in the area.
The best place for coffee, cakes and cookie. If you're a Ice mocha fan, then this is the place to get it.
Such a hidden little suburban gem. Perfect for the kids to run around and pat some animals.
The Coffee is great here! A superb selection of Gluten Free and vegan cakes and cookies.
If you want to chill out, burn some energy with the family or even grab some homemade treats make sure you check out this place.
Amazing little coffee shop with the most delicious vegan choc chip cookies! Sitting area is really cool with pallets and milk crates and the kids loved kicking goals and seeing all of the animals
Service, food, coffee and people are amazing! Highly recommend - get around this local business ️
THE BEST cookies I have ever had. Lovely bakery, friendly staff and we loved the animals out the back.
