I cannot express how much I value the support and guidance in the Diploma of Counselling. The course material is in-depth and I have learned more in the first third of this course than I did in three years of a similar University course. I would heartily recommend this course.

Studying through AIPC has been wonderful as I can fit study in with my family commitments. I have completed all my practicals online as I live two hours away from Perth and have found these to be an amazing learning experience. I certainly recommend AIPC to others interested in counselling.

Completed the Diploma of Counselling with AIPC Perth. I can not recommend their qualification highly enough:
- The learning materials and the online learning system are very clear and user friendly.
- The regular contact with AIPC Perth and the national team are always informative, pleasant and personal.
- The practical assessment are the best I have had, and I have left each of them feeling more confident and empowered by the quality of the trainers delivery and the content shared on each day.
- I highly recommend the face to face assessments as this is where you will learn what a real counsellor sounds and behave like, and you will get to build a network of like minded people each on their own journey, and yet sharing the same passion.
I'd give more stars if I could!

It's been a great experience studying with AIPC. They are extremely supportive and the delivery of the course was well structured and organized. I was a little bit worried to attend face to face assessments but I am so glad I did. The facilitators Lisa & Trevor are extremely helpful and friendly, making it a great experience. I couldn't attend my last assessment face to face but AIPC were quick to reschedule it for me, making sure it fits around my work schedule. I loved meeting other, like-minded students and making new meaningful connections. I am happy to graduate but I am also a little bit sad because it has been great to be a part of this amazing community. AIPC has a Work Ready Graduate program which helped me rewrite my CV and cover letter, and thought me some valuable lessons regarding job search. I even had a one on one Skype session with one of their mentors, that's all free of charge!
I honesty can't recommend AIPC enough. Big thank you to student support officer Lisa, admin support Amelia and both assessors Trevor and Lisa!

Completing my Diploma of Counselling at AIPC and pursuing a career in counselling is best decision of my life. The course is incredibly well supported through their web portal and forum, but also email and direct phone calls for queries.

The content of the course is incredibly well done and backed with wealth of resource material, industry insights and peer reviewed knowledge. There is an abundance of great information you will want to refer back to as your career develops and takes shape.

The thing I struggled with the most - the 'In-person' practicals, turned out to be one of the best parts of the entire experience, and I really recommend students to attend these weekend sessions when they can. Meeting the other students was invaluable and it was great to hear their stories and experiences through introductions and group conversations. There are such incredible people, from hugely diverse backgrounds, educations and from all age groups, engaged in this course and it was greatly inspiring.

Last but not least, the Western Australian chapter is staffed by the most supportive and insightful people. The practical work is led by extremely competent and engaging counsellors and to learn from them was the greatest head-start of all.

I saw my first client a week after completing the course, and in 28 working years of my life, that day was the by far, the absolute best.

Staff at the Perth office are so supportive and responsive. Study material is in-depth, relevant and sourced from well-regarded authors and practitioners. Qualified and experienced facilitators made assessments far less daunting; and you know if you're competent immediately with constructive feedback always provided. Highly recommend studying with AIPC.

As a mature aged student interested in counselling practice, I have found studying with AIPC Perth simply a fantastic experience. Right from the inquiry when Lisa Gray of the Bentley office picked up the phone to address my queries regarding an interest to enrol in a Diploma of Counselling, I have been very well supported in administrative matters, bookings and, in some instances, COVID-related booking challenges regarding in-person or online practical sessions, sometimes at very short notice for personal safety and quarantine compliance. Local office team members such as Amelia as well as interstate officers such as Sarah have been a pleasure to work with, always providing extremely polite and responsive in their support and guidance on study advice and addressing queries.
Throughout the study course, I have received excellent feedback and guidance from the AIPC's talented lecturers and examiners. Lisa Gray has been an outstanding examiner and practical assessment tutor, delivering dispassionate criticism on coursework and in practicals, while simultaneously injecting industry experience and professional insight to those teaching sessions. The coursework has been challenging and does take students out of their comfort zone which, I believe, is important for one to appreciate the values, standards and ethical conduct that is part of professional counselling excellence for those that eventually want to practice in the field.
Following from the studycourse, the AIPC's graduate program was also part of my offering, providing me with information on how to set up one's counselling practice, to engage with clients, as well as providing resources and templates.
In all, I have found the AIPC's Diploma of Counselling an enriching and rewarding study experience, have made new friends and professional colleagues within the industry and, especially, feel ready to join the counselling profession.

I’m really pleased to be studying the Diploma of Counselling with AIPC. So far I’ve found the study guides and book of readings fascinating and exactly what I need to feel confident in passing the assessments. Although, living in the country I did expect completing the practicals to be a bit of a chore – but what a surprise – the skype option with a facilitator has turned out to be a fun learning experience as well!

I have only good things to say about my experience of studying with the AIPC. Apart from the fact that the course is really interesting and offers flexible study options, the people who provide student support, who facilitate the practical workshops and the people who correct my workbooks are all just lovely. I enjoy attending the workshops in Bentley as they are a great way to meet like-minded people who put you at ease immediately, but I also love the fact that I have other options to submit my practical assessments online if I need to do that. I can't imagine anyone could ever regret doing this course. I love it!

AIPC provides both self paced, flexible, at home learning with quality face to face practical learning and assessment workshops. I attended my first one today and the facilitator, Lisa was outstanding with her depth of knowledge and workshop delivery. I highly recommend the face to face assessment options for students.

Studying through the AIPC has been a wonderful, encouraging and rewarding experience. The support while studying has been fantastic whether it be through emails regarding support, calling the study assist line or calling the Perth office for assistance. The staff at AIPC Perth office are always there when I need to chat and have always been encouraging of my study and goals.
Practical assessments in person at the institute in Bentley are highly recommended in my opinion. They way they structure the group seminars are welcoming, informative and put any worries or stress you might have at ease which really allows for so much personal growth throughout the role plays and has you leaving happy and more confident. It's also nice to meet other students and like minded people to have a chat.
I highly recommend the AIPC Perth and AIPC in general, it's been a very positive experience for me.

Just completed counselling Diploma offered by AIPC. The study has given me a sound insight into the process of counselling and its application. It is both informative and inspiring for those who want to make a career in counselling and helping profession. I did the face to face practical, and both facilitators Lisa and Ken have been knowledgeable and supportive to help understand the training journey from online theory to practice.

Studying online through AIPC was an enjoyable experience. As I was already working full-time in the mental health industry, I needed an organisation and platform that was flexible and convenient. AIPC absolutely delivered on this. I was able to complete my full course online and opted to submit all practical assessments via video submissions. This allowed me to record the practical assessments with family and friends who were happy to assist, using my phone, then uploaded the recordings to the AIPC online platform, simple!
The team at AIPC were readily available and always happy to assist. I found all interactions, both email correspondence and phone calls to be supportive and compassionate. For those looking to complete studies online I would highly recommend going through AIPC.
Thanks team for all your support and assistance! Kind regards, Ryan.

I have always chosen the AIPC to study with, their high standards of education and learning is second to none. In the last ten years I have completed a Diploma of Counselling, Four Advanced Study Majors and a Double Major Graduate Diploma in Grief and Loss and Family Therapy, and I cannot recommend AIPC highly enough! They have been nothing but supportive, efficient, compassionate, accomodating and always available to assist with my learning. The Perth staff were open and friendly and the assessors were highly knowledgeable in their expertise and shared real life perspectives and examples which only enhanced my learning and provided an advanced level of skill that I could not have gained by just the readings, they prepared me for the real-life counselling environment and counsellor role. The practical face-to-face seminars were invaluable to integrate my learning and allowed me to practice and enhance my skills with empathic support and encouragement, always providing a valuable learning experience and feedback that was insightful and aided my application of skills. I developed supportive relationships with my fellow students, we all supported one another in our journeys. The learning material was excellent and updated regularly and this was supported by a high level of expert facilitation in class. I will always come back to the AIPC to enhance my skills, their flexibility is a wonderful asset allowing the time to balance life commitments and study time, but we are never forgotten, the Perth staff were always there to check-in on my progress and help with any questions I had and I was always made to feel welcome and empowered with my learning. If it had not been for my AIPC studies I would not have had the very successful Private Counselling Practice I now have and the chance to support hundreds of clients that have been in my care in the last 8 years now, thank you AIPC and most importantly the Perth based staff for everything, you are the best!
