Before finding The Australian Institute of Higher and Further Education, I had been looking into immersing myself in the world of Ayurveda for quite some time; and school hunting was -I found- a really hard task!

One day I stumbled upon AIHFE online and decided to give them a call despite the Christmas holiday in the hope to get a call back after the holidays and to my surprise, I received a call back straight away from Dr Sarath Jayawardana, CEO of AIHFE and this, was THE Decisive call.

Dr Sarath made me feel completely at ease and truly made me want to enrol straight away from answering my questions and being so genuine in wanting to help and guide me on the 'right path'.
I felt I could easily resonate with his view of life, studies and intentions as a teacher. And this alone really stood out! After calling numerous amount of schools, not only this one was the first that made my heart Feel like I knew I had found THE right school for me, but Dr Sarath spent over 45min of his time (on a public holiday!) listening to my story, and REALLY trying to help and guide me without trying to 'sell his school' or badmouth other schools like I had the experience with previous calls.

Today, I am a proud student of The Australian Institute of Higher and Further Education and not a day goes by without feeling like I have made the best decision by enrolling here, in this Institute!
Lessons might be intense at times (so much knowledge and wisdom being shared) But to have them delivered by SUCH intelligent, genuine and PASSIONATE lecturers such as Dr Sarath AND Dr Roopa Rao is nothing but worth! They are so kind and helpful (they might be in another state but their presence is always felt through my studies. They are always present and so (quickly) responsive to whatever question one might have.) It had been long since I came across teachers who deliver their knowledge with such devotion and Passion. And that makes it
ALL SO WORTH! Because when you FEEL their passion, it grows on you and this I think, is the true ways of being a successful teacher! Even the things you think you never showed interest into can change all because of Someone.

It ‘has been an enjoyable experience to study with AIHFE and life-changing experience. I’ve gained vast knowledge and training to become an Ayurveda practitioner. The course provided me with a thorough understanding of Ayurveda and gave me excellent practical experience in the student clinic.

After studying with AIHFE I left with a comprehensive understanding of Ayurveda and how to apply this knowledge to better my life and my work. The lecturers are passionate and very willing to share not just their exhaustive wisdom but their experience of Ayurveda and medicine with you. This course has opened new doors for me, shaping my future. It's tough, but worth every moment!

Studying here was a beautiful experience. The experienced teachers and support from other staff is great. The lectures and study materials are very helpful and informative along with the practical workshop and student clinics providing a remarkable hands on clinical experience.

I was very pleased with the first aid course I did with AIHFE. Other than covering all the important facts we ought to know from textbook, we were given case studies to work on in small groups. The training was so profound and clear, till today I could still remember most of the stuffs I've learned. Will definitely do my next refreshing course with AIHFE.

Choosing the right college wasn't an easy decision; but I had never regretted studying at AIHFE. The well established system, experienced and approachable lecturers, friendly and efficient administrative staffs had contributed to my enjoyable 2 ½ years with this college. Great First aid course!
Recently I did my HLTAID003 apply first aid course at AIHFE. The customer service was superb from the time of making the inquiry until I completed the course. The college personally range me to ensure that I was clear with all the requirements, materials provided before I came for their one day workshop. The workshop was fabulous. It was really a great course with lots real life scenarios. I learnt a lot from the first aid course and had fun too. The course is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend AIHFE First aid courses to anyone who likes to learn first aid.

I am grateful for AIHM/AIHFE giving me the necessary skills, knowledge, and training to become a naturopath. Learning in a classroom environment made it easier to learn and communicate with the lecturers. The student clinic enabled me to get experience consulting with real clients and encompassed many conditions. The friendly staff and teachers often related valuable tips which they learnt from their experiences working in the industry. I now look forward to the challenge of starting my own naturopath clinic.

As a former student and now lecturer and senior clinic supervisor at AIHFE I am grateful for the opportunities AIHFE has given me. The comprehensive education in natural medicine and thorough grounding in biomedicine I received at AIHFE has enabled me to pursue a rewarding career as a clinician and Naturopathic educator.

Can't say enough positive things about this college, every aspect has been nothing but fantastic. The quality of the teaching and educational materials are excellent, and lecturers are highly knowledgeable and experienced. All staff are incredibly helpful and warm, and you are made to feel like part of the AIHM family rather than a faceless name on an assignment as with some larger institutions. Administration is seamless and efficient. The campus setting is lovely, and you are surrounded by like-minded classmates who are always willing to share opinions and knowledge (and laughs!). I have both worked for and studied at a number of educational institutions and this is by far the best I have experienced.

Studying at AIHM/AIHFE has been a life changing experience. I have learnt so much on my journey with the college not only academically but as a person. The staff and teachers at the college are both supportive and inspiring. I have forged relationships that will last a life time as friends and mentors. I believe that studying at AIHM/AIHFE has been paramount in my Naturopathic success.

I have been going to this school as a patient on and off since my adolescence years. The Ayurveda clinic and naturopathy clinic have helped me so much with my various hormonal problems and digestive issues! The students and supervisors are very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. The prices are are also very reasonable. I love this school and would highly recommend it!

I would highly recommend AIHFE to those people interested in studying natural therapies and in particular Ayurveda. My experience studying Ayurveda at the college was terrific. Peaceful location, easily accessed on Northlake Road near Cockburn Central shopping and train station. Friendly staff. Good service in the student clinic and very economical prices for the clinic services.

My first consult was good, and I understand it's a student clinic, but I was appalled by the second consult. The naturopath failed to read her notes, misinterpreted them and mis "diagnosed" me. The second consult did not follow the structure that I was told at the first, nothing was explained. I was recommended a supplement but the naturopath couldn't explain to me what was in it or why, hostile supervisor who then withdrew her recommendation for the supplement once I raised questions about its content. I would seriously recommend a review of practice and supervision.
