16 Upon paying for the truck, a guy showed me around the truck.
Just as he was handing me the keys, he mentions that one of the rear doors does not latch to frame of the truck when opened so someone might have to hold it.
Well, he was right - it did need someone holding it at all times. Which made packing the truck tricky because my partner had to hold the door against the frame the entire time.
We tried to tape it, didn’t work. And the loading zone out front of our apartment building is quite small with a busy road just beside it, with a cycling lane between the two.
It swung open wildly at the slightest breeze, so the entire day was one person holding the door closed while the other loaded boxes.
Insane to pay $334 for a truck that is faulty and adds time and frustration to a moving process.

Only thing was everything was’greasy’ the floor and the sack truck, and dirt had stuck to it!
This is my second time using Avis, love them. Staff are very friendly, everything was quick and easy. Good pricing too, cars are very reliable.
0 out of 5 wasn’t an option so had to give 1 out of 5.1. I hired a car at the Fremantle avis branch. They gave me a car that hadn’t been cleaned. Covered in dog hair.
2. Tried to get a refund to which they agreed at the time.
3.2 weeks later, still haven’t received refund.
4. Tried for 3 days to get in contact them by calling and emailing. Never was able to reach anyone.
5. Eventually had to go into the branch to sort this out only to find out that the refund bounced back to their account and they just weren’t too concerned about telling me.
The initial vehicle had a broken mirror and I had to swap.
On returning the car on the afternoon of the 2nd of Jan the yard was full and the office unmanned. I was the fourth customer to end up pulling the car on the sidewalk and leaving the keys in the dropbox. We all hope we are not going to end up with parking fines
Got a great price on a vehicle for over the Christmas period by returning to Avis Fremantle. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Can definitely recommend!

Ordered a small SUV online a few months before our trip to Perth, collected the car from Fremantle depot. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Returned the car 10 days later without any problems.

Hired a truck for moving house, friendly staff that resolved a leak issue on the tailgate of the truck, with no fuss. The truck can be driven on a standard C class licence. Handy location in Fremantle with a service station across the road to refill the tank on return. I will use their service again if required in the future

Misconduct with their account keeper. Without any communication money from my account was taken, and I only signed an authorization of this for the event of an accident. Recovering the funds is difficult! The way they took money was by logging an incorrect date of the vehicle return and saying I had to pay for extra hire. I have record on when it was returned as I had a co driver/witness with me!
Nice people but woefully understaffed. It's covid times but still, the owner of this business needs to do better. Have been waiting 40 mins to get paperwork done and even after that the car is not ready. Not the first time it's taken a long time at Avis. Avis it's not about how cheap you are it's about the value.
Rocked up to Avis Fremantle to collect my rental, be aware they don’t not accept your digital credit card, will be unwilling to help in anyway, basically to bad too sad. Not good enough, join the tech age Avis
Great service. On the return day, I couldn't get my car back from the repairer until the next day and they allowed me to keep the hire car until the next morning without charge.
Service from these two guys was above and beyond. Attended to our every need without hesitation thank you from the two of us. Can only highly recommend visiting here.
Booked a car for pickup at 10am on a Sun. Arrived just after the allotted time to find the place locked up. Either you need to be around after 10am to cater for the 10am booking, or else don’t accept a booking under false pretences!
Not a right place to have a rental car branch, no proper AVIS sign, drive 3 times in the street to find them. No car park. Was the first and last time for me.
