Alice Atkinson Caravan Park

We paid $35 for a powered site. Showers and toilet facilities were very clean. Camp kitchen also very clean and included plates, even a slow cooker. Great place to stay in our camper trailer. Very quiet, and you can use the communal fire pit. One block from the pub for dinner!

In Sandstone you give this a 5 star for being clean throughout and a nice greeting at the office. Showers toilets all very good. Camp kitchen, bbqs very good.
The odd truck passing on main rd and pump starting up, but apart from that it is quite.
I'm sure you won't be disappointed if you stay here.

We spent 4 nights at the park. Great bays to set up in. The ablutions were clean and tidy. The camp kitchen was clean and well presented. Our group had several kids and there was plenty of space for them.
A short walk to the pub for great pub grub.

Wonderful place and Luke minded travellers, mist of us prospecting for the elusive Gold but good healthy fun, then the fibs sitting around the fire of a coolish evening, can't beat that.

A well kept and interesting cemetery. Jewish and aboriginal graves significantly seperated from the rest.

Time and Cost: No apparent time limit, $25 per night unpowered.

Access: Sealed road access but gravel/dirt within park.

Facilities: Large flat parking area with gravel/dirt base and no shade. Facilities include flushing toilets, shower, laundry, dump point, camp kitchen, bins and non-potable water. Poor Telstra signal but no Optus or TV reception.

Ambiance: Reasonably quiet and close to town.

The only viable camping location around Sandstone. Well managed park with good facilities despite its isolation.

Considering the remote location, this park is a bit of an oasis. Good clean facilities and fantastic hot showers. If you just need a shower, there is an honour box in the ablutions. $6. Grassed areas with bbqs and kitchens.

Great Park manager really nice and helpful. Amenities clean. Camp kitchen great. Would definatly stay again.

Absolutely love coming back to Sandstone and the caravan park is amazing. Wonderful facilities and wonderful staff.

Great clean shower block, got there late at night and left at Sun up so didn't get to see anything else.
Probably some of the cleanest shower and amenities ive seen since being on the road
