Anaconda Melville

Good range of artic clothing but it's overwhelming and the staff are high school leavers with little product knowledge. Me: "how would this jacket work in a London winter? " Them: "ummm.yeah I guess. [looks at info tag]. It says it's good for the cold" what the heck! Considering the price of good quality snow jackets, Anaconda needs to invest in staff with travel experience and a better understanding of customer needs.

Great outdoor essentials, plus lots of toys. Brought a big Coleman esky on wheels for a roadtrip north

I went there today, I liked the shop. There is a lot of variety, reasonable prices, and good specials. However, my shopping experience was ruined, when the Asian girl with coloured contacts in the cash register gave us an attitude; she obviously hates dealing with people and made us feel like we were stupid. I think you need a better system to select your employees. What could be a 5 star review, it is a one star only because of one person. All the effort of a team went to the trash.

Disgusting team leaders who are not even managers

Spent $700 dollars on a Garmin device used no more than 5x take back as wasn’t holding charge while using this device is used for safety out in bush for emergency there customer service is awful then threatened with police if I don’t leave store which is open to public because silly team leader has no idea what they both doing one called jack and don’t know female name but wow I think team leader authority gone to there head have to make another visit back to store face a manger now

Won’t exchange won’t refund

Only option is repair which is weeks

Just spent $1000 in store on the weekend and that’s how you get treated guess I’ll bring my stuff back as well

No mangers on site as she’s gone home to collect kids was in store 3pm and nobody to assist

Team leaders need to be sacked threshing the public who’s spent money on store because he’s useless

I couldn't thank the staff at Anaconda enough last night, we were looking at getting quality tents, sleeping bags and camping chairs to send to Turkey/Syria as they are facing great difficulty following the earthquake catastrophe in -4 degree temperatures.

Dom and Kyra (inc.managers) were finding ways to help as best as they could so we were able to make the most effective donation possible. They were even kind enough to help pack our small cars and get recycled boxes to drop off at our charity event.

The Turkish community and I are extremely grateful for all of your efforts. Thank you once again.

Bad service here. Purchased rod reel and line which I asked to have spooled up. Was told to come back and collect prior to close as the only team member who could do it was not in yet. Came back 6 hours later and still not done. Was asked to wait 5 mins until the team member who could do it was available. 15 mins later I walked out.

Got very poor service today left us high and dry.

Would be our last visit to this shop.

Details:
- Picked up a new rod and reel combo during lunch time but was told no one was avaliable to add braid.
- Plan to go fishing next morning with few families, so asked when would be a better time for the braid.
- After checking with "Jack", we were told to come back around 6pm;
- Went back to the shop at 6pm, found Jack, was then told "I can't do it today, you can either leave the rod and reel here or come back another time";
- At 6pm, all other shops were closed and we had no alternative, same with our fishing plan.

Very disappointed.

Took my recently online purchased bike into Cannington store yesterday to sort out a minor issue, totally unhelpful. Went the the Melville store today, went above and beyond to help me out, very happy.

Wanted to purchase a bike for Christmas for my son. Only the one on the floor left. Staff member found out I could purchase after not knowing, but I still had to pay full price listed and $30 build fee. No discount for it being the last bike left that many people had looked at. They needed to do a safety check before releasing bike & said they would call me when done. I called at 3: 30pm (originally came at 10am) as I needed to arrange collection with family member and needed to know a rough time. Staff member I spoke to couldn't tell me when the person checking it would do so, didn't know when they finish for the day. Just said they are open till 9pm and that I could always pick up tomorrow if it's not done today. I still needed to know a time to let family member know and have a plan in place. Repeatedly asked for a time estimate for collection, staff member said "Well, what time do you want to collect it Ma'am" in a tone that I sensed he was getting sick of speaking with me, but I really felt I wasn't asking for something unreasonable. I said it was them that needed to let me know a time as I am waiting on their service, not the other way around. Finally told me to collect in an hour. Came at time arranged. Staff member at the counter just stared blankly while I waited for him to let me know he was ready to help me. He doesn't know to say "next please" or "hello, how can I help you today". Finally got hold of the bike. Had a couple of decent scratches on it despite them saying they would make sure it's all ok. Over it by this point and tried to remind myself that at least I was able to get a bike for my son on my only free day off now before Christmas. First world problems, but really the staff need more customer service training.

Arrived at the store for the first time to an open door which I walked through. Rude attendant greeted me with ‘use the other door. ’ No hello, warm welcome or smile. Lost my business in the first 10seconds. BCF or online it is. Rethink your teenage door attendant Anaconda Booragoon.

I frequently ride past this store on my commute to work and more often than not I see the store manager or 2ic out the back of the store pretending to be on the phone, usually smoking, with a plastic bottle. This might contribute to the terrible service I see mentioned in reviews.although it could just be a random person scratching their hemorrhoid? I gave the second star because he wasn't using an Apple iPhone.

Nice shop plenty of options. Helpful staff.unfortunate that a few items were out of stock as seems to be the NORM now with the consequences of Covid.

Terrible customer service, poor management, terrible communication. They sent my drone to an unauthorised DJI retailer for warranty rather than DJI simply because they are Chinese owned and run so poor services hence cheaper and they damaged my drone and no one is responsible for this mess. Will never buy from them again. Waste of time and money! The manager is rude and abusive!

Very helpful staff but I'm less than impressed by the relationship between the store stock on the website and reality. It's spurious at best and "bait and switch" at worst. Definitely not up to the standard of their sister company. It's a shame because the staff really were excellent.

The front staff were not very helpful. I had my 3 year old and a 2kg gas bottle for a refill. The shop closes at 5.30pm and I was there at 5.15pm, but the 4 staff who was just talking among themselves didn't want to come out and do the refill. Pretty sure it won't take 15mins to do a refill and you still would have end your shift at 5.30. Muppets. Definitely won't be returning.

Anaconda has lots of stock and staff readily available to help you find things! The pricing is a little high for a camping store but they always seem to have a lot of stock, hence you can get almost everything you need!

We found a few items much cheaper than other similar stores in the same area staff are very helpful with their knowledge on products they supply.

Purchased a roof top tent and was told it is suitable for installation on all roof racks. Staff unable to offer any assistance when asked about fitting.

Attempted to fit the tent to a flat rack and because the straps are underneath the corners of the tent the result was I would be unable to open the tent.

Contacted the store a week after purchasing and was told the manager was sick and would call me back when they where in. Tried again a few days later and was told, they are still sick we have your details someone will call you. I've now waited another 3 weeks with no contact and am left out of pocket $1250 for a product that's not suitable.

Great location, easy parking and good stock. All staff were really helpful with our queations and Kyra on the checkout was friendly, personable and a real asset to the anaconda family.

Anaconda Melville is a larger one of their stores with a greater range of goods available. Good to get stuff you need when on sale as well.
