These guys should be named 'Below Electronics'. Their client service was close to non-existent. After three months of phoning for updates and receiving no reliable information, they suddenly wanted money up-front before they delivered my smart TV back. It then arrived with a damaged stand and even worse, the installing technician could not get it connected for WiFi streaming. He then suggested it was 'beyond him' and I should go to another company. Really? I've now paid $600+ for a repair to a smart TV that doesn't connect to WiFi. Go elsewhere.

Unsure on why there is so many bad reviews, have had an absolutely amazing experience with this company with great communication all throughout my warranty repair. Would highly recommend and will definitely return if I need any other of my items repaired. Shout out to Cassidy for her amazing admin work. Made the process seamless.

Worst company to deal with. They were supposedly handling a TV warranty but were incompetent and did nothing. Only followed up following phone calls from me. Gave up with them in the end. Would never recommend them.

I took in a three month old Panasonic microwave oven in mid December. I told the girl at reception the turntable had stopped turning while I was taking the chill off a banana from the fridge by heating it for 20 seconds, there was a smell of burning and smoke and the banana was burnt on the end.
The technician’s report said they found ‘banana juice’ in the turntable mechanism so Panasonic would not approve the work to be done under warranty.
I’ve never had a spill in that oven and the banana did not burst, and even if it had how the heck banana ‘juice’ could make its way under the turntable and into the workings is anyone’s guess.
When I rang in response to a text from them I was first told there was no charge, then someone rang back and said there was a $55 charge.
I sent an email saying I had never had a spill etc etc including a picture I took of said burnt banana, and received a phone call saying the state manager or someone would call me ‘soon’, that was about a month ago and I’ve heard nothing.
Terrible service.

The process of fixing electronics is very simple and easy. Call in ahead of time, drop off your electronic and come back in a few days time.

Three years ago I wrote: "Useless nerds! I took my minidisc recorder to get fixed only to get told parts were no longer available, paid the fee got the machine back in a less working; worse state than it was when I took it in! And customer service is putrid! "

"Hi Aaron, Sorry for the late reply but i need to address your comment. Your unit was brought in but as we found parts were no longer available and the technician had not opened it we refunded you the full amount. I wish you had entered on your review that you received a full refund! " I can assure you, I got NO such refund, I still paid the inspection fee, how would they know parts were no longer available if they NEVER opened it, for you would then not know what the problem was; avoid the muppets.

I had an out-of-warranty Panasonic flatscreen that flickered incessantly. The diagnosis fee was $180 but was told that this fee would be absorbed into the final fee if I choose to proceed with the repair. Anyway, it was diagnosed that the part to replace it was no longer available, which therefore renders the screen useless and there was no point in picking it up for ultimate disposal by myself anyway.

However, the 1 star is because I had just paid $180 for nothing in return, and feeling rather empty and out of pocket. If that possibility was raised to me when I brought the screen in (and from their experience they could have suggested I reconsider this due to the age of the screen), I could have reconsidered whether it was worth fixing at all, rather than paying the fee of $180 when thinking that it would be repairable and I intended to proceed with the repair. I mean, how would others feel about paying a hefty quotation fee of $180 and not being told of the possibility that it could be for nothing?

At the very least, perhaps Above Electronics could have refunded me half the amount as compensation for something that was unrepairable.

Sony HAP-S1 fixed as part of recall for screen issues. No fee, great service. Working perfectly again. Thanks.

Great service. Repaired our microwave under warranty no issues. Helped my wife put it in the car after her surgery.

Unhelpful. Slow. Can't tell you when they will call to attend. Can't follow instruction. Don't tell the truth. Don't call you back Practically everything you dont want in a tv repair company. Avoid.

Worst service I have ever had and I will never go there again. I cannot believe bad service exists these days, but it does. I felt sorry for the receptionist (not the younger one). The older one was helpful and concerned. It was a waste of $55 and now that I am a pensioner it makes me furious. Don't waste your time or money! You won't enjoy the experience.

My experience from beginning to end was painless and the staff extremely professional. I had to drop into their premises which I found clean, neat and professional. I couldn’t help ease dropping on one of the conversations the young girl had at reception. She was polite all the way with a very impolite gentleman on the phone. She had to repeat herself several times to explain the companies procedures. Some people just don’t listen or don’t want to be told the truth. I cannot believe some of the reviews given but then again only the complainers and keyboard warriors glorify themselves in their self righteousness. Anyone looking at having an honest, fair and fast repair should bring their goods into Above Electronics to be repaired. Well done everyone and especially to those hard working girls out the front. Thank you

Brought in a Yamaha amplifier to be checked for faults (warranty claim) and was told there was nothing wrong with it! I asked them if they had checked a primary feature and they refused to tell me what sort of testing had actually been performed. Flat out REFUSAL to give me the details on how or what was done during the testing procedure. For all I know they could have simply left the amplifier running without testing its primary feature (DAC) or not even connected it to any speakers. The amplifier still has the malfunction and has been tested in multiple places to do the same thing. As you can imagine, I'm very unhappy with the service and would advise anyone to avoid this place.
