All Foods Market Kingsley IGA reviews
20It's presented well, they take care in the the veg & fruit displays and some times have good specials across the store. So while they care about appearance its unsual that I often end up buying rotten fruit like blueberries etc, family pick up rotting lettuce and on occasion meat that was off. I think they drop the ball on food checks, but a common characteristic of most iga and small grocer's.
Usually happy shopping here - tonight I bought a Cooked free range chicken which had definitely been sitting there a long time as it wasn’t edible - the previous night I bought a tub of baby cukes which a day after purchase were soggy mush and inedible - I tried to call the store tonight so they could remove these items but the phone isn’t answered
Picture this, its chicken wrap night, but bloody Woolies forgot your scrumptious chicken in the weekly groceries. In such a situation the best course of action would be to take a cheeky trip down the Kingsley IGA and grab yourself some real delicious chicken. This shop has saved chicken wrap night on countless occasions. I owe my life to this store and its beautiful quality chicken which can be used to produce the most exquisite chicken wraps I have ever eaten in my time on this planet. I love Kingsley IGA and if it ever closed, I don't know what I would do.
Always a terrific range of products at reasonable prices. Is an older store but has all your grocery requirements covered
Check use by dates on everything! Consistently you will find out of date items eveverywhere in this shop. I got sick of wasting money here and now go to Woolworths just around the corner.
Reply to Owner
In response to the owner's reply below, I would say refer to the many, many other reviews covering a long period of time reporting exactly the same problem. In all the other grocery stores I have shopped at, including many IGA stores, I have not encountered this problem to anywhere near the extent it is present in your store. You need to change your existing practices and bring them into line with existing best practice standards.
It's changed a lot over the years, now sells a lot of fancy but pricey foods and ispre expensive in general. There's a cafe type place attached. Try the rocky road!
I come here occasionally for convenience. I do like the range of food and it's a bigger IGA than Padbury
Check the use by dates on everything you buy. They consistently leave out of date products on the shelf. The dip and cheese I bought recently was 2 weeks out of date!
Quality produce 5 star, service 4 star 1 lady that's as rude as f, prices don't match 2 star, face masks 1 star 2 short fat foreign ladies about 65ish have been seen 3 times in last 3 weeks not wearing masks or signing in when I challenged them they told me to get f, ed and f off
If they do not know the price of drinks that won't scan they guess the price. Bunderberg Sasparella had a shelf price of $3.19. They tried to charge me $4.99 without going an checking it. What a rip off. Lucky I was hot and needed a drink that I went ahead with my other purchases. But will not come back.
Consistently unclear price markings, this is the third time where I have paid more than what the price markings suggest. Very unsatisfied.
Also, they don't have a good system for removing old produce, there were multiple guacamoles which were out of date, the most in date being "best before" that day.
Good selection of products and excellent fruit and vegetables. Albeit prices are not cheap. However always check your dockets because I have been overcharged a number of times. I want to support local but am tired of being overcharged. And when trying to phone I can never get through - no-one answers. I will stick to Coles I.future.
May be slightly more expensive thsn major stores but the quality of fresh produce is top notch. Hardworking staff always refreshing whats on offer.
Great choice of 'health' foods.
Good range, and aways seems to be something new & interesting to try. A few times have had to go back in as specials weren’t charged correctly. Otherwise good.
I love getting my veggies here. Great prices prices, always fresh. Only issue is with bagged tomatoes. Easy parking. The staff are the best. Always friendly, always working hard, even at height of pandemic. Thank you to all their fantastic staff!
Someone from the marketing department have told staff to clutter the aisles with stock to display.
When we are all trying to do social distancing this makes it impossible.
A really nice place to grab some groceries, easy parking and so convenient. The cafe within IGA also does great coffee!
The quality of the fresh produce is superb. The choice and quality of meats on their deli is also outstanding
Iga in Kingsley has your lunch needs covered, I never realized they had so much good food, check out all the salads
I’m hoping that the talk of a new cafe and renovations at this store also means a NEW OWNER. I hope so!
I shopped at this store every week for 7 years. It was seriously overpriced, even putting prices of some goods up just for the weekend period, but I put up with this as the staff were terrific & helpful and it is located 1 minute from my home (can’t go past convenience). Then, about 18 months to 2 years ago, when in line for the checkout, I was approached my an angry man in a blue polo shirt. He told me to “finish the shopping already at the checkout and don’t come back” furthering that I was banned from HIS store forevermore. I will spare the details of the ensuing conversation, which took a few seconds to start as I stood there agog and wondered who he was talking to.what? Me? Huh? Anyway, it turned out that I supposedly knew a person that had stolen a chocolate bar and a drink from the store. Wow, really?
Since then, and I freely admit that I heard it from another person - not the one mentioned - that a fellow business owner at the Kingsley Shops had also been “banned” from the store. Yet another business owner told me that they wouldn’t shop there out of principle as they too had had a disagreement with the IGA owner. Congratulations, what a way to make make friends and influence people!
Since then none of my family or friends will shop there (sorry lovely staff members). During our “conversation” the IGA owner told me he loses about $200-$300 per week to theft. Well, that was just what I spent there. That’s times your loss by two. Add friends and family to that loss and it’s multiplied quite a bit more. NOT sorry about that. That’s alright by him though as he told me to “look around” at the busy store and informed me that he “didn’t NEED my business anyway! ”.
Some people.
