I had an extremely positive experience in my assessment with Holly. The clinic was responsive, flexible with my needs and had excellent follow up. After significant time of trying to access a diagnosis as an adult, I’m so grateful for the neuroaffirming approach and for the kindness and compassion I was shown by Holly. Thank you!

I was out within 10 minutes of my first appointment as they didn't really want to help due to some pending legal matters that I am dealing with at the moment.

Amherst Psychology is run with the upmost integrity and genuine care. They practise what they preach. Couldn’t vouch for this place enough.

The admin team are fantastic- they create a very warm, welcoming and safe experience each and every time.

Lastly and most importantly, the psychologists are fantastic at their craft. I saw one and so did my wife. Both genuine, caring, connected, intuitive and incredibly insightful. Highly recommend them.

Zoe is fantastic and has been incredibly helpful with ND couples counselling. We tried a few psychs before Zoe and none of them were actually understanding or useful in navigating the ND differences, but Zoe has been the best.
All the reviews that are cranky about late cancellation fees.psychologists are small business owners and have costs too. If you cancel late, they still need to pay their rent & reception staff. It's unfortunate but what can you do? !

They don’t answer their phones and when they finally made contact they asked for credit card details in the first sentence. My doctor referred me to these guys with the promise of 5 free session that come with my mental health plan which this practice would not honour. They come across very greedy in my opinion. -Allan

Would not recommend this practice. Dr Cindy is a great psychologist, however, the business itself is greedy.

On the day I received the 48hr reminder for my appointment, I went online to cancel my appointment and was not able to do so. After getting into contact with the practice, they advised me that there would be charge for the cancellation of that appointment, even after explaining my unpredictable work commitments this time of year as I am a health professional.

The clinic was not understanding at all and have charged me the cancellation of that appointment ($122.50). I have been a regular and reliable patient throughout the year and have spent a lot of money at this practice.

However, I would not be booking any further appointments here and I recommend you spend your hard earned money at another local Psychology Clinic because god forbid you have any unforeseen circumstances.

Very unimpressed with this business. And that's all it is to them, a business. Over the course of 7 appointments they cancelled my sons appointment 5 times, once on the day of because the psych was sick which was very upsetting for him but I was understanding that it couldn't be helped, when I was sick with gastro and rang to reschedule they wanted to charge me a cancellation fee. Now he has to have a telehealth appointment, he's 8 and hates talking on the phone. Pure profiteering and double standards. Will not be continuing therapy with these robbers. Update- since posting this review they contacted me and apologised and allowed the appointment to be cancelled waiving the cancellation fee under the circumstances.

I recently finished counselling at amherst and it was really worthwhile - staff were welcoming and psychologist gave suggestions that helped me improve my health and my marriage.

That review just made me remember, I went about 3 years ago, and they just had NO idea how to talk to someone who is in a fragile state of mind. I needed help, and I couldn't believe I actually felt worse for going: (
