Arch Threading reviews
7Today I had my first threading with Arch Beauty, Belmont. Jyoti was very welcoming and explained the processes with me. I was wanting a brow, lip and chin threading but after talking to Jyoti I ended up with a face massage, Anti Aging and Brow Henna. The massage was amazing and my skin feels so soft. With my Henna brows I look like a new woman. Thank you Jyoti
I went in for a brow threading and tint this past weekend at Arch treading Cockburn Gateways. Results were fine, but not the best I’ve received. That wasn’t my concern though.
My main negative takeaways are, a) The whole time I was in the chair, the woman spent the entire time trying to sell further services. I told her time after time, “I ONLY want my eyebrows done, nothing else”, she ignored me every time and kept pushing even though I never agreed to anything else.
B) I was made to fill out a consent form which I thought was strange, as I’ve never had to do this at any other salon. I get it was possibly a means of obtaining my information.
C) Lastly, when I went to pay, I was told after the service to pay with cash. They had an eftpos machine on the front desk, Clearly on and working. I said I don’t have cash and I prefer to pay with card (much like everyone in this day and age) They indicated that the machine was not working (this wasn’t told to me prior to the service) Unconvinced, but just wanting to get over and done with, I left my trolley of groceries and walked to the nearest ATM. They watched me like a hawk the entire time which made me feel AWFUL. I came back and after struggling to figure out the change from $40 for a $33 service, they didn’t have enough. At no point did they attempt to access the till for change, and instead spent 5 minutes trying to find another dollar in their personal handbags/purses.
The whole experience felt dodgy to me and what was supposed to be a moment of peace and a treat for myself, I left feeling irritated and anxious. I will not be returning and will not be recommending.
I tried to get the attention of the woman working there 3 times but she ignored me whilst staring into the mirror. So I gave up.
I prepaid for a package to get my eyebrows threaded 5 times, and each time i visit the ladys will always try and make me purchase other services.
After telling her i cannot purshase a brow lift, tinting, or facial to remove black heads, she kept asking "why" "why can't you afford it? "
"it will make you look beautiful".
It got a point where i had ask "do you think I'm unpretty why you keep making these comments? !
Then the communication barrier comes into play.
I visited both stores in the city at Plaza Arcade and Trinity Arcade.
I do not recommend Arch Threading.
The lady did a really good job with my brows, but she was pushy and kept trying to sell me extras - when I said no she'd keep pushing and shaming me by saying things like "but you have acne, you need this facewash" or "I can see dark hairs on your upper lip". I understand that add on sales are common but I feel that she pushed it too far and I felt very uncomfortable in the end. Great threading job but I won't be going back.
