Awaken Chiropractic Applecross

I started with Awaken chiropractic 4 months ago and in this short time my life has changed so much. There were many sleepless nights caused by my low-mid back pain which really had an effect on my overall well-being and joy. Since I committed to the chiro 2-3 times a week for the past 4 months, I have been able to enjoy both work and gym pain free. Thanks to Blake, Steve and the team for providing such excellent care and service.

Awaken Chiropractic has really changed my life. I suffered some severe migraines as well as serious back and neck pain for the past 5 or so years. I never thought of trying chiro as a form of treatment for these issues but so incredibly grateful that I did!

At awaken they found I had phase 1 subluxation in my neck and scoliosis, which neither Physiotherapists or Doctors told me after years of searching for answers due to the horrible pain I was experiencing which severely affected my quality of life.

After 3 weeks of treatment I have seriously never felt better. I went from having headaches/migraines 3/4 times a week to not having a single one in the past two weeks. My back and neck pain has also eased immensely. I still have a long way to go with treatment but I Can’t thank the awaken team enough for what they have done for me so far!

I have been attending Awaken Chiropractic for the last 2yrs. When I started with them I was experiencing extreme tingling down my right arm and constant neck and back pain. Since seeing them I have felt so much better and no longer have any form of tingling down my arm.

Thirty five years ago I was in a series of accidents, and with the work choices I made in my life, this left me in, not constant pain, but it was there to bite me when I never expected it. The years of no sleeping didn't help me through the pins and needles and numbness in my arms and hands.
From the first visit to now, 10 months later, has been an amazing transformation, sleeping though the night. I am now working with little to no pain. It all has been an a huge journey. Not the best experience. Had an X-ray, assessment and asked about my “goals”…. (life coach or chiropractor). Was advised treatment for a year, starting at 3 times a week and gradually decreasing. I calculated this at $10K+, totally unaffordable for me. I was told we’d have to decrease my “goals”. All of this would be fine, if I hadn’t heard the EXACT same assessment being told to different patients in the next room on the 4 occasions I was there. Also wouldn’t give me a copy of my scans to see someone else. Just meh.

I had the back pain and pain in the leg from last 12 years, my life was just stopped coz i used to spend the day in group play games, but now from last 4 months I start living my life, back to normal as 12 years before, big thanks to AWAKEN.

I’m so greatful for the change that I’ve received in my body from dr Blake and Dr Steve. Back in January 2022 I was experiencing so many symptoms which came on very suddenly such as reflux / indigestion to the point I could barely eat. I had lost 8kg in 6 weeks and was extremely fatigued and couldn’t get out of bed and was unable to work. I came to awaken for a consultation and dr Blake explained to me after reviewing a X-ray of my spine where he could potentially help. After as few as 5 adjustments I began eating again and all my symptoms went away. I’m back working and living my life, going on weekend hikes and feeling back to myself! It’s April now and I’m sticking to the rest of my plan with awaken to see how I can further take back power of my health! I recommend awaken to everyone.

I walked into my first appointment at Awaken and as I sat in the waiting room (trying to get the sterotypical thought of a chiropractor and what I will receive as treatment - just click and realign my spine) I kept an open mind and hoped what i read about the services I would get.
Well, i was far from dissapointed. Dr Blake gave an in dept knowledge session on the spine and how it affects all different ailments when not in alignment.
I suffer from fatigue, pre diabetic, and constant headaches/migraines. Over my 4 months of care the improvement has been substantial. Dr Blake and Dr Steve mid way tgrough my treatment decided to use different techniques to get the desired results as the techniques before were not giving them the progress they wanted to see. I was so happy and took on their advice, did their at home exercises and stretches and with their magical work i am feeling 85% better than when i first walked in.
Their holistic approach and incorporation of health education has been an incredible education journey and knowing that what i was going through is not 'normal'. I am now on my path to feeling normal.

I started with Dr Blake about 5 months ago as a result of continuing to injure my neck and feeling stiffness and pain when I exercised. Having never seen a Chiropractor I booked in with Dr Blake after being recommended his quality service and expertise. It’s been a very positive experience with both himself, his team and Dr Steve. I’m much more aware of my spine and daily habits that can help or hinder my body. My movement and mobility has improved, my pain and stiffness has reduced dramatically and I now have exercises to use to improve my overall physical health!

Dr Blake and his team were excellent at fitting me in fast and helping me with my pain. The initial consultation was very thorough, you feel like you are in excellent hands as soon as you walk through the door.

I can't rate Awaken Chiropractic highly enough. A great team of people who genuinely care for their patients health and well-being. I began adjustments having experienced years of lower back pain and other issues. X-rays showed I didn't have quite the natural curve in my neck that I should have and had the beginning of some bone spurring. After only 3 months of treatment, with Dr Blake, my X-rays showed great improvement (see photo) and my lower back pain and other issues were completely gone.

Couldn't recommend Dr Blake or the team at Awaken Chiropractor enough! What initially was lower back flare up lead to a problem with my upper spine and neck being identified. Which made sense as I am office based and spend a large portion of my day at a desk and I do tend to train a few times a week also. Also after seeing Dr Blake for 6 months I noticed the difference with the muscles in upper back significantly looser. Below I have included a before and after shot of what my upper spine looked like prior to making contact with Awaken Chiropractic.

My experience at Awaken Chiropractic has been nothing but exceptional. I went in over 10 months ago and my lifestyle has completely changed thanks to Dr Blake and his team. My spinal health has dramatically improved and as a result has improved many other aspects of my lifestyle. Dr Steve cares about achieving outcomes - I love his high accountability process where he makes a clear plan based on where I am now and what my body requires then tailors his techniques to focus on what my body responds best to and measures progress as we go. Blake and his awesome team have been instrumental in changing the lives of mine and my wife for the better. Before being in Blake's care, we both suffered from frequent headaches, neck pain and aching joints. Those ailments are a thing of the past and our weekly adjustments ensure we continue on the right path. We can't recommend Blake and his team any higher if a quality lifestyle of painless movement is your main aim.

It's amazing working with Blake towards a better health. I had a stressful workplace and constantly having headaches, but after a couple of weeks of lifestyle changes and adjustment at his practice, the results is amazing. Now I couldn't remember when I had a headache since.

Before I started seeing Blake and the wonderful team at Awaken, I was relying on pain killers up to 3 to 4 times a week to cover up my back pain. I'm now coming up to my 4th week and can say that I have not taken a single pill since starting treatment.
I also use to get severe Sciatic pains several times a week, since I started treatment I have only had that pain once in four weeks.
