I have just completed my Certificate II in Animal Studies (VNP) with AVT and I can't recommend them enough! Both the lessons and the practicals were so engaging and well-organised, and all of the staff were extremely kind, approachable and knowledgable. I have really enjoyed every single part of the last 10 weeks, and hope to be back here soon for Veterinary Nursing. Thank you AVT!:)

I couldn't have chosen a better place to complete a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing! The staff at AVT are extremely friendly and supportive to all of their students and get to know each and every one very well. It's a much more personal experience studying at AVT. The staff are always reinforcing that they are there for us students, even after graduating. They teach gold standards to their students and are clearly passionate about their careers. I partly don't even want to graduate because I know that I will miss the staff! They always go beyond expectations for their students and teach very well. They also like to organise really interesting practical days and excursions! I would 110% recommend AVT to anyone considering pursuing a career in animal care! If I decide to further my studies in the coming years, I will definitely be going back!

I'm from Queensland, so I chose AVT (online learning) over TAFE and a few other providers, and I couldn't be happier with this decision.
This was an absolutely stress-free and smooth process, I never knew that education might be so if I can put it like this, friendly!
The study materials are easy to comprehend and cover all topics you need for the tests, even if you don't score your target mark on the first attempt, when you receive feedback it's like the tutor is gently steering you in just the right direction, no charades or negative talk. Not to mention the absence of deadlines for assignments - with online learning there is the opportunity to choose your tempo and build your study precisely to fit your lifestyle.
Communication with tutors and staff throughout the course was marvellous, I never felt like I'm one on one with challenges that I met, and never got a single robotic answer - it always was fast, personal and friendly.
Highly recommended!

I have just completed the certificate II in animal studies intensive (animal care and welfare) and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to start a career working with animals. The work placements at both Cat Haven and Greyhounds as Pets were great because you got hands on experience while you study. The tutors and staff at AVT are really helpful and informative if you ever need a hand with something.

AVT was absolutely fantastic! I did a certificate II in Animal Studies remotely during COVID. AVT was wonderful in their support when I could no longer attend my work placement (due to COVID) and worked with me to extend my course deadline. They were really kind. Their support to a remote student was great. The learning material was interesting and quite fun.
If you are planning on doing a course as a remote student I would recommend checking with businesses before signing up to see if they have work placement opportunities. AVT is fantastic and supportive but it is up to you to find a work placement which can be challenging with no experience.
All in all I was insanely impressed with the course provided by AVT.

Last year I completed my certificate in veterinary nursing through AVT and I cannot speak highly enough of this facility. If you are looking for a learning environment that is personal and offers consistent support, AVT is the way to go. The classes are smaller and you will be on a first name basis with all your lecturers. Completing the course during COVID could have been very difficult but AVT made sure that we has consistent support throughout the whole year.

I completed my Certificate III in Animal Studies at the RSPCA and also my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with AVT. I have no words to describe how amazing and inspiring it was studying with them. They not only support you in all aspects but also encourage you throughout the course. I highly recommend AVT to anyone wanting to start a career in animal care, you will have all the support you need as well as up to date animal care/veterinary nursing knowledge. I consider myself extremely lucky to have had an opportunity to study at AVT. Thank you AVT for you have shown me that it is never too late to follow your dreams!:)

I would like to take this opportunity to share my review with anyone interested studying with Applied Vocational Training. When i was considering to study veterinary nursing, AVT was one of my top choices as they have always been highly regarded within the veterinary industry. I now understand why this is the case once carrying out my studies with AVT. The course content, resources and delivery was of a high standard and kept up to date regularly by AVT veterinarian and nursing lecturers, whilst offering endless and undivided support. When assistance from the operational or administrative staff was required, they were always accessible and prompt. This educational institution only offers courses in what they specialise in, and that is animal care. Therefore, you will find that the culture of AVT is truly passionate and committed to this field. I am confident in saying that along with dedication, enthusiasm and a will to succeed, AVT will facilitate and guide you along in becoming a highly competent and qualified veterinary nurse or animal carer once you have concluded your studies. 5 STARS!
