Banana skin children hairdresser is a great place for children haircut, specially for the children who like to have good chat during haircut.

I love this salon. They do such a great cut and are so patient and gentle with the kids. Every time I leave a phone or txt message they respond to me quickly so I can book in a time. I Highly recommend taking your children there for haircuts.

My son has been coming to get his haircut for years. The service is fantastic and he won't let anyone else cut his hair and he's nearly 14

Lovely staff, did a great job with my daughter's first haircut. Was very impressed with the styling and a little treat at the end. They even saved me a lock of her hair.

My son usually doesn't sit still, or allow a hairdresser to cut his hair. It usually takes hours. At Banana skins he sat down, the lady was so nice, my son walked out there with a nice haircut and a big smile. Thank you Banana Skins for making it a good experience. The twin grandkids had there first haircut here! The ladies were excellent with them! Highly recommend it will definitely be back!

Took our son for his first cut (1.5 years old) based off recommendations from friends. We were so excited.
We dont live all that close and were 3 mins late to our appointment due to traffic. Called ahead to inform them and immediately the staff member was standoffish. Upon entry she was very abrupt and explained how they only allow 30 mins per child. We understood this and assumed it would take 5 or 10 as his hair is fairly short, just a trim and shape.
Our son enjoyed the chairs and motorbikes which is why I have given 2 stars but the haircut itself was terrible. He sat still and cooperated nicely, just not a great cut. The lady was over and done with in 10 mins. We then sat at the counter for another 15 mins while she tried to get the eftpos machine working. (Still under our 30 min allocated time slot)
I myself was booked in the next day at my Barber so took my son with me and had them re-do the cut and shape and it is now perfect. I tell you what for $31 it was a very poor job and I was only charged half that by
my Barber to fix up their mess which took my barber 25 mins to do. I really hope it was just a bad day for the staff member at Banana skins that day, but our disappointment will not see us return. Such a shame.

Absolutely fantastic. Brought our autistic 3 year old who hates getting hair cut here, while it wasn't easy, the lovely lady's were very patient and just amazing.

Very friendly staff, salon is nice and quiet for kids who cant manage loud noises.
Great professional cuts

We took our 2 year old to Banana Skins for his first "real" haircut today and couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. We were expecting tears, tantrums and difficulty, but the opposite turned out to be the case. He loved sitting in the fire engine chair and the hairdresser did a fantastic job of keeping him distracted/entertained while she did her work. His hair looks great and the whole experience was pleasant and enjoyable. Will definitely be heading back again when he needs another trim.

We had a great experience here. The booking process is a bit impersonal with texts (other reviews have commented on this- but I personally like it being busy with kids!) who cares when they do such a wonderful job! My son has longer curly hair and Jeanette was amazing. She knew exactly how to cut his hair and made him so comfortable. Wouldn’t ever go anywhere else

No one returns phone calls or messeges. I guess if you want to have your child haircut sometime next month maybe they will finally call back. If you want it today, don't bother. Seriously, time to invest in a simple automated booking system, it's not that hard or expensive. For me it's just a frustrating experience.

Friendly, quick high quality haircuts. We've had three different staff members across ~7 haircuts, and all have been fantastic with reluctant toddlers/preschoolers - great at putting them at ease. Worth spending a little more than a cheaper shopping centre haircut.

I didn’t find the staff really friendly. I asked them to book me in with text message. They even didn’t start the text message with Hi!

They didn’t welcome us at our entrance as well. They were offering chocolates to the previous customer and my toddler asked to have one the lady just took the lollies out of my daughter hand without being nice or gentle.

The other lady who gave the haircut was nice and did a good job.

I didn’t like the professional behaviour at the salon. I would be back to my old salon Little Herbert which is now a bit far away from me but definitely worth the drive and the money!

Absolutely blown away with how great these guys are. My 2 year old screamed and cried and wanted cuddles the whole time and his haircut looks great! Such skilled professionals to be able to cut and clip a screaming toddlers hair!
