Australind Tourist Park reviews
27Stayed here a couple of times now in the chalets, clean, quiet and fully equipped. Nicely located for walks or rides along the estuary or river.
We had booked 4 nights but only stayed two. The estuary view site we had was more than incredibly noisy all the time, day and night. It was not the quiet and relaxing stay we were hoping for.
Worst caravan park stay ever. When I called to book they said there was only one spot left near the laundry. I thought brilliant! But it was actually near a kids playground and the campers kitchen who had very disrespectful guests partying loud until midnight every night. I had to be up early every morning so this was very inconvenient and annoying. Quiet time is at 10pm. If I had know it was near the kids playground and campers kitchen I would have said no. Also the smallest spot i have ever gotten and for $40 a night. It was a tight squeeze in between a pole and table and chairs. There was kids consistently leaving their bikes in my camp area lucky I didn’t run them over. The bathrooms are cleanish but need to be cleaned every day
We were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful views of the bush from the stoep of our unit. The bush came alive after sunset and we saw kangaroos, brushtail possums etc. Not all units have this view. The unit had a very nice, kind of "old-fashioned" holiday feel to it. The unit has a pretty good kitchen in the open area, with aircon. We definitely want to go back!
Stayed in caravan park, visiting from the UK. Friendly staff and very clean facilities. Nice pub and Chinese 5 minutes walk.
The small chalet was wonderfully relaxing and thoughtfully presented. Linen was like new. The kitchen supplies were just perfect.
Thank you Australind Team!
This post is on behalf of an elderly lady who stayed recently. I would like to share her experience.
She made the booking for 2 nights in advance via telephone call and informed the receptionist that a disability would not allow her to safely use steps.
On arrival unfortunately due to a family member having covid, arrangements had to be changed to 1 night.
On arrival at reception to inform manager of a change in circumstances (covid) she was told that another room was needed due to 1 night stay. The elderly lady again voiced her concers at not being able to manage steps and was reassured that this would not be a problem!
When she got to her room there was large limestone steps without rails and then 5 steps up to the room,
A complete stranger saw the difficulties this lady was having and helped to gather luggage and put in her room.
Leaving the room with steep narrow steps presented a lot more difficulty as well as the limestone steps without hand railing!
The fear of falling meant she had to park her car precariously across the limestone steps and place hands on the bonnet to sort of crawl down.
Does this facility cater for disabilities?
If not why didn't the receptionist say so?
The lady in her 80's now has returned back home with a very bad shoulder from her stay!
She really wants to stay there again but will not be able to if there in no assurance that there is provisions for people in her situation.
If you want your personal credit card details processed illegally this is the place to stay. Staff were advised on the 24th August 2022 (within 8 hrs of the transaction) regarding a cc payment of $875 that was unauthorised from a Sydney Credit card. They were also advised not to process the payment and confront the lady staying in the room for a further 6 nights for correct payment. When police came to investigate there just so happened there was not security footage and sign in details. Very convenient.
Must have been a slow week.
We found the staff very helpful and one of the maintenance men assisted when I had an issue with my jack clamp. Nothing seemed too much for them. The cost was good value for money. Although ablution block was older it is freshly painted and clean. GreT view across the estuary. Well done.
Not a bad caravan park, staff were super friendly and accommodating, yes it’s a tad old but had everything we needed. Amazing water views but just bring earplugs because the road is loud day and night, woke me up constantly. Overall I would recommend
Stayed in caravan park for 1 night. A bit overpriced $38 for a very small tight site, right next to the main road, with no room to let the dog do his business.
Great management and great nature people surrounding are great close to water shops and other amenities.
Although the ablution block is very dated and could use some TLC we enjoyed our stay here. They are pet friendly and close to several areas suitable for exercising the furry travellers.
A great location for accessing shops and businesses in Bunbury, Eaton or Treendale. Car wash is also nearby. Reasonable rates too.
Pretty alright for accommodation. Close to everywhere. Do not go to the Chinese restaurant next door. Guarantee diarrhoea. Pub is bad as well.
Nice site.lots of permanents didn't bother me nor road noise. For value recommend. If you're a up market PLENTY of money person nomad half your luck then off to your 5 star.
We have stayed a number of of times and had a nice grassy bay overlooking the estuary. Ablutions block dated but always clean. Great camp kitchen and BBQ area. Staff are all lovely and helpful. Basic and reasonably priced.
This place is Not for me, very very noisy road, late into the night and very early morning, within a few metres of caravans.
Yet another caravan where people make noise after 1130 at night and before 0700 in the morning.
Toilet block needs a serious upgrade.
Pleasant staff in the office.
All in all what you pay is what you get!
They were totally booked. They gave us an overfloe site. Wouldn't say it was a good site but we got one at least.
Well kept park kichen and bbqs well equiped gardens kept good Estuary at front and bush at back.enjoyed our stay.recomened
Recent upgrades have lifted this place.
Convenience nearby at petrol station and river for fishing & water activities.
Also has a great playground with another very nearby.
