Always a lovely place to go to and every season offers new flowers. We've been during a Tulip festival which was joint by Dutch and Turkish events so make sure you look up what is on. Also note that the cafe/food place has specific open times (open Thursday through to Sunday, 10am to 2pm daily)

Beautiful place with scenic views! Take a picnic with you and enjoy a cool summer day.
Involves a bit of hiking so be prepared.
Not the most accessible place with a stroller as there are some steps along the way.

If you go in the bushfire season they will not let you take your car up, so be prepared accordingly to walk.

I recently visited Araluen Botanical Garden and had a wonderful experience, which I'd rate 4/5. The rose garden and stunning landscape, complete with a small waterfall, were truly enjoyable. The $15 entry fee felt worthwhile. The hourly train rides add to the family-friendly charm, making it a great choice for families with kids. There's also a small play area for children and a lovely man-made pond. I highly recommend this picturesque garden for a day of relaxation and family fun.

Went there for the tulips fest but unfortunately the tulips mostly died because of the weather. Am disappointed but it's a nice park to walk around. Had the tulips been there or that they have more flowers, it would be perfect.

We were disappointed because the tulips are already withered plus the entrance is very expensive. They could have inform the people about it and also reduced the entrance fee because we are anticipating that we will still be able to see tulips.

Lovely day though the flowers were already past their peak. No decent place to have lunch. Very disappointing

I last visited Araluen 45 years ago and we decided to take our mum in a wheelchair. Tulips were beautiful and gardens well maintained. Only part of the park is wheelchair friendly but we still managed to see lots of the displays. Only downside was that we couldn't find anywhere to get a cuppa without joining a very long queue to get in the cafe. A few food vans with limited cool drinks and food were there and a coffee van would have been ideal.

One of the best place to visit with family,

We were visiting Araluen Botanical Gardens every years and I was not disappointed. So much to take in, so many beautiful flowers. I always visited during their Spring Tulip Festival and I highly recommend this time of the year. It's a large garden so good walking shoes are a must as is water. We were having a picnic and there are also BBQ's available,

there are also a couple of cafes available. It a great outing for families.

Beautiful gardens!
We went to watch Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" which was performed by The Roleystone Theatre. It was excellent!

Amazing place with stunning flowers. If you love nature, Araluen is definitely the place to go! There is always something to do, from festivals/ concerts frequently appearing in the gardens, and a lovely cafe and gift shop. There is also a lot for kids to do, with virtual reality being incorporated into the garden, allowing kids to see various Australian animals and mythical creatures too (like fairies).

Great Park, but parking areas are a long walk from the picnic tables. Only one well worn table was any where near.

It’s definitely a nice place to walk around and enjoy the fresh air. Toilet also available. Children can walk around and play. You should visit this place in spring so that you can see the beauty of the park, spring flowers summer and winter I do not remember to visit because there’s nothing to see there.

Araluen Botanical Gardens are best seen in the early Spring months of September to October when the Tulip displays are on full show. This is the most popular time and it can get busy on weekends so weekdays are ideal if you can find the time. Its about 45 mins from the CBD and is well worth the drive.
The parkland is a beautiful mix of highly manicured European style displays & Australian flora all presented in a gently elevated landscape which follows a fairly swifty flowing creek and waterfalls, small bridge crossings and meandering streams in a rich forest setting.
An absolute must for lovers of colour and nature.

Beautiful place! All our family enjoy it so very much! Especially camellias collection and for sure tulip season. Kids enjoy a lot all little creeks and waterfalls - so much fun with sticks-boats Only one thing - coffee shop often overloaded and make you wait for a bit, so better to take some sandwiches for kids.
Love this place

This place is a paradise for nature lovers, specially during the August flower festivals. Beautiful collection of flowers and some water bodies are also there. Entry ticket of 10 AUD per adult is worth every penny!
