The compound is nice and clean and peaceful and quiet. Each cottage is a comfortable distance from one another. We were lucky to have one that has a nice view of the pond. There are kangaroos that roam and wander into the compound so that was cool too. The distance into the town is not bad. It would have been a perfect experience but for the check-process. There is no staff on site and we were not given the door lock combination in our booking confirmation to be able enter the cottage. There was a slight panic for about 30 minutes as we tried to call the operator (the call was not picked up when we called and we had to call a few times before finally getting through) to ask how to check-in. As such, I am only giving 4 stars out of 5 stars for service.

We recently booked Acacia Chalets via the American Express website, specifically chalet 3 as it is a 3 bedroom home with dam view. Upon arriving to the Chalets we were advised by the host that chalet 3 was given to another group and we were provided with a 2 bedroom home (the confirmation that chalet 3 was booked and paid for was sent to the host). When originally making the booking we were unsure of the numbers therefore booked for 2 adults and 1 baby, however 4 adults and a baby attended therefore the 3 bedroom was required. We were however happy to make the
2 bedroom work As we understood there to was error on our part for not knowing specific numbers when booking. Although ridiculous that whilst booking a 3 bedroom home the number of people would matter (within reason) or affect bedding we were given sheets for one bed and we were advised that we were at the mercy of the cleaners (we advised we were happy to contact the cleaners and pay any additional fee they would charge to reattend, the host was unwilling to let this happen), told to pay additional funds for the additional people whilst being offered no consideration or discount for the wrong chalet being given, to source our own sheets and it was not the hosts problem that he has outdated information on the specific booking website. We have stayed in Margaret river countless times and this was the most unenjoyable and uncomfortable accomodation to date. The host is extremely rude and unreasonable, the home is unclean, the beds are unbearably uncomfortable and although the location is beautiful you aren't guaranteed to get what you booked. I regret not reading previous reviews where this has also been the case.

As there was error on both parts which we are happy to take responsibility for, we were willing to be reasonable by not requesting a discount for being provided the wrong chalet a simple "I will sort the sheets" would have sufficed. I can not recommend NOT booking Acacia Chalets anymore, save yourself from the stress of dealing with a man that hasnt got a clue.

We stayed in chalet 5 for 2 nights and would have happily stayed longer.
Quiet property not too far from town and our chalet was beautiful inside.
Highlight - the kitchen included an awesome bean coffee machine, and a few other little extras
Other feedback - it would be great to add a sign for chalet 4&5 near the existing 1-3 sign (we arrived at night due to flight delays, and it was not as clear in the dark), and a mirror on the cupboard in the bedroom would be a nice addition.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Acacia Chalet 4.
Beautiful bush land surroundings. Large home. We didn’t notice anyone else at property even though there are another 3 chalets. Very quiet. Close to Margret River & wineries.
Nice to have a fireplace, although on the flip side of that, they advertise wood supplied in there welcome booklet, none was there & we had to purchase our own.
Needs a up date in certain areas especially the bathrooms, mould in shower area needs a good scrub & bleach. Would also be a nice to have some nice body wash supplied. No shelf inside shower to put shampoos or wash on. Bath towels very old & scratchy almost thread bare. Shower in bathroom at end of hall didn’t work properly & makes loud noises when turned up.
We had a problem with our front door key & couldn’t lock the door one day. Advised management, followed there instruction, yet nothing was fixed.
No locality or winery maps supplied.
We arrived at night & no signage for chalet 4 & no lighting to find our way to door.
Only minor things that need attending to & care. The extra touches would make the difference.
Don’t let this deter you as it is a nice spacious home, good kitchen, comfortable large lounge, in a beautiful setting & nice outdoor furniture to relax in morning with breakfast or afternoon with your Margaret River wine purchase of the day.

Was very clean but not all the beds had sheets ‍️ or pillow cases. TV is 100million years old
And no welcome guest pack for info, like free wifi password.

Beautiful, spacious, tidy, central. Our stay was made to be very comfortable and enjoyable. There are many more little positive things to mention, but too many to list, one example is the quality mattress.
Thank you again for making our holiday even more wonderful, I'm sure we'll be back.

Had to be harrased for payment due to the accomodation provider not processing payment at time credit card information was presented for booking, then calling my girlfriend at her place of work demanding payment.

How they where able to obtain her contact details would of been stalking us as a couple on Facebook, absoloute disgrace.

My husband and I were very excited to be taking a well earned two day break this weekend, and booked Chalet 2 back in January, paying the required deposit. Hubby was then sent an email last Friday (8 days before the stay) and reminded of his booking for Chalet 1. My husband contacted Acacia Chalets via email to clarify that it was chalet 2 and not 1 (an inferior chalet) he had booked and paid for (booking confirmation from January supports this). He was advised that chalet 2 was not available and our only option was to take chalet 1, for the same price as chalet 2, or get a refund. No apology, offer of a discount for chalet 1 or anything resembling remorse for the mix up. Instead hubby was given the excuse that a new computer system was installed in April which must have accounted for the error. My husband asked for evidence to indicate that the guests who have been given chalet 2 had booked prior to us, in which case we would accept the mix up, however this request was ignored. I can only infer that the other guests were willing to stay for longer, which is why we were bumped. We assumed booking nine months in advance and paying a deposit would secure the accommodation, but evidently this was not the case.
After such a negative experience, we no longer wished to give our hard earned dollars to a company that is more concerned with accommodating the highest bidder, rather than honouring a contract.
As it is a long weekend in WA and like accommodation is impossible to find at such short notice, we are now left saddened and angry, with no choice but to abandon any thought of a much anticipated recharge.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Accomodation had everything we needed, clean and very well maintained. Quiet nature surrounded area that our kids just loved, yet not far from the town centre and attractions. Dean and Jo very lovely hosts who went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Highly recommended and hope to come back again soon!

We stayed at the Acacia Chalet (Chalet 3) for 6 nights, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Located amidst wilderness, it makes you forget your worries. Nature is at its best here - with wild kangaroos grazing at your doorstep and beautiful parrots flying around. Lauren was extremely helpful - our chalet didn’t have dishwasher tabs the first night so she came and delivered it to us, the first thing next morning. Very well equipped kitchen. Ideal place to stay for families with little children. Would like to come back again!

I stayed at Acacia Chalets for a few nights and it was absolutely perfect, Lauren and Kim are very gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome! Everything was immaculate and clean and incredibly well equipped! It is in the most perfect little part of Margaret river so it is so quiet and private yet so easy to go and explore and access all there is to do down south! Would highly recommend Acacia Chalets and I know I will be booking them again!

I cannot reccomend acacia chalets enough!

Lauren made sure we were very well looked after and was very attentive to if we needed anything!

Thank you so much for the stay guys!

I’m sure I will be visiting again!
