Alfred's Kitchen

Soup was very poor. Nothing like previous time we have had it. (the whole reason why we were there the other night).

Been going for over 45 years with my family. Always amazing food.
Tonight the 2 steak burgers were inedible. The roll bases were so wet and soggy. Had to dispose of the steak as it was not fit for human consumption. Full of fat throughout the pieces and the edges pure fat. The meat looked old. Had to throw the burgers away. Could not even give to the dog. The hamburger was OK however the fried onions that asked for were only partially cooked. The chips were not even fresh they seemed reheated.
Took photos however unsure how to post.
Is Alfred's under new management? As a different team of people at the counter and coming out of the kitchen observed. No customers also which we found very unusual.

Will not be returning, such ashame after all these years

It's been years since I've visited Alfred's Kitchen and it's still got it, managed to beat the rush, so didn't have to wait for long, and by the time we left the famous fire was going. If you're looking for a great atmosphere and food do yourself a favour and visit.

Sensational Burgers. Fast service for the number of people waiting. Great Atmosphere with the fire pit stoked to keep warm in the cooler months.

Food was great. Worth the money. Slight mix up with the soup order but rectified without issue. No delay. Manager is a top bloke.

If you want an old school burger with chips and gravy, this is the place. There's a reason they have been around since 1946. Definitely give them a go if you want a burger that you use to get at the drive in.

Good food but very slow service and forgetful service. Also no where to sit in the wet weather in the end as indoor dining was getting cleaned so only wet seats available. Disappointing

We love Alfred's kitchen great burgers there yummy and so is the soup it's just delicious

Only tried a cheeseburger. I figured if they can't get that right, no point trying a more expensive burger.
They got it right! Burger was really good! Definitely going to try again when next close by.

The ham and pea soup is incredible. Old school style and absolutely divine. The Cram burger is also amazing. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Quaint, iconic and historic little burger joint in the heart of Guildford. Alfred's is Guildford and Guildford is Alfred's. Has a nice little wood fire that burns as bright as the food and service. There is also a little train carriage (pic) that diners can eat in. Gluten free buns available.

My first visit here, it's kind of a hidden gem that's right out in the open. I just cannot fault the burger I ordered, it was so delicious and great value for money. You have to try this spot out, it's a true gem in Guildford. The staff were so polite and helpful given I didn't know what to order, I knew I wanted some kind of burger, what was suggested was just perfect. After a short wait Mt number was called and I collected what I considered to be a rather large burger, I sat outside the train car and enjoyed the freshly prepared and amazing burger. This will now be on my must have burger spots, highly recommended.

Ive always had the alfreds burgers and the pea and ham soup but this time I tried the vegetarian burger and it did not disappoint!

Alfred's is an institution in Perth. Many come for the Pea and Ham soup or the burgers. Some come for the atmosphere, others for the warm fire and outdoor experience. The Railcar nearby is great to eat in and the car park is generally busy with customers. If you haven't recently, head to Alfred's and be reminded hey you love it.

Delicious, simple and hearty food. The train carriage seating and outdoor seating area in the courtyard are lovely.

Classic venue for great burgers and amazing pea and ham soup. Great on chilly nights to sit around the fireplace and have a munch!

Great burgers! Open til late. They recently updated the menue, things are a little more expensive but vibe is still great as is the taste. I do wish the tables in the carriage were less sticky though. Haha.

Never had a bad burger here, even though they forgot the pineapple in my Hawaiian. The rest was absolutely tasty but. It's a great takeaway. 8 stars really. Always to be recommended

My favourite place for Burgers. And their Ham and Pea soup is the best of the best! Great vibe and always a long queue of people outside but the staffs are really efficient and food is out really fast.
