Best customer service I’ve ever encountered. Matt was brilliant and very helpful. Ease of booking via the app, pick up the rental at location and even an after hours box to drop off keys

Not very good.
I needed a car at short notice.
They supplied me with a 6-cylinder fuel guzzler saying this was all they had. (I later saw plenty of smaller cars at the back).
The windows were dirty, and the car was high tech with no instruction book. I had to ask how to start it and later had trouble figuring out how to use things like the cruise control and electric seat adjustment. I never found out how to turn on the GPS.
Not recommended.

The Avis response implies they didn't have anything other than a 6-cyclinder car available. BS! - when I returned the car 2 days later I looked round the back and saw plenty of cheaper 4-cylinder compacts. I've deducted one star for
the "inaccuracy".

Their prices are significantly lower than Avis at Perth airport or CBD, so it pays to take a taxi to Welshpool unless you rent for just a day or two. The car we booked (Koleos SUV) had one tyre of a brand different than the other 3, and its tread wear indicator reached the surface - probably the original tyre had been punctured and replaced with a free worn tyre thrown away, which would not pass inspection, is dangerous, absolutely not acceptable to let a vehicle out in this condition. It is unclear who is responsible for this, probably the Avis group in charge of maintenance rather than the Welshpool agent? However the agent provided another car right away, a 4x4 X-Trail upgrade at no extra charge, and we really appreciated the extra features and capabilities of this vehicle. Also they refunded us the $20 we had to spend to refill the wiper blades with new rubber, as they were so worn they did not wipe anything. Hmm clearly there is a lack of attention in the maintenance chain somewhere, but considering the excellent initial price and the upgrade it is still a very positive experience.

Outstanding customer service and vehicle quality. I would not hesitate to put them first when I next hire a vehicle.

Poorly Managed - clearly no interest in operating a successful business. I was told when I first rang that the vehicle I needed for the next day was available however i didnt book it there and then because I had to make sure I had other arrangements in place first before I went ahead with the booking. I tried calling 3 separate times after that to make the booking each 1 hour apart - every single phone call was picked up and immediately hung up. I eventually reached the central call centre to which on 2 separate phone calls I was told the Welshpool office isn't picking up at that time when the AVIS call centre were trying to reach them and that they have sent my details through and someone will be intouch within the hour from the welshpool office. I waited an hour with no call back, I called back, same deal, pick up then hang up, when i called right back it diverted me to the central call centre again where i raised another ticket, they told me the same thing that someone would call me back - another hour went by, still no call only this time when I called again an automated voice recording stated the office is now closed for the day. I needed the vehicle for early next morning - I've decided to go with another rental company who were actually reliable with being contactable and happy to assist.

Great range of cars. Great prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended

Poorly managed I have booked online.when I went they have charged $577 when i was supposed to be charged $211. They didnt say me anything untill I have called them and after I was able to contact them they have said I would be refunded within 10 business days which still didnt happen.to sum up poor communication.

The manager, Brad and his team at Avis in Welshpool are always so efficient, brilliant customer service and professional. Highly recommended, it's not far from the airports and well worth the effort going offsite!

Got told we could hire a car with a p plate driver, orded an uber to the store only to find out that wasn't the case. The staff on desk was apologetic and helped us find another option.

The lady at the front was very rud when I return the car telling me I didn't too up the car in full very bad

The first time was really good very nice guy. The second time back had a different person and she was just going through the motions. Handed me the paper and I said is that it, she said yes.

Got a 12 seater from here couple of days back. Good vehicle and overall good service. The place is close to bus route if you need to travel back to city after dropping off a vehicle.
