Screen looks very nice and solid.
So far no complaints, however there are a lot of “staining stripes” on the screen. Is this grease? What should I do to remove it?
Maybe it is better someone from your company comes and have a look at it before I’ll try to clean itI. I’ll add some pictures.

Refused to book a consultation because my husband couldn’t attend with me, even though I said 4 times that he leaves these things to me and I make house Reno decisions. This is 2024! Women are empowered to have consultations about house decor without permission or having their partner present! This would have been a job worth thousands of dollars turned down because of sex discrimination

Be careful, very pushy sales. I found a free installation artificial lawn promotion on IG, but when the salesperson came for the measurement, I got most highest price so far!
This person called to the manager multiple times to adjust the price, sounds very odd!
Took me almost 2 hours to get a quote!
I don’t recommend this company…

Met with Jamal and Bhaskar, both were very professional and listened to what we wanted to achieve. Both offered a number of suggestions to help get the design that we wanted.

I am very disappointed that in the year 2023, I was unable to book an appointment for a designer to come and do a measure and quote unless my husband was also present.

I made an enquiry online and received a call shortly after to discuss our artificial lawn installation project. I found it strange that during the call I was asked if I was married and then asked to provide my husband’s details.

I was then completely shocked when I was asked to advise a time we would both be home to meet with the designer. When I explained that I am the one looking after the project, as I have been with all of our renovations to date, I was told it was important to have him there as well due to the technical nature of the discussion and he might think of questions I didn’t think to ask. I was absolutely gobsmacked and so offended and assured her it wasn’t necessary for him to be at the appointment.

She still wouldn’t make the appointment and instead said she would need to get some advice from the design team about my project and that she would call me back. I received no call back and this was over a week ago.

By the looks of these other reviews I have clearly dodged a bullet and I look forward to engaging a company who do not treat women like it is still the 1950s.

Very disappointing if this is standard company practice.

Review update.
My first experience was, to be frank, not good.
But by keeping the communication pathway open and Australian Outdoor Living reaching out to me the issues have been resolved.

We have had a re-set.

Absolutely terrible customer service.
The area manager didn't call us back 4 times.each time the reception said he would call us back.not mentioning names Josh!
Never called once. Made an appointment 3 weeks before. Waited 5pm. 530.nothing. No person showed up. You lost 30,000. Stratco was more reliable I'll tell everyone not to use this company

Dan was awesome. He arrived when he said he would and ensured his team did a great job. Dan gets 5 stars, but overall we can only give a 4 star score as things did not always go smoothly when dealing with everyone else. We decided to go with AOL so that we could get everything done by the one company and didn't have to chase up separate suppliers. Rather than having
1 person overlooking our total project of deck, patio, outdoor kitchen and blinds, we had to deal with different people and the lack of internal communication was evident as we had to chase things up. We are happy with the work so far and really enjoyed our first meal cooked in our new outdoor kitchen. We are just waiting for some minor painting overspray to be rectified and the blinds to be installed. The experience would have been better if we had one point of contact who would have kept us regularly informed.

We just had our back your artificial grassed and it looks amazing.
The entire service from first contact to quote to install was amazing. All staff so polite and helpful and all work done to an amazing standard.

We would like to share our thoughts after our first meeting with Jamal. He visited our home in Burns Beach to quote on enclosing our patio. Jamal was friendly, informative and importantly, very pleasant throughout the process of negotiating a suitable product at a competitive price. The experience left us feeling very secure in agreeing to purchase. Jamal left us with a wonderful thank you for making him feel comfortable and welcome in our new home. Really poor Sales process. Really pushy, like timeshare sales. Made out that the deal was amazing and wanted us to sign the contract there and then before I had another quote. I got a quote the next day from a competitor which was $2k Cheaper.

Very poor communication between us and the contractors. Dates where changed multiple times without our knowledge Poor customer service communication. I constantly had to keep calling to know when the date for fake grass installation would be.

Communication very poor, Our job, aetificial lawn, was delayed twice due to "layers not available" so they say! Very quick to take money but poor in returning phone calls.

Read before signing up!

Latest update: After being promised a callback by general manager Jason several times and hearing nothing, we had to continually call daily wait on hold and keep calling back throughout the day to finally catch him. On Monday the 28th at 4: 29pm we finally caught him and were promised a refund and that they would terminate the contract after our several issues. He said he couldn’t process it right now but promised to call us back on Monday the 28th to do so. We had no contact on Monday nor the entire week from Jason despite his promise. We have tried calling the offices several times and Jason is conveniently always on a forklift and unable to speak. Despite leaving messages on each of these occasions for him to call us back he has still yet to make any contact. Very disappointing service from everyone in WA. Standards have plummeted in the last 4 years.

Latest update: Izzy who replies to the reviews on here collected my details but failed to have anyone reach out to me.

The manager Cindy sent out a new installer, better customer service but the product was still faulty and has oil stains. She has stated that they cannot refund me, declined my request for a cost breakdown, and would like me to wait another 2 weeks for new blinds to be made AGAIN. Have requested a full refund but it looks like we may have to go through consumer protection. Absolute nightmare of a purchase and I would recommend no one ever purchase through this company again.

Initial review:
Return customer to this company after a pleasant experience the first time. That was clearly a mistake as there seems to be no consistency in customer experience at this company.

The installers did not listen to any of the install instructions, installed without cementing the attachments to the floor, and also installed the winder on the opposite side than instructed on quote. They didn’t have all the parts necessary to complete installation when they arrived so after taking time off to be there it was all for nothing as they had to come back out again to attach the chain.

On the second visit they gave no prior warning and just showed up and were quite rude to her I had to ask them to wait for me to let them in as I was in the middle of a work meeting. The blinds they installed were also stained and so once again someone will need to come out to replace them.

The flooring has also all started to come up where they had attached the blinds as it was not cemented properly causing damage to my paving and risk of collapse of my patio from the wind blowing it when not attached properly. Very dangerous.

On each of these visits the installers had no customer service, no greeting, no friendliness, seemed angry at their job and at the world. I would never hire those installers to represent a company of mine.

After contacting them to rectify these issues and inform them of the installers poor work and attitude, they still insisted on these same people coming back out to finish the job they had not done the first two times. To get a new hopefully decent installer I need to wait another month which I am going to have to do because I can only imagine the attitude of the installers on a third visit.

There was no compensation offered for the damage, unnecessarily missed work time and the lack of professionalism on this install when my feedback was provided. If I billed them for time wasted there would be no install charge. Completely poor experience and I would never use this company again and will be recommending everyone go somewhere else to avoid the disappointment I have experienced. If management would like to contact me to rectify this situation or post an update on this please do.

We ordered our outdoor kitchen through them, once the contract was signed it’s like they forgot about us.
Promised we would get the kitchen installed by first week of December, having to chase them up so many times and they still can’t give an exact date.
Last time I got a response from them, they said it would be mid December and now it’s mid December- everytime I call the office, the site manager is out and never gets back to me as “promised” by the receptionists/managers.
This is poor customer service, wished we did our research first to see the real reviews which sounds very similar to our experience.
If I could give 0 star, I would.
Never have I had to chase things up like that, they truly don’t care about their clientele.

Nine month dispute resolved - Weeds everywhere, should've just fixed the issues, updating June 2022

Resolved a dispute which was in the 9th month with the Wangara branch.

Apr-20
Kuchel Enterprises t/a Australian Outdoor Living has been ordered by the DMIRS to fix the many issues with the turf install and accepted the proposed order. I've got new pics to show that they can't even fix things up and I've contacted them to come out multiple times. A whole large skip bin was needed to remove excess dirt.

Mar-20
After sending a counter offer to AOL with no response we have now received a proposed order to remedy the defects with our install. DMIRS has acknowledged the many building/structural defects of this installation.

Feb-20
Sent the report to DMIRS and received a response from the GM who lied throughout the report and is trying to be blameless for the issues. Disgusting and unprofessional behaviour not deserving of $14000. They keep defending their shoddy work instead of trying to offer a proper repair! Uploaded more pics from the report I've recently received showing basic construction defects which they should've known about (their install blocked weeping holes because they didn't dig deep enough!).

Jan-20
Received a report from a building inspector with dispute experience. Key points that stuck out concern blocked weeping holes, slanted turf towards the house, and the turf being at least an inch higher than the drainage pipes. Report and costs have been submitted. Hoping this is resolved soon, this dispute has been going for half a year!

Dec-19
Speaking with a DMIRS rep. Place and compact minimum 50 mm cement stabilised crusher dust as bedding layer'. I've uploaded a picture about this just now too but it's too obvious to see that the excavation was not enough (they had to come back to dig under the turf so I could access my hot water system door as well). This isn't acceptable and is not the job or service I had paid for.

Nov-19
AOL has refused to return and correct the issues with the install. Building Commissioner will be contacted and legal action may be taken. They've already sent another team to fix some issues but only a couple which I mentioned (which did a band aid but didn't fix the issues). The incompetence and lack of attention is unacceptable.

Oct-19
Receiving a report stating that industry standards weren't met. Consumer protection will be contacted this week. Barely any contact from AOL but from reading through their reviews it's a mixed bunch, I wish I was one of the happy stories but who knows how long those installs lasted.

Formal complaints, following ACCC's path. Installer threatened me saying if I don't pay now then they're coming back to rip out the turf! AOL TOLD ME NOT TO PAY UNTIL THE PLUMBER COSTS WERE REIMBURSED!

Good sale, bad install. Turf looks of good quality but on the way the Telstra line was cut (confirmed no-one dialled before digging), drains were filled with crusher dust (confirmed by from everyone viewing it after they broke the sewer inspection pipe, got a plumber's report), and when they were finished they left all the rocks on the driveway, as if no-one uses a driveway?

Made an appointment to get a quote, for artificial grass, waited for the person to come but they never came, called the company again to double check if they are coming and said that they did come and knocked but i have been waiting for 1 hr and they were never at the front, never bothered to call me but said they called the secondary number, who would call a secondary number when i have given them a primary number which they called in the morning and i did picked up and confirm the time again. The guy name Josh over the phone was not apologetic at all when asked if can book again he seemed to not be bothered with it so i ended the call. Honestly 1 star is already too nice to give. Take your business elsewhere as they are just time waster.

Poorest form of customer service, coming up on 2 years since we spent well over $20k on a patio that leaks water into my eaves. These people don't care at all, my recommendation is never use this company.
