Albany Health Campus reviews
38I went in for an impromptu maternity check. I’m having my baby in Perth, so am not a patient there, but the staff could not have been more helpful. I really appreciate the reassurance they gave me and for taking the time to see me. Thank you Vanessa and Helen!
Done my placement here with IHNA, absolutely loved every minute of it, staff are absolutely fantastic and very supportive. Highly recommend doing placement here if your considering it
Unprofessional. Disgusting that I almost worked at this place. A friend of mine went there when they wanted to hurt themselves and the gossip that my friend got from young female nurses are disgusting and judgemental and for the male mental health nurse bruising their arm after jiggling the needle inside their forearm, is one twisted psycopath, he knew what he was doing to my friend. All of the young nurses need more training and empathy, if they have any. Don't be a nurse if you think you can get away with stuff, you might lose your rego all together.
I love these guys I had a bike crash 4 years ago they saved my life 7 hour operation then I had to go back just about every two weeks for a year they were really good. I'm writing this review because my 3 year old broke his arm the other night and they fixed him up with a cast in about 2 hours really great service
Absolutely disgusting! My mother was bought in by Ambulance tonight around 11: 10 on it is now 1: 10 am and NO DOCTOR HAS SEEN HER AT ALL! The nurse has barely been in either! She was bought in with very high blood pressure and had a mini stroke a couple of months ago! SERIOUSLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH SHE COULD DIE AND NO-ONE WOULD KNOW!
I visited the emergency department recently
The nurse on duty was a wonderful lady. Her bedside manner and rapport were beautiful and it made me so at ease while I was unwell. She reassured me and also made humorous conversation which I loved. She listened to everything I had to say and made sure I could have treatment. I was able to get some treatment which helped drastically and left a couple hours later. Her approach made a true difference to my recovery.
The doctor that attended my case was also thorough and polite, ensuring to check all of my symptoms and let me know what he was doing at different times.
I want to thank the staff very much for making my stay a positive one while I felt so unwell. I appreciate the excellent quality of care I received.
Absolutely disgraceful. Not friendly or helpful.
The staff at this hospital should be ashamed of themselves.
I came in on Friday the 3/2/23 with a swollen thumb as it was infected the doctor in Ed just looked at it gave me antibiotics and sent me home. On Sunday the 5th I’m back in with the same problem and been waiting for answers nearly 24hrs later they are going to operate but if the can’t fix the problem here the Will stitch me up and send me to Perth for the surgery. Sad that the WA health system is lacking and the lack of empathy from the doctor in ED on the Friday. Hopefully they can sort it out and show more care towards their patients. Would like to mention that the nurses that I’ve had are great and the one doctor I have spoken to today was great
Saved my life in September my family, friends and myself are forever grateful, you did a azing job.
Thank you to everyone involved
Never got to my appointment. People who are unwell simply can't go on a route march of 1/2 miles because the people in control as usual totally underestimate the parking required. Another glory project for the council of Albany.
My wife fell over late yesterday and bashed her face on hard bitumen in Albany. Ouch. We presented at the Emergency Dept to get a check-up and some pain relief. The service was friendly and very professional, thorough and totally satisfactory. Full marks all around and many thanks to the good Dr Richard (surname not known). This morning she is much better and slept well.
The care I was given here was exceptional. The nurses were kind and caring even when I was being unmanageable. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart
They see everything through the lense of “how do we minimise this person so we can disregard them and get them out the door ASAP” but only after they sit around for six hours.
I am currently experiencing chest pains and a numb left arm but have come to accept I will die from something that could be treated in most third world countries because I will not return to this prime example of decaying conservative healthcare and I refuse to be humiliated and told what to believe by z grade doctors.
Nurses great doctors arrogant doucherags.
Staff are very helpful. Its amazing how few people are in ED each day clogging up the waiting room during covid19 scares. If the general population can avoid the ED dept and go to the chemist or their Doctor for their 5 week old headache during Covid19 why cant they do the same before and after the Covid pandemic?
My advice don’t get sick or injured
No rush in this hospital. Tiny Ed waiting room for a town this size absolutely pathetic, nothing has been upgraded or expanded in the last 2 years in preparation for this supposed pandemic.
Awful, careless, no compassion worst hospital ever and I used to have to attend the Armadale Hospital, very tiny amount of people there that actually care.
I was forced to take medications on numerous occasions that I did not want by telling me if I didn't take the medication, that they would not help me and that I would have to leave, then later accused me of drug seeking behaviour.
I also remember on one occasion I was given some sort of sedative and then had an IV put in by a doctor, they stabbed me then walked off immediately, blood started pouring out of my arm but I couldn't get up or do anything because of the meds. Thank god one nurse happened to actually walk past, she fixed it, I was okay but nonetheless this is dangerous.
Horrific goes nowhere near enough to describe my experience. No care unlimited serious mistakes and 12 months later I’m still dealing with the physical and emotional trauma I was exposed. The hospital is trying to white wash my complaint.
I'm just saying 90% of anyone you speak with or help you recover.are the best of the best much respect for your patience and support!
Had the misfortune to require a day operation. My friend and I were talking the other day about politeness and respect disappearing from the community. Definitely alive and well with the staff here. To each other as well as patients. Well done and thanks.
I'm am extremely angry and disappointed with the Albany health campus (hospital) I've had two children at this hospital and both were sent to perth because of a lack of staff and nicu facilities for babies and then on top of that they refused for our babies to be transferred back to the albany hospital nothing but difficulty and stress for as new parents this is just not good enough Albany!
