Baden Powell campground reviews
64 Love camping here
It’s absolutely stunning & dog friendly. Took my beagle and she loved it, sniff all the things!
You can find a walking trail or a patch of river to yourself easy enough. The campsites have picnic tables and are not on top of each other. It has camp kitchens & drop toilets that are regularly maintained and in good condition. All the views are breathtaking, it’s a beautiful escape from the city.
Most awesome camping off grid, long drop toilet no power, no screens for the kids and they didn't even notice. Fantastic swimming-canoeing. And the weather was spot on.
Great place to camp. Can get a little crowded if someone wants to be loud, not sure if anyone is keeping people quiet or managed.
Sites are quite large, managed to fit a 10p and 5p tent on one site.
Beautiful place surrounded by trees. The pit-toilets were very clean and well kept despite it being a long weekend. You can see others camping around you but theres enough space between each block. Bring your water to brush teeth and wash hands and stuff cuz the river is a bit of a trail from the location.
Wonderful location, waking up between the big trees is just magnificent. The river is close by for a swim and all facilities are in good nick. We will be back!
Fantastic place to camp as long as you are prepared to supply your own water and power. Very peaceful place. Taking a UV torch out with you at night on your way to the bush loo's will acquaint you with tiny glowing scorpions. They hang out in the leaf litter that borders the paths.this makes for a good little nighttime adventure if you like that kind of thing.
Beautiful camp site, nice to chill out, close to river, no shower but river is less than 100m, no flush toilet, no power but rest all was convenient and privacy.
Big camp grounds in a pine plantation.
Some camp site are close together, some are further away - book those ones!
Sometimes your car will be parked far away from your campsite, that can be annoying, long walks to the car for that second carton of beer.
Overall clean and tidy camp sites, lovely location.
There's no parking on the camp site, you have an assigned parking spot and have to carry your stuff to the site, not the end of the world for us.
This is hands down the loudest/feral camp site we have camped across Australia though.
If you love feral kids and loud music, this place is for you.
Whether we were just unlucky with timing or this is the usual, who knows.
Really enjoyed our weekend here at Baden Powell!
The campsites are lovely and each have a bench and fire pit with parking bays at the road edge too.
There are many toilet blocks around and they are kept clean and have plenty of toilet paper.
The BBQ outdoor kitchen areas are also tidy and very schmick. Plenty of bench space and seating area with sinks to wash up. The water is rainwater but not for drinking (unless you boil it or something)
There are also big bins around to get rid of your rubbish
There are lots of walks around and just subject a lovely nature area!
Dogs are also allowed which is cool. Keep them on a lead is the rule but how nice to have your furry mate along:)
Definitely on the list of places to come back to!
You need to BOOK YOUR SITE IN ADVANCE. ️
Lovely camp ground close to the river, great for a weekend away and close to some good 4x4 tracks
Campsites are 15-20 metres from parking destinations not very convenient for a self contained campsite as difficult to run power from the vehicle to camp site clean and quite tho and ability of a fire is great but once the sun drops off you have to rely on head lamp and torches
Ahhhh relaxing.beautiful in Summer? A lot of March flies? Even better in winter when you can sit around the fire toasting marshmallows and having a few stiff drinks.
Lovely place to get away from the city,
Birds all around you. Be aware of sneaky ones as they stop by on you dinner table:)
Clean and enough space around you qland neighbours.
Unforutnaly a grpup of young people did not respect others and played loud music all night long: (
No rangers around that night, informed them on the way out.
Really nice camp ground. Tent sites were well separated, parking was near the plot and there was a decent kitchen with barbecues. The long drop toilets were not smelly at all. Only word of warning is that at the end of January when we went, there was no water left to wash dishes from the rain tanks.
Great spot for a day trip, camp grounds are also nicely set up. It is very crowded on long weekends.
Great camp spot amongst the tall trees with all facilities such as free bbqs, gazebos with sinks supplied by tank water.not for drinking.the only probem is only 5 caravan sites.
Always so much fun. Great place to go for a swim and take the puppy for a swim. Been coming here since i was little love it!
Stayed for 2 nights few weeks before.one of the best place around perth to visit with family into the wood.
Would love DPAW to fix their website booking issues. Nice spot and close to the day use area but half the campsite empty despite being 'fully booked' on the website
