I am well aware that life is more than my skincare routine. But, how I feel about my skin affects my daily life and when I don’t feel good about my skin, it affects my confidence. I know you all agree, it’s a serious issue then. Last week, I shifted to using the ‘award winning Canadian brand’ ORDINARY because I have heard about it SO much. Also, one of my friends said it did wonders on her sensitive skin. I thought of giving it a try and bought the exact products as her. I was surprised how the 22% vitamin C peeled off my dead skin and made my skin feel very smooth at first. However, the next day, it was a disaster. My skin felt so tight and dry. I applied extra moisturizer and my skin absorbed it in few seconds and it went onto feel very very dry again. I started having breakouts on my chin and and my cheeks and forehead were begging for more moisturizer. I then decided to go to back to my Korean skincare routine. Right then, my friend said she discovered a tiny store at Bentley which specialized in Korean and Japanese products. She also noted about their excellent customer service. We went there and and proving her words rights, the store offered us a consultation. She told me that the ORDINARY brand might have been too strong for my skin and recommended me a Japanese brand called MINON. I also availed their basic facial service where she used the products she recommended me to get. I also sensed an energy of honesty from them. I have used the product for the third time now and my skin feels GREAT. I also did some research on the brand and apparently it is one of the best from Japan:) after I decided not to use any cover up, I had come to terms with the freckles but seems like the store has a steady treatment for that as well. It’s fascinating how intense a skincare regimen can get and how much Koreans, Japanese and Chinese know about Asian skin and it’s needs.
