A very poor excuse of an institution. Out of date content, spelling errors, staff that thinks students are fools from their tone of voice. I am so much happier with others now.

Highly Recommend. The program is well designed for those of us trying to continue working and fit study into busy lives. The online platform was easy to navigate and resources provided were useful. Using software for practical exercises and assignments is a great teaching tool. Even if you've worked in the field for awhile, there will still be something to learn.

Don’t waste your time or your money on Applied Education.
Support is non existent - maybe you’ll get a student on the line that can’t help you and doesn’t pass your enquiry on to the relevant “support” staff.

Send a query through the site and 4 days later there’s still no response.

Current dates can’t be used which makes it extremely confusing and well - just don’t bother with them.

Better off paying more for a better provider.

I completed self-paced BAS Registration Skill Set. The staff/team, from receptionists to tutors, are very accommodating and will do as much as they can to assist you with your queries. All course materials are useful. I've learnt a lot from the theories and practice/exercises. I highly recommend Applied Education.

This is the second time i have studied with AE. First it was the Cert 4 in bookkeeping, and now the Adv. D.in Accounting.
The staff have been extremely helpful, Chandrika and James especially informative. They have always been friendly and quick to respond to queries. The courses, whilst difficult in areas, was well presented. Anything i was unsure about was always aided through the assessors clarifications and assistance.
They are fully self paced courses over a reasonable period (and as i found with the Cert 4, extensions are granted)
I would highly recommend AE to all those wanting to further educate themselves

I studied the tax agent skills modules at Applied Education. I am very happy with Applied Education. The marking team are quick and provide good feedback. The Administration team are very efficient with enrolment and getting your certificate to you quickly. The content is really good and straight to the point. The course is flexible and you can study any time via the online portal. I would definitely study with Applied Education again in the future!

Sent them online inquiry about the course few months ago. Replied saying “all the information is on the website”. Okay.few month later, went there to have a consultation hoping getting more useful information this time. But I had the most unpleasant experience.
Sitting at the lounge but no one welcome or ask me the reason to visit, just completely ignored. They don’t take walk in, which is fine. I felt so upset by the look the receptionist gave me, the way she talks and her attitude. She was definitely looking down on me. I feel so embarrassed. It would be much better to specify what you guys look for! I would recommend people that look for something else! There are plenty of other institute!

Not self paced as promoted wish I had gone with alternative provider. Final assessments in the Payroll Diploma course are locked until first assessments are marked so don't clear your schedule as you will be left waiting. I have done several online courses and have never been locked-out from progressing through units and I have never had emails completely ignored or replies that do not answer your question, just state it is AE procedure, a procedure that is not noted in the AE student handbook or the AE course information, it's not until after you enrol and have access to the student porthole that you are given all the facts.

I've just completed a Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping. I was very happy with the course, staff and material. Some of the recorded classes were of low quality, couldn't hear some of the questions from the students, and they were quite long. Aside from that I was very happy with the content and the assistance. The facebook group was absolutely fantastic support. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Not recommended if you have limited time after class. You just could not finish it forever. For the bookkeeping certificate, they require you to do lots of homework (8 hours more) if you do not have experience in that before, you just cannot finish the tests for every unit, each test is about 10 tasks in 5 pages. If you failed in tests, they give you another chance, but with very limited assistantce for complex questions. You can only rely on yourself in solving the problem. The teachers have no time for answering questions after class, once i asked for assistance, teachers said they have children to pick up they have to go in a minute. In class they are very fast paced and sometime i could not catch up as well.

I found this very difficult with limited help from assessors when needing help. Marking takes 2-3 weeks which is very frustrating. Several times I had marks come back and spent hours trying to figure it out and then asking the assessor who replies that it was actually correct in the first time! Classroom videos are often out of focus with not great sound.

I recently finished my Dual Cert 4 in accounting and bookkeeping through them.
It was not an easy task to prepare myself for studies again after a decade but Applied Education made it so interesting and challenging at the same time.
I enrolled for a self paced study program and I was able to finish the course in time without any extension all while juggling a full time job and family.
The course material was up to date, assessments were clear yet demanding. I learnt actually how to research for answers and relevant information if needed rather than getting spoon fed.

All the Assessors were extremely helpful and quick in pointing me in right direction yet letting me find my own answers which actually gave me loads of confidence)
I found the ticket system so helpful and efficient, got all my queries answered within a couple of working hours every single time.

Thumbs up to all the assessors and congratulations to the whole team of Applied Education.
I shall be enrolling for my diploma very soon.)

I have just completed my Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping as an online course (self-paced study) it is very practical, focussed mostly on MYOB, there is one unit solely on Xero. It helped me a lot! Once I started to work, I had no issues doing AP/AR, fixed asset register, reconciliations, EOY procedures, prepayments, BAS and Payroll. It prepares you for everything you need for the bookkeeping job (I'm currently an assistant accountant). It also teaches you how to create a company file, how to switch from written bookkeeping to accounting software package, how to adjust chart of accounts or how to do inventory. The most important is that it is very practical and, in compare to other options, pretty cheap choice.

I was extremely disappointed with the quality of service and course offering. I did the BAS and Payroll modules (404 and 405). The material was of poor quality, there were regular errors, links that did not work and a substantial amount of relevant material had been omitted. I regularly had to use other resources for areas that should have been included. Some of the material has been cut and pasted from other sources.

The communication was even worse. I didn't receive vital emails at the beginning which meant that I missed vital information. When I booked my exams there was no confirmation email and no recognition on the student portal that my exams had been setup. I received multiple duplicates of the same email address on numerous occasions. Even when I identified this to Applied Education they did nothing about it other than to suggest that I use a different email address. This made no difference.

I had to follow up the instructor on submitted assignments that went over the five day time-frame multiple times. The assignment feedback was very limited and poorly constructed and unhelpful. In particular James Chung was by far the worst instructor. He ignored my emails and his feedback was useless. It took him ten days after my exam result was available online to email me to advise that it had been posted.

Twice when I submitted assignments it didn't go through properly and I had to go back later and re-submit them.

I raised all of these concerns to one of the directors but did not receive any feedback.

Having completed my Bachelor of Accounting (studied online) and completed all of the (online) CPA professional CPA modules I can say that Applied Education offering is incredibly poor. I would have been better off picking up a basic Bookkeeping book.

If you are considering studying through Applied Education my recommendation is to look for another provider. If you choose to ignore my advice I wish you the best in your studies and hope that you have a far better experience than I have had.

To Applied Education - I feel that you have ripped me off and offered an extremely poor service. Worse than that though right throughout my experience with you I have felt that you have not cared about all of the issues that I have had and just wanted to rid of me as soon as you could.

I have just completed the Cert IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting and found the course material relevant and useful. When you are stuck you are able to lodge a ticket for assistance which is usually responded to on the same day and very helpful. The assessors feedback on assignments is also extremely helpful. I am looking to continue my accounting studies through Applied Education and would recommend them highly to new students.

I recently completed the Advanced Diploma of Accounting and would not recommend Applied Education for this particular qualification. Classroom recordings were non existent in the advanced subjects and only limited summary slides were available. Communication was poor and there was very limited assistance for complex subjects.

Completed the cert IV in bookkeeping and accounting. Very much enjoyed the online aspects of the course and the support from the Applied Education staff was always prompt and clear. Highly recommend if you are wanting to do an online course at your own pace.

I completed the Certificate IV in Bookkeeping & Accounting in August 2018. I did it online. I found the course content had a good mix of theory and practice. The support team was helpful. Upon completion I got the job I wanted: Office and Finance Manager. I keep the motion going and have now enrolled for the Diploma of Accounting with this RTO.
