Avon Valley Beef reviews
21Pretty disgusted to walk in with my two young boys to both workers smoking right at the front door. Not a good impression
Grabbed a meat pack on the weekend has been frozen long enough to get freezer burnnot gonna say they put water in the meat but as. A chef that was a lot of liquids come from the steaks more than I usually get when cooking the hundreds I’ve cooked.lastly weight should be the weight of the meat not of the packaging everything was 100-150 grams under weight
Avon Valley meats are always off. I buy from IGA no matter what meat it is, pork, chicken or beef its off. Why is this?
Bought a marrow bone from here thought it was vacuum sealed because it was dated till December? It was wrapped in half a mile of plastic as well, got home and was just ok any longer and would have gone off.
The meat and products are good and mainly grass fed, so better for consumption than grain fed produce.
Meat is cheap enough but who ever the butcher is has no idea what they are doing unless they are intentionally making a mess out of the meat then mislabeling it. Stay away from their meat packs I got one and half wasn’t vacuum sealed properly so it was already off and they tried to pass 1kg of topside off as porterhouse steak. If your broke and don’t care about quality and freshness then it’s is ideal for you I guess.
Purchased 2 avalon beef stir fry beef from local IGA, turns out need over 3 hours to get it tender.wowww.not happy chap. Stir fry beef shouldn't be this long to make it tender.
Just bought some pork chops, from IGA, for dinner tonight, but when I opened them up I notice that there was a very strong and foul smell coming from the pork chops. Had to throw them in the bin
Love avon Valley meat the shop is like a supermarket lots of variety decent prices great service
I have been coming here for years to buy steak.
The last time I went there, I bought T_bone steaks for dinner.when I opened it to cook for dinner its smell really bad, I have to throw it in the bin.
How can you sale products out of quality to customer.
Great assortment of seltion for everyone, plenty of meat for having barbecues.or large party functions, they have stock beef lamb pork
What has happened to this Meat Giant. Malaga store closed, so took a drive to Midland, What a waste of time its lacking cleanliness an general customer service.no great buys, very pricey so sadly walked out with nothing.
A vast selection of all kinds of fresh meat, some frozen meats and frozen sea foods! Prices excellent.taste is superb! Well worth a visit for your next "shop"
If a top notch BBQ is on the cards or you want a slab of Aussie grown sheep or cow then this is the place. Their beef patties are great too. Frozen fish galore. Even dogs for the bone. Friendly and helpful staff.
Purchased marinated sirlion last saturday for a dibner party and the meat was off, greeb in the middle, the small pieces we ate gave us all stomach upsets, vomiting and diarrhoea. Never afain

I have been coming here for years. The past couple of times it hasn't been up to standard.brought a chicken brought recently.was meant to be used 2 days after the day we brought it.opened it and the smell of the chicken was off.
Have been buying meat from Avon Valley for years, in particular the whole Scotch Fillet.
The quality was always very good.
The business changed hands a few years ago and I regret the standard and quality, as well as availability of product has diminished. The packaging is very important for maintaining the products and I have noted a lessening of the standard of packing.
Where I could always get 2-3 Scotch Fillet packs, in the last 4 visits to Malaga, have only been able to buy it once, (2 packs,)
I introduced a friend to the business: - he purchased a whole Scotch Fillet and was very disappointed with the quality. Persuaded him to try again, same result. H e refuses to go back.
Have noticed Avon Valley are now supplying some supermarkets with “economy” or lower priced product and suspect the overall quality of beef has diminished as I have also found the quality to have diminished.
Can understand why they may take this approach, but to retain older customers, or those who can distinguish quality, standards should be maintained, even if a reduced quantity of b enter grade product, eg can grade product as economy, standard or prime and price accordingly.
The old owners also supported charity groups, from what I can gather, the new owners do not.
I hope the owners will pay some credence to my comments and act to rectify standards.
I would love to keep supporting the business, (and have spent $000’s there,) but my patience is running thin.
Will head up there now and hope to come away with some quality product.
My husband wants to know what you've done to your boerewors? It's terrible. New recipe/supplier? Whatever you've done, go back to the original.
This place has the best red meat in Midland. I used to get beef/pork from the supermarkets all the time and by chance tried this once. The beef especially is much much better than the ones at Coles/Woolworths/IGA.
Always quiet and good service - have also noticed that there is few choice to buy in bulk as well. Great little hidden gem.
