Balga Salvos Child Health Centre reviews
8I couldn't recommend Kim and the team at Balga Salvos Child Care Centre highly enough! The 6 week antenatal program was informative and interactive without overloading you. I took away so much from this course, more than I realised at the time and have benefited greatly as a new mum. A must do for all mums to be!
Awesome support from Kim, she really knows how to make you feel like you’re not alone. Having a newborn is super overwhelming even the second time around but Kim was quick to ease my concerns, she took the time to make sure that my son was happy and healthy but more importantly she took the time to make sure I was happy and healthy.
The place to be when you have a baby or a toddler!
Lindsey and Kimberley are such beautiful souls combined with years of experience in childhealth. Since 2019 they take best care of the physical and mental wellbeing of our children! Especially as a first time mum there are so many questions. The child health nurses supported us throughout the developmental journey of our bubs with lots of friendliness, knowledge and dedication and always gave us advise when needed! They offer a wide range of programs: pregnancy classes, early parenting (mother's) groups, introduction to infant massage, baby sensory, mum and bubs fitness classes, introduction to solids, first aid curses, toilet training workshops, sing & grow sessions, vacation care, family fun days, etc. All the information can be found on their Facebook and Instagram account. Additionaly they hold twice a week a wonderful playgroup in their community garden. It's a magical place for the children as well as for the parents. My children and me are joining since years. We met so many lovely families and even made some precious friendships for the children amd myself. Highly recommended if you're looking for a safe and fun place to play, explore and socialice with other families.
Kim and the team at The Balga Salvos Child health Center have been such a blessing to us. I would highly recommend any new mums to come and join the classes. It is very educational but also fun meeting other mums and bubs who are in the same boat, navigating the new world of motherhood.
It would be really great if the new Labor government, who are all about having a fair go, would work with the Salvos to replicate this in other centres too, so that mums in other areas could also have a fair go, and have access to this kind of education at no cost.
I’m so grateful to Kim and Lindsay at the Balga Child Health Centre. They provide excellent support to new parents and we wouldn’t have survived those bleary first few weeks with our daughter without their guidance and confidence they instilled in us.
Beyond that, the centre goes over and above my wildest expectations by facilitating fantastic additional activities and groups. In addition to connecting me to a parenting group of gorgeous mothers and their babies, they host playgroups, baby massage sessions, first aid courses and heaps more. I always eagerly await the release of their monthly calendar to see what brilliant things they have in store.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you bring to our community, Balga Child Heath Centre ️
I’m so thankful for both Kim and Lindsay. They provide so much support with vast amounts of knowledge.
The activities and services provided have allowed me to connect with other parents and have the ability to learn new skills and become the best mother I can be.
The knowledge supporting my micro prem has been amazing and I’m so thankful for their service!
The Balga Salvos Child Health Centre has exceeded my expectations. The Child Health Nurses are caring, informative, non-judgemental and do not cause unnecessary concern. They also provide a range of additional programs, many of which are free of charge. I have participated in the Parent Group, Infant Massage, Child First Aid and Baby Sensory Classes and have enjoyed all.
