Altronics

I have been there a few times for my security alarm battery. I have never encountered any antisocial behaviour there. The staff there have always treated me with respect as a customer and person. Many thanks guys for your help. From Robert. Glenton

Over the last 3 months l have had to go to Altronics at least 3 times for advice and information. Each time a young man called Marc dealt with me. What an amazing young man he is. Hes very knowledeable, patient, polite, he takes his time explaining things if he doesn't know the answer he looks them up on what ever. Marc is a huge asset to this company and a future manager. I forgot he always has a smile on his face. It was a joy to deal with him. The rest of the staff are worthy of a mention cos they are all team members

Excellent service and very helpful. I needed a mini bnc connector And nobody in Perth had one but Altronics Cannington was able to repair the broken cable. Highly recommend them.

Went in recently to get some bits and pieces for my business. How things have changed! Great casual but professional atmosphere, staff were helpful and friendly and the store looks 100% on what it was 12 months ago. Everything is neat and the new manager Steve has done a great job! Will be coming back more often now.:)

I needed some help selecting appropriate resistors and diodes for my LED lighting circuit. I prepared my schematic drawing, took my LED lights and made the mistake of first going to Jaycar. When I told their staff what I needed, they literally started at me blankly, like I was speaking Chinese. Next stop Altronics, and man! Were they helpful. Not only did they understand exactly what I needed, but they immediately took out their benchtop power supply, read my schematic and hooked up the circuit. Then they worked through a bunk of resistors and diodes to find exactly what I needed. They even took the time to walk through the store with me to pick out a bunk of switches to make sure I walked out with everything I needed. Extremely good service - especially by Josh! Thanks!

Your store manager Steve was awesome. He had a 'can do' disposition and helped with an electronic issue I presented to him. His staff Josh had the same attitude. Well done Cannington branch. I shall always remember the brilliant service. Thank you.

Excellent range of goods with knowledgeable and helpful staff. I have used the store a lot.
BUT several times I have taken items that have developed a fault back for replacement while still under warranty and been refused.
For example I bought a gas soldering iron, costing $165, in August. In May it stopped working. I took it back and the person serving agreed it was faulty - but his manager would not allow him to give me a replacement.
CAUTION: This store cannot be relied on to honor warranties.
UPDATE 5 days later
I attempted to file a complaint on their website but the 'submit' button didn't do anything. So took a screenshot and sent it snail mail.
A few days later somebody called me and claimed there had been a 'misunderstanding'.
He said the manager of the Cannington store had been replaced (again). No apology, no offer of a refund. I hung up.
DISGRACEFUL

The owner responded today to say my review was unfair and untrue. He said I WAS offered a refund. I WAS NOT. He had previously called me to say there was a 'misunderstanding' and rambled on... My BS alarm went off loudly so I hung up.
Points:
1 I have an account with Altronics and have spent a moderate amount over the years at this store.
2 The range of stock is excellent.
3 The staff are first-class, knowledgable and helpful - but I note a high turnover of both staff and managers.
4 This is not the first time I have had justifiable refunds refused by managers at this store.
5. I do not like the implications on my honesty on this issue.
6. Altronics is losing a loyal customer.

Great range, good prices, knowledgeable staff. I respect the type of staff where they not only know what a component is, but what it does.

I test my components religiously, and although online stores might be cheaper I have found various online retailer basic packs - resistors, caps, and transistors - to be very hit and miss. I'm yet to get a dud from a brick and mortar store.

Went there today, try to find a Bluetooth transmitter for my car. But I wasn't sure which one to get. Steven helped me and showed me few options. And I've got what I need.

Excellent service - unlocked a broken plug, found a replacement and checked out power supply. All with great good humour

Superb service. We run some Post Offices and the cable that connects our camera to our comp terminals.developed a fault. We were unable to get a replacement for 2 weeks. This literally cost as thousands in revenue. I went to other shops but they didn’t have the correct cable. Neither did Altronics. But they young guy behind the counter (I can’t remember his name) spent a lot of time figuring out how to adapt the cables they did have. Camera works. Very happy customer

Needed some batteries for my sugar levels tester, young worker there did a great job fixing it all for me
