Balga Friday Market reviews
13Anazing volunteers, lots of great deals on clothes, bags, and fresh produce, and very welcoming atmosphere.can't recommend enough
As a seller, it's like watching paint dry. The second star is for the organisers who are lovely. Oh and I had an expensive item stolen which I could prove but the police refused to follow up, typical. Never been back, never will
Great for fruits, vegetables, plants and multicultural dress. Swap meet bric-a-brac as expected.
I love a market! This one was good, but could've improved the variety of things that were sold. Would have loved some more second hand goods.
If you don't have cash to spend on the items here, you will need to use the ATM which still charges you a fee of $2.50 until that system is scrapped by most banks
This is not the best market to go to. A lot of the stuff sold comes accross as possibly not useful to the last person that owned.
The good news is that. If you're patient enough and thouroughly look, you will find a gem or more.
I've been able to purchase a TV here and my only disappointment is the old man that had a white van packed with second hand guitars. He sold me one that was not working and lied to me that he would be there every Friday. He took my money and I have not seen him ever since: (
He said I'd find him there every Friday. This is almost two months ago now: (
This is a very BAD market i was there and had a dispute with a nother stall holder witch he per hit me and assulted me and max turned a blind eye and instead of talking to me i was treated like poop and i did not even fight back its a violent market i dont recomend it to any body

It had been years since I had visited the Balga markets so I decided to go there was stall after stall it just kept going and I was lucky enough to find many bargain s I stayed about two hours on the way out I spotted some cactus plants which I was thrilled to bits with and the price was so cheap I will be going again next week so why not visit there and support the local community and grab a bargain or two
Below average compare to some markets around, mostly second hand stuff that aren't so great. Fresh fruit and plenty of asian veggie that you won't find at the shop though.
Try to get a close parking spot as you wont leabe empty handed
Always a bargain to be found and lots of plants for the keen gardener
Definitely not for a bargin hunter. Lots of new cheap asian products. Some fresh fruit and veg, not worth the drive for second hand goods.
For a gold coin donation you can enjoy a variety of stalls at this market. Refreshments are on sale from the brick building. Great morning out on a budget!
