ALDI Southern River reviews
56Aldi, like all Aldi stores have limited merchandise. Their Meat, Poultry, and other delicacies are slightly varied to Coles and Woolies. The quality of these products are good. But the draw back being that many times, items that are advertised are not available.
We'll presented & staff was very friendly and professional. Will definitely return to purchase weekly shopping.
Rude Manager doesn't even know about Aldi policies.
Staff asked me to get my damaged cooktop back which was still under warranty for refund and when I went there with product he said he can't do refund and didn't even guided me what to do I went to other store they did refund straight away. 0 star
There was this Indian looking begger in the store, in a high green visibility vest, he was soliciting me for money, I went to one of the staff members, her name was Clarysa, she had the most nonchalant attitude I have seen for a retail staff, out right told me "we can't do anything about it".
She walked to the counter while browsing away at her phone to almost check 3 people before closing the counter on me. This is despite me being literally the last person there with one item. She did scan my items, but I did not appreciate her just slamming the 'counter closed' sign on my face like that.
The store seems aware that there are random creppy looking beggers running around. God knows what else, Stay Away!
Well, I'm very satisfied with most of the product quality.
Very cost effective store.
Some non-branded products are even better than their branded counterparts.
Switch the green light to RED, if your lane is closing, as no one loves loading items on the conveyer just to be told to go away.
Typically efficient aldi experience.
This store seems to lag others by a week in their stock
It's a great small ALDI, but there's a big one just down the road at Forest lakes the staff are always friendly and helpful
Lots of specials I love how they sell home appliances outdoor furniture lots specials, now that we have cat & dog food is very cheap etc my favorite shop
Great store, easy access and friendly staff. Always checkout the bargain aisles to find must have products
Great shop, 3 stars because when the queues get more than 8/10 people, one of the cashier will not even try to get someone else to come and help him.
If U have a baby and need nappies don't rely on these guys as they never stock the shelves or have my little guys size I refuse to shop their anymore has happened alot in the last three weeks.same with alot of stock maybe some night shift would be better as they have people stocking shelves through the day I think more should be done to address the bare shelfs as they have it in the back just not getting it done in the day!
Same as last time, good deals, friendly staff and clean. Except out the front of store on Warton road there is a lot of litter.
Some good prices, but beef products and sausages aren't up to the mark.
Some beer and wine terrific value.
I have just come from shopping here and i felt i was racially profiled at the checkout. I am a Maori and was asked by the checkout person if i had anything in the bags hanging from my trolley. I removed the bags and said no do you want to have a look? I was told no thats alright it is just store policy. I would like to add that it was busy and no one else was asked that question waiting at checkout. I informed the checkout girl that i am fifo and i have enough money to pay.
Went to ALDI southern river store, 17/03/22 fairly well stocked, a few freezer items low or absent, they have toilet paper and paper towels, lots of cat food. Very close to public transport, safe area.
Went to get certain items from catalogue that was coming out today and most items haven't come in.
Staff are always helpful, store is always clean and tidy.
If you can't find an item you are looking for, please contact they are always happy to help.
I was looking for a particular variety of steamed rice which they previously stocked which I couldn't locate, the staff member went to check computerised inventory and found no longer in season.
Always a pleasure to shop there
Sucks that we need to pack own groceries, but it is pretty cheap to shop there overall very good
At around 2: 10-2: 20 today, only one counter was open. This man had asked for my ID despite only grabbing frozen fish and vegetables. It was the counter near the alcoholic beverages and I would totally not mind if I had bought alcohol because I am aware I look under 18. But being told to grab my license all the way from my car just so I could buy groceries is quite ridiculous, a very unpleasant experience.
I am well above the age 18, and I did not buy any alcoholic beverages and it was the only counter open. He insisted on specifying that in this register it was a requirement that if I looked under the age of 25, a licence or proof of being over the age of 18 is absolutely necessary, but had there been other counters open I would've chosen that instead.
Also, wouldnt the requirement of asking for a licence in all business be required only when it is illegal to purchase an item unless over the age of 18. Buying frozen fish and some vegetable surely isn't illegal.
Very unpleasant experience, would not come back again, and would not reccomend.
